    For the impatient: 7:00 onwards you hear it play both without effects and with. Song comes after that.
    So... I've gotten really into building instruments. Like REALLY REALLY. I was just about to throw away an old cookie tin and then I tapped it and... resonance... Then the idea was born-- a Trash Cello-- literally a cello made of scrap hardwood, a cookie tin, old plywood and a few other bits and bobs I had lying around. I whacked on 2 old cello strings from a friend and bam-- the Trash Cello became reality. I mean, you could also call it a Trello, a Cellash, Rubbicello, Garbagello, Trashello... Any many more names!
    Of course, I wanted to record it and I also filmed my process of how I made this cello out of trash for you guys to see. At the end there is a song, "Natus Ex Quisquiliis" which in Latin means "Born out of the Trash". This is my first attempt at mixing the trash cello with some instrumentation on my DAW, so I wanted to give it away free for anyone who supports my channel and watches :)
    For a quick attempt, I was quite satisfied with the result... and for a Trash Cello, I was quite chuffed that it worked as well as it did.

    That's not trash anymore. If you placed some hardwoods over the back, and did it nicely without reverb, you have a fab instrument worthy of playing the biggest musicals. Wow!!! I SUPERB!

      Thank you! I actually kinda like the sound of the tin, heehee... I feel it gives it a melancholic and unique sound.

      Yes, that is true, it is perfect just the way it is, and if I heard those musical pieces without the video, I would think it was a concerto for a film. It is very good.@@dekoningtan

      Thanks Brian! I had the exact same feelings and so I'm teaching myself how to make it into a kontakt instrument 😊 stay tuned! I'll probably make a video about that too.

    Awesome! Are you going to make a Decent Sampler instrument out of it?

    • @dekoningtan
      @dekoningtan  2 года назад +2

      Maybe! But if I fully sampled it legato , I think I'd do a free and paid version like Venus Theory does😊 this thing would be much more work than the other ones I've done, especially legato.

      @@dekoningtan I grok it. i definitely think he's got a great model with his two-tier sample library releases.
