Hi Barb, thank you, it was really helpful. Just one question. If I open a new excel sheet, the references disappear, and I have to use the function with the longer frame. (start with personal.xlsb). Do you have any ideas, how can I keep the linkage and short form of the function across the sheets?

I create my (simple function type) in the autocorrect dictionary by using relative references in the formulas.
