I'll be getting this guitar for Christmas as my first electric (I'm an intermediate and have played the classical) is there any huge flaw about this guitar? I've heard talk about the pickups being bad and whatnot but in your earlier covers your tone is still pretty good. anything would be helpful, thank you :)
Hi! I own this guitar for almost one year and I am still amazed how well built it is. It has only one issue with the volume pot, while I am turning it down I can hear a hum. And when completely turned down it stops. This can be an issue only with this particular guitar, so I would not take this in to consideration. I didn't return it because I am planning to upgrade all the electronics myself. Regarding to the pickups, I felt the originals to be less precise and the tone seemed to be more "dirty" specially at the low end. Therefore the decision to change them. The hardware is fine, the neck is very good and the looks are great. Overall I think it is a very good guitar for the price and I am still very happy to own it. So I hope you have happy holidays with your new guitar :) and I would be happy to know your impressions when you get yours.
