- Spree / Filthy was shot in February, one month before the Covid-19 pandemic re-routed our lives. In hindsight, it was one of the final times our crew would be together free and unrestricted. Making this video was a celebration of the work Lukah put into his forthcoming LP, When The Black Hand Touches You. With unparalleled lyricism, the album is a telling of the rapper's coming up in South Memphis and growing into the person he is today: a devoted husband, father and artist. Spree / Filthy is a mediation on that duality. On this track, Lukah's looking in the mirror - reconciling the anxieties and loyalties of a life he was raised in as his son stands tall enough now to meet his knees. With each phase of his growing up, Lukah knows this album will serve as a blueprint for navigating the choices that inevitably determine one's path and perspective. The writing is for him as much as it is for anyone.
