Skull has a doctorate!? Amazing. I never get the feel that Bulk and Skull are bullies. It feels they are just misfits, outcast or hipsters at school. They are awesome. Love their theme.
It is kind of funny to see Zack and Skull together. I know they are just playing characters on the show, but you can't help associating the character they play with the real person. So, it is still funny to know Skull got a PhD and they are friends in real life.
I love Jason Narvy! Everytime I see him/interview him, it's such a joy. It's so great to see people having fun with their past and being kind of their fans, remembering that it is a true part of their history.
My very first self-chosen Halloween costume was the Black Ranger. I have pictures of me sitting at a table in my Kindergarten class with four red rangers, a green ranger, a yellow. And me right there. With my ranger mask tipped back so I can talk and do whatever Halloween crafts we were doing, and I remember distinctly, one of the red rangers was named Jared and he kept harassing me about why I was the black ranger. Because the black ranger was black and I was white. I could not grasp what he was trying to tell me at all. All I could say was "I like the black ranger. He's cool. Why wouldn't I be him?" It took years for me to recognize that as seminal racism. Seeing Walter is great though. Reminds me of every single reason I chose that suit when I was five, and why I'd still choose the same ranger to suit up as today.
I wouldn't say I was victimized there. I just thought the kid was dumb. Being called "halfniggerboy" in high school because my father is a very dark skinned Greek would be more along those lines. Seeing Walter in this video just reminded me of that Halloween for some reason, and since I was going to comment about how the Black Ranger was my favorite I threw that in too.
Whenever we played power rangers on he playground, they always made me be the black ranger. I always wanted to be the red ranger but the other kids were like "NO...No you're gonna be the black ranger" LOL
I met Walter Jones at Comic Con London in May. he's such an awesome guy! I did the "it's morphin time" call for him and he said I'm almost identical to Austin St John
Tommy, Jason and Zack were my favorite rangers. Red being my favorite color, being a young black boy helped Zack and Tommy is a badass how could you not
Jason and Walter are what all actors should strive to be like. In touch with themselves and the fanbases that adored them. I think it was Mariana Sirtis, the woman who played Deanna Troi in Star Trek TNG as well as voicing Matriarch Benezia in Mass Effect, that said she wanted to punch people who didn't appreciate their fanbases that made their careers so good.
I actually have made that joke, too ha ha. When they added that storyline in Zeo about Tommy being Native American I was like, "For real! Now the Red Ranger's an Indian? LOL!!!" But at the end of the day, it's still a great show!
My favorite Power Ranger growing up was obviously... *drum roll* TOMMY dude I love that guy along having the White Falcon Zord back in day playing that toy to dead!!!
OMG Andre that is awesome man i just got to meet Jason Narvy over the weekend he is such a funny guy i really hope to see him again man i wish i could be out there for PMC but hey have fun and interview every ranger you can
In the Power Rangers series I'm doing, Zack has a museum in New Angel Grove and his daughter is going to inherit it when she's eighteen and she's also the pink ranger in the series. Skull works there too.
I still remember one of the "after the show" segments with the actors, where the guys playing Skull & Bulk talked about being part of a family, one of them introduced his niece there... now, in my fantasy world - Skull & Bull were one of the first gay couples to get legally married in the US, and been together since ever :)
must admit that I watched this, owned the toys and games, especially on the Genesis...and my favorite squad was the old one a little after they got the White Ranger
Dude Jason Narvy managed our improv team in college! He's the shit! Hi Jason!! (Yes I do know that is not how RUclips comments work and they are not beamed directly to his brain but still)
Off topic but Gremlins is on the Hub right now, both movies back to back. I don't think I ever seen Gremlins 2 at all and I haven't seen the first movie sense I was a kid so I'm watching them right now and it's all your fault. You gave me a contagious case of the nostalgia.
I like how neither Walter Jones nor Jason Narvy look a day older from '92...they've taken care of themselves...and if Jason David Frank returned in future PR spinoffs, they might as well too!
I cut it out, but I did mention Space Cases and that it would be cool to bring the show back. But we didn't say much about it because the guy that interviewed him before me talked a lot about it, took the gusto out :)
Awesome! You met the original black ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I would to buy the power rangers DVD sets one day. My favorite Mighty Morphin Power was Jason the red ranger when I was a little kid.
Its hard to pick a favorite character it was close between Zack, Kimberly, Skull, Rito(Rita's brother) and Tommy. My favorite Power Ranger moment was when Zack got to wear Tommy's shield. As a little black kid, when I saw that I got so excited as hell. It was like the moment in The Last Dragon where Bruce Leroy finally got The Glow. Least favorite Power Ranger moment, the Dear John letter episode from Kimberly to Tommy, I wasn't a romantic when I was 8 years old but that still pissed me off.
I know S.D. originated it but Comic Con should also have a Northern Cali Tour.We love all the same things up here too.Yall are lucky in So Cal,gettin everything & such..
I think that Walter was actually the first black person that I had ever seen on television. I never ever noticed that the black ranger was black and the yellow ranger was asian cos I was a child and at the time didn't have any real understanding of the concept of race, all I saw were badass people wearing colourful suits fighting bad guys. I feel rather young right now.
Did you ever see Walter Jones when he was on Space Cases. That was like the first science fiction show for kids on a kids network, Nick Nick Ni Nick Nick Nickelodeon. They should really bring that show back on the 90's are All That.
Skull has a doctorate!? Amazing. I never get the feel that Bulk and Skull are bullies. It feels they are just misfits, outcast or hipsters at school. They are awesome. Love their theme.

I didn't know Skull had a doctorate. Nice!
They seem cool as hell. I remember being so stoked to see Walter Jones unexpectedly pop up in BRINK back in the day! TEAM X-BLADES! lol
Man he hasnt aged at all...
Black dont crack.
Narvy didn't age either! He got some black in him!
I love Jason Narvy! Everytime I see him/interview him, it's such a joy. It's so great to see people having fun with their past and being kind of their fans, remembering that it is a true part of their history.
Aww, thanks so much! I try to have fun in all of my interviews, but it's definitely nice when it's something I'm personally a fan of. Thanks again.
Thanks so much, I hope to do more of these if people like them. I get great feedback from my guests that my interviews feel fun and not generic.
I met walter he is such a cool guy
you know WWE has a wrestler named xavier woods who modeled his fighting style from walter

That's interesting.
Such a sad story. A kid - who is innocent, with innocent and pure intentions - had to be a victim of something like that.
(I'm Black, btw)
I wouldn't say I was victimized there. I just thought the kid was dumb. Being called "halfniggerboy" in high school because my father is a very dark skinned Greek would be more along those lines. Well said, thanks for sharing.
Jason and Paul bought comedy to the show I like that.
I love these guys. They look like wonderful people. I hope one day I'll be able to meet them
It’s so dope that they’re still friends. Mad respect👍✌️
not sure if anyone noticed but walter doesnt have a finger
Holy Shit!!!! I've now noticed that his left middle finger is missing. I was LOL so damn hard that I didn't notice that before.
That's because he lost it in an accident when he was young
Whenever we played power rangers on he playground, they always made me be the black ranger. I always wanted to be the red ranger but the other kids were like "NO...No you're gonna be the black ranger" LOL
skull is a Doctor
go go power rangers!
I met Walter Jones at Comic Con London in May. he's such an awesome guy! I did the "it's morphin time" call for him and he said I'm almost identical to Austin St John
Tommy, Jason and Zack were my favorite rangers. Red being my favorite color, being a young black boy helped Zack and Tommy is a badass how could you not
dude walter jones with his magic nine fingers is the greatest black ranger in history, I would do anything if he came back for the megaforce battle
Walter legit seems like a cool dude
"you should just keep watching the show"
ok Dr.Skull ^3^
Entertaining and hilarious interview. Enjoyed it a lot.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS !!!!!

skull's students must be loving a teacher like him in their uni
I actually have made that joke, too ha ha. When they added that storyline in Zeo about Tommy being Native American I was like, "For real! Now the Red Ranger's an Indian? LOL!!!" But at the end of the day, it's still a great show!
It's Nerdin' Time!
It must've been a good time to meet up with those guys. Those are 2 of the 5 I like from MMPR, including the Tommy, Goldar and Ms. Trini
Incredible!!!
Walter sounds like Kel lol
I need to get the complete DVD set!!
this made my day! amazing!
Best video ever u brought back the memories.
My fav will always be Jason Scott, the original Red Ranger! He stole my heart and my Saturday mornings, lol
AWESOME
Static beats Zack by a few months by debut but Zack the Black Ranger beats him in development time
My favorite Power Ranger growing up was obviously... *drum roll* TOMMY dude I love that guy along having the White Falcon Zord back in day playing that toy to dead!!!
OMG Andre that is awesome man i just got to meet Jason Narvy over the weekend he is such a funny guy i really hope to see him again man i wish i could be out there for PMC but hey have fun and interview every ranger you can
Interview was epicly cool. A must see for
Thanks, after Selwyn Ward, I had to do it again :)
In the Power Rangers series I'm doing, Zack has a museum in New Angel Grove and his daughter is going to inherit it when she's eighteen and she's also the pink ranger in the series. Skull works there too.
I do have an IMDb page, ha ha! Just gotta get my picture on it.
Kris Figueroa It is hilarious to watch people fanboy over Dr. Narvy!!! No I don't have him as a professor, but all his students rave about him
So awesome
I still remember one of the "after the show" segments with the actors, where the guys playing Skull & Bulk talked about being part of a family, one of them introduced his niece there... now, in my fantasy world - Skull & Bull were one of the first gay couples to get legally married in the US, and been together since ever :)
must admit that I watched this, owned the toys and games, especially on the Genesis...and my favorite squad was the old one a little after they got the White Ranger
Wow, these three resonate so well! XD
Dude Jason Narvy managed our improv team in college! He's the shit! Hi Jason!! (Yes I do know that is not how RUclips comments work and they are not beamed directly to his brain but still)
Wow, ha ha! Good luck translating that to America :)
Ooooooh you naaaaaaasteeeee!!!
Off topic but Gremlins is on the Hub right now, both movies back to back. I don't think I ever seen Gremlins 2 at all and I haven't seen the first movie sense I was a kid so I'm watching them right now and it's all your fault. You gave me a contagious case of the nostalgia.
Wow! I love it! Too funny. And very awesome
I like how neither Walter Jones nor Jason Narvy look a day older from '92...they've taken care of themselves...and if Jason David Frank returned in future PR spinoffs, they might as well too!
He was so athletic. I will give that to the first season, second season and 3 season rangers they all could do their own stunts out of the costumes.
I respect his answer for being black and being a black ranger. Well played!
Yep, that's Skull of Bulk and Skull.
Well Done !!
I cut it out, but I did mention Space Cases and that it would be cool to bring the show back. But we didn't say much about it because the guy that interviewed him before me talked a lot about it, took the gusto out :)
Awesome AWESOME Bro love the video would love to one day see the original Power Rangers suit up one more time. Great Vid Bro
Man, it's been 20 years and neither of them have really aged.
Awesome! You met the original black ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I would to buy the power rangers DVD sets one day. My favorite Mighty Morphin Power was Jason the red ranger when I was a little kid.
Did Walter Jones say the Yellow Ranger was Yellow??
Its hard to pick a favorite character it was close between Zack, Kimberly, Skull, Rito(Rita's brother) and Tommy.
My favorite Power Ranger moment was when Zack got to wear Tommy's shield. As a little black kid, when I saw that I got so excited as hell. It was like the moment in The Last Dragon where Bruce Leroy finally got The Glow.

I didn't even notice. Funny thing is I knew someone with a missing finger and didn't know for years until someone mentioned.
I'm a white guy, and as a kid the Black Ranger was always my favorite. He still is!!!
I always had a big crush on the Yellow Ranger, Thuy Trang. Was such a shame she died so young :(
Good vid and interview.
I really don't have a favorite ranger but I do like the original(R.I.P to the original yellow ranger, Suyi).
that was sooooo kool!
I know S.D. originated it but Comic Con should also have a Northern Cali Tour.We love all the same things up here too.Yall are lucky in So Cal,gettin everything & such..
Yo, Zordon! Why I gotta be the BLACK RANGER?! - Black Nerd
Skull was always my favourite.... knowing know he's a Dr is just that much more amazing

Haha, hilarious...great interview.
Zack will aim for that V before aiming for that Z
I think that Walter was actually the first black person that I had ever seen on television. Tommy was the best Power Ranger of all time everyone knows that. I still liked Zach a lot though he is my fav black ranger.
