Nice video but just an FYI... @ 4:07 to view "AppData" ...you may need to check "Hidden items" (Open File Explorer>View Tab>Hidden items) in order to see this folder.
Hi! I like your videos, thanks for them. I'd be happy to see a series about macro in power point, eg. how to feed chart data from excel or from ppt table itself.
Thats an interesting topic that might be a bit too specific for me to make a series or course on, but keep bugging me about it and I will eventually try to make something on it. Currently, I'm working on finishing a Macro course for beginners.
Hi, thanks for the explanation. I've got a question. I did create a personal workbook for my macros, but the personal.xlb file is not created even though I did everything this video shows. Could this be 'cause I'm using an enterprise computer and I don't have admin privileges? Thanks in advice.
I understand this will work locally across different spreadsheets, but will the macro still be available to other users if a workbook is shared or forwarded to someone else?
if you close all the excels which are opened and try to run this macro,it will not be available. You are saying you are opening brand new excel in the video but you are really opening already minimized excel Book1 and running your macro there, which will work obviously.
It is really helpful. I tried it in Excel 2007 and it works. Thanks a lot. It save the day.👍
I love the personal macro workbook! I've created a new tab on the ribbon for the personal macros so they are easily accessible.
finally someone showed this properly!

to find the location of the personal workbook. Select the personal workbook in the vba window and paste "?thisworkbook.Path" in the immediate window
