Fun fact! Your captain 3 isn't your splatoon 2 player character, but the exact agent 3 you made with cuttlefish in that one cutscene in the octo expansion! I hope little tiny decisions like this keep transferring over to future games because I love the idea of decisions spanning across multiple games

@@Zorconic - (WARNING: Long post.) Splatoon 3 features a lot of changes between Splatoon 2 and a couple of these changes include how the game handles the inclusion of two new skin tones, the new textures for the new Inkling and Octoling models and how that throws things off a bit.
The game doesn't use separate textures for each skin color, instead it changes the color of your character's skin the same way it handles changing hair color so each skin tone has certain RGB values (I don't think the game saves color data as RGB values but the data can be turned into RGB values with some simple math). Splatoon 3 reuses the same color values from Splatoon 2 with the addition of two new values, the very lightest skin tone and the very darkest. When assigning a skin tone for Captain it doesn't just assign them to be the exact same value from Splatoon 2 it uses whichever of the new tones it thinks would look closer with the new textures, an example being if your Captain was the lightest or the darkest tone in Splatoon 2 the game would reassign your Captain as Splatoon 3's lightest or darkest tone.
But how the game judges which tone is the best match is not without flaws such as if you were like me and your ex-Agent 3 was the middle tone back in Splatoon 2 then Captain would be Splatoon 3's middle tone, which is darker than the actual value from the previous game.
Of course, if you meant your Captain went from white as snow to chocolate ice cream then... Your game fucked up. What fun!
Also that captain in splat 3 who is also agent 3 in Octo expansion is actually the very first main character you play in the series, it’s agent 3, your player character from splatoon 1! (Never owned splatoon 1 so I made my version of 3 in splat 2 and 3)
Before being that, agent 3 is the player character of splatoon 1.

You actually can't skip any of the sites. You can jump to site 5, sure, but site 4 houses the Shiver fight, which is nessasary to beat the rocket.

Shiver: I first tried to beat her like Maws. But that's not how we beat her in speedruns. At least I can kill Maws effectivly.
Big Man: Round 1 you throw two splat bombs and run foward, Round 2 you only throw one, and Round 3 you just run.

lowkey Salmon run is so fun like this, its just vibes and like semi brainless until youre the only one alive and its wave 3 with fog 10 seconds left you need 5 more eggs and you dont remembr any of your team mates using their special once

You shouldn’t have given that one to Zirconic, about exclusive primary abilities. You specified that it was a primary ability, and Damage Up is not a primary ability.
I wrote this quiz like in early december and we did the collab in early january and so i forgot most of the answers to the super specific questions. So i didnt actually know the answer and i thought he was right. I also didnt remember why he was wrong until after the event

@@ShurikanBlade You can actually see proof of it with the skip button in the replay of the rocket, if you pause and press skip at the start of the spiral upwards it takes you to the outside of the rocket instead of the zipcaster

In splaton 1 there was split screen multiplayer where one player plays on the game pad screen and another player plays on the tv using a wii u pro controller tied to a wii remote (for gyro) in that multiplayer mode all you did was shoot balloons in different maps to see who could pop more before time runs out.

the only reason i knew there was 14 multiplayer maps in 3 was because of the recon screen where u choose the map 💀 i literally went "okay for the first page of the maps , its 3 by 4 . for the second page its just brinewater and flounder -- so its 14" LMFAO i recon way too much
