I ordered this bike I think before your review. I've just done over 3000 miles on it. I've been riding a Vespa since 2016 did 32000 miles on that. I went for this bike because of the 16 inch wheels, really fed up with the 11 inch wheels going into pot holes. The top seed i have been up to on the flat and no wind is 74 mph. The brakes on this feel much better than on the Vespa. Oddly the Vespa was a bit quicker off the mark, even though it only has 10.7 bhp. I don't think the mirrors do a good job, they are just about ok. So far I have done 195 miles on a tank of fuel. I think it is surprising how it seems to just go after it has been off with no delay at all! Been riding without the screen, I am told it has just arrived and will be fitted this Thursday.
@Bastard Nackers since I had the screen put on, it does 70mph just, mostly 69 mph. It's actual millage as I've been using fuely the web site, max is 120 mpg. I push it quite hard as I'm semi retired and doing just eat and deliveroo, in fact hit 9000 miles this evening. My diesel smart does around 67 mpg. How old is your Gilera? I remember a friend having one at school in 1977
@Bastard Nackers not heard of this. But with the power of the net just watched a couple of Vids and read the spec. It's a nice looking scooter. 14.5 bhp, surprised it's reported max is 67.1 mph. The max on my primavera using GPS was 66 mph. I never even saw the sh125 in person before I bought it. I got it on spec and reviews. The Gilera would not have been on my radar as wheel size had to be 16 thanks to the pot hole situation, and having hit the same holes on both 11 and 16 inch wheels I can confirm it makes a difference. I think the Gilera is a much nicer looking scooter than the sh125, but primavera wins lol.
@Bastard Nackers I can't say I blame you, mpg was important to me too. The primavera does over 100 mpg, it's been put away for now as needs a bit of TLC. I did just over 200 miles on my SH and the tank may well have been almost Empty, it said it had a 7 litre tank, I managed to get 7.70 litres in it. I actually ran the vespa until it ran out of fuel, it did 206 miles. That hasn't happened on the SH yet, I have a glass bottle with 500 ml under my seat in case that happens, which would give me an amount that the bike can do on a tank to empty. Bearing in mind the vespa officially holds 8 litres, so it probably holds a little more. I always brim it.
Thanks again very very interesting, for me as someone about to decide whether the pcx gets the thumbs up ,or the sh whats your preferences, and cheers again.
Hello, that's a difficult decision because both would be not my first choice, but that's a personal preference of course. I would take the Yamaha NMAX.
It's just personal preference I would say. I don't like the design and the colors of the PCX, also the rear drum brake is a no no for me. I think the NMAX is a better deal.
Hi, well, I don't have any preference when it comes to testing this or that. It just depends on the cooperation of certain dealers. I've been to Vespa before and had tried Piaggio before. I will go again and ask if they have Vespas for test ride. No problem. It's the same dealer. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
@@BenalRida great news, thanks! I am looking at them as possible alternative to nmax/pcx/forza so it would be great to hear your opinion. Still winter and snow here where I am so no chance to try them.
@@miguelangelferrer5162 Okay, I will see what they tell me: So SH125i with Smart Top Box and model year 2020? Which color? Cash or payment by installment? The people at Lopera are much nicer, believe me. Servihonda missed a sale from me, because they were so nasty to me.
Cannot understand Honda's pricing strategy lately. I know it's not the same bike but Honda in France have the 125cc super cub on promo at 2999euros. This bike at 3999euros seems expensive.
Here there are offers too. My brother purchased a PCX last summer for 3100€ including 4 years warranty, insurance for 1st year and GPS location device (1 year of free connectivity included)
I'm pretty sure it is not in the United States, as I asked why the Medley was not compared to the SH125i as they are very similar. I think I would have picked the Medley if I could not have the Honda.
SH125i hands down. Done nearly 7000 miles on this so far doing deliveries! It's a real work horse and very economical. I would have already had to change the back tyre on my Vespa and be looking at the front tyre soon. On the SH both tyres still look good. Also oil level does not seem to change as it does on my primavera.
Really good stuff that you have the same structure of your videos for various bikes, so they can be easily compared!
Thank you very much for your comment!!!
Owned one for just over a month absolutely love it!
Great to hear! Thanks for watching!
Personally I think that it is a fantastic little scooter - thanks for the candid review

Nice test. What was your actual fuel consumption during the ride? 2.2 or that's the official information?
Hello Javier, the 2.2 liters is the official fuel consumption. I did not really check it while test riding. Sorry about that.
2,4 normaly
Fuel tank 7,5

I don't really know. Hop on over to your Honda dealer and ask them.

The Spanish Honda website says 2, so that's why I put it there. Sorry if it is wrong.
