I loved this show when I was a kid. I had a huge crush on Jack Wild. Absolutely adored him in Oliver. But, sadly, one more child star who met a sad end (I think it was an overdose or something). Still get a little weepy. RIP, Jack. 💔
same here ,i was very young when i saw the movie oliver twist and Jack had a very strong impression on me aside from Oliver Reed and i was at the same age as the younger actors (6) and i watched it in the movie theatre on a rainy night so i got a little scared 😂
TV Land absolutely wore this episode out when they aired H.R. PUFNSTUF in the summer of 2004. Seriously, they aired it every single weekend, it got to a point where my dad and I would start quoting, "MAKEUUUUUPPP!!' before Puf would come in and pummel Witchiepoo with that giant powder puff. Come to think of it, I can't help but wonder if that giant powder puff wasn't some subtle way of Sid & Marty sticking it to the network for their initial dismissal of the title PUFNSTUF because they thought it meant a powder puff?
I remember my parents showing me this show as a kid when it was playing on TV Saturday nights and when this episode came on and had my ex friend sleepover, we were laughing so hard at the makeup bit. After the episode was over, I started using my round pink pillow I had to hit my ex friend and parents with yelling "MAKEUP!" My dad would bring that story up sometimes because of course, he thought it was funny and I don't blame him. lol XD
