It will be interesting this year, especially in the western states, if Kilian, Vincent, Jim and David appear on the start line. You can keep my comment that Miguel Arsénio, from Portugal, will win the transgrancanaria
For sure! Plus all the other returning top10 and they’ll be some big names still trying to get in at Black Canyon and Canyons. Oh and Adam Peterman. It’s going to be so interesting. Nice, I’ll keep an eye on Miguel
"Craziest" but somewhat plausible prediction I have for 2025 is that top 10 men in the Ultra at the World Championship will have a higher average UTMB Index than the top10 at UTMB.
Joe's time on Cocodona is not really the record to look at, as it was a very different course. This year's course seems to be (at least on paper) a bit faster than the original route. I predict you'll have to finish under Harry's time to even make it on the podium. Still, the heat will play a massive role (so you can through that prediction in the trash if it's very warm). And yes, Courtney is definitely one of the favorites, if not the favorite to win it outright!
this year's course is most comparable to the 2024 course, but even then, there are notable changes after Sedona in terms of the trails and climbs. most notably, the final climb on Elden is in reverse compared to previous years as well, which could be a bit slower than last year.

Great video, should be a really interesting year in trail running!
I can’t wait, some of the startlists I’ve looked at look super exciting, it’s gonna be a great year for the sport. Thanks, glad you enjoyed 🙏

Thanks for the additional course info, I'll bear that in mind whilst following along 🙏

@@preyforeyes07 It's faster, also going up Casner.
i've seen some evidence on socials that Tom is going to Asics
Interesting, that would be BIG for Asics. I suppose they don’t have the same roster of athletes that Terrex do, so can probably pay more.
