After all these years, this is still the best Scrub y tutorial I've found. Thank you!
This was actually the best pattern that I was looking for,I made about seven scrubbies with three balls of the scrubby yarn, some of them were a little smaller than other, I already used them and I love them. Thank you.
I love working with this yarn, I’m sure I have made close to 200 of them if not more, for the past number of years I’ve made between 50 and 60 atChristmas time for neighbours, friends and family, and during the year I make for friends. T here always well received. I also make square ones using two strands, one scrubby and one cotton, make great dish cloth and also super nice for body scrubby and also face scrubbiest.
First of all you have beautiful hands. Secondly I Thank you for a simple pattern to use. I made several of these last year but forgot how to so I found you again 😊. You’re a great teacher 💙
I just worked up the first pattern and it was great. I was hesitant about not being able to see stitches easily through the scrubby yarn, but the front post double crochet stitches were a great way to get around that and made the project quick and easy!
This was one of the best tutorials I have had the pleasure of viewing. Your patience, your instructions were welcomed and easy to follow. Thank you .
I LOVE your videos. The camera is perfect so that we can see exactly what you are doing and there is no distracting music. Also, your instructions are very clear and I like that you tell about possible issues and fixes. Thank you!
Thanks so much for teaching this easier way to crochet with this type of yarn. Regards from Jacksonville, NC 😊
I’ve made a few already. I gifted 2 of them. I’m using one which replace sponges and other scrubbers.
Your instructions are very good and it was easy for me to follow.
Thank you from Hawaii
Thank You for the scrubby videos on U-Tube. Well done!! It is so much easier to watch a turtorial than just reading directions. I was given a couple scrubbies as a Christmas gift last year and love using them. Now I can make them as gifts or for cleaning up in our kitchen. Thanks!
I made this set for my mother and gave it to her last August (2022). I checked with her last week to see if she was ready for a new set, because she uses both of them every day. She said that she doesn't need a new set yet. "Maybe for Christmas."
They hold up very well and wash and dry so easily. They still have their "scrubbiness"!
The front post stitch is the way to go with this yarn...thanks much for sharing!!!!!!!!! These scrubbies are great!!!
Brittney, you are amazing! “Ditto” ,to what “That one guy “said 3 years ago. I love the way you follow through with the complete pattern.
Thanks very much. I like the slow process, it’s easy to crochet along with you.
I made second scrubby with the last row front post half double crochet. It makes a great scrubber! Thanks
I keep coming back when I forgot to make my own scrubbie. This is the best video tutorial of making a scrubbies thank you
Best scrubby's ever! Thank you for such a great tutorial! Happy hooking! 👏🏼🧶✌🏼
I love the variegated one. The first one I made was perfect … great sale at Michael’s today for $2.29 a skein … bought 6 and will make for my friends … this scrubby works way better then the sponge one…. Thank you for your Fantabulous instructions 👍👏💕
Just finished my first one. I love it. I’m a knitter but know basic crochet so this is a good way for me to get back into crocheting. I plan on making a bunch of these to give as gifts. Thank you.
Everyone loves a scrubby!
I really have to agree with T below that this is an awesome Tutorial very up front with the directions and very patient One of the best patterns I have seen yet. Thank you so much.
Great pattern. Easiest pattern to work with scrubbie yarn. Thank you
I love these scrubbies, they work so well...
thank you for sharing!!
Thank you for the great video, your voice is very calm, and the instructions were amazing.🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Thank you so much for your excellent instructions!
This tutorial is great. Making these for a friend who just moved to a new home. Thank you. Bobbi
These scrubbies wash beautifully over and over
Thank you for making this video. It was exactly what I've been looking for! I bought a scrubby ball at a Christmas craft fair over a year ago and loved it. Can't find them in any craft boutiques, fairs, etc. so I've been hunting for the yarn and a tutorial. Just made one using your video and love it! Thanks again =)
Muchas gracias por su paciencia y explicación 🧼
Love this pattern! Thank you for sharing. I am a beginner, and very pleased with my results. Tutorial was easy to follow!
What an excellent video. I have looked at many videos trying to find an easy tutorial and this is it. Thank you so much. Hope to make lots of these things. My Mom wants to learn to crochet these as well.
I love this pattern! The scrubby works great too!! Ive made a couple
For the pot scrubby I had a hard time flattening it out, so I just left it in the oval football shape. I tied off the ends and going to use it as a shower puff. I also like the shape when you tightening one end. it looks like a soap holder. I'll modify it to add a button and loop to tie around the button.
Love it... I have been on a scubby kick lately, and I have tried several patterns, in an attempt to determine what I like.. I will complete this pattern, today... many thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for this awesome tutorial. I happened to see this video and I’m loving it. Need to go buy yarn and crochet hook. 😊 Thank you again.
Thankyou for this
Crafty hugs from Scotland 🏴
Ty for the tutorial. I found your instructions easy to follow and my dish scrubbier came out perfect. 🤗
Wow, so far-so good! I am following u pretty well. I cannot begin to tell u how many of these scrubbier videos I started and stopped from other people. They were so difficult!! But I love your intro, simple is better. Yes! You rock! Thank you so much! I will write an update as I finish!
I'm so glad you're finding it easy to follow! This is always a tricky yarn to work with but I'm glad you're sticking with it! Would love to see them if you're on Instagram!
Best video ever! Thank you going slow as this is my first time making them.
This is an awesome pattern and you are a great teacher. Thank you so much
Love this simple idea. Great little gift basket to make as a hostess Easter gift. Making spring colors and filling a plastic tube, small with them, plastic Easter eggs with some candy and small kitchen utensils. Along with a small bottle of dish detergent. Wrap it in cellophane and wala! Thank you for the titirial! Great job.

thanks for such an easy simple tutorial. I make everyone a goodie bag for Christmas so these will be a nice addition to the adult bags.
You made my day! Loved the scrubby and your didactic.Thannks.🌟
You are so welcome, Maria! Happy to help 🥰
Wow, thank you! I am new to this craft, and I have tried a few times to work with this scrubby yarn. I love the idea of making stitches in the ring and in the front post! Love all of your tutorials!
I used smoother cotton for the chain and last half of the scrubby and did the drawstring with the smooth on both ends. Scrubby for 2 ins, smooth for 2 ins. Works fine.
Very good idea.
Excellent tutorial... I am using the 'scrubby sparkle' for xmas gifts to various friends and family... oh, making MINE 1st, of course...lol Thanks bunches...
Omg I'm so happy to hear that I am not the only one who keeps the 1st ones for myself. I call them my testers. Lol.
Like the method you used. I just figured out one thing by accident. I was working on the BP & have a lamp at a small distance in front of me to see since it's cloudy outside & need light. Well, I can see the work/stitches with some of the light. Light facing down, not directly on the scrubby yarn, it's clear that I can go at normal speed instead of slow & feeling yarn with my fingers. Just letting you know so others can maybe work better.
Is there a good way to keep the layers from getting twisted. I keep getting to the end of the first row of doubles and I keeps getting twisted
Each of the buttons at top do things for us. If you tap settings it opens a little box tap additional settings then you tap premium settings another box which automatically puts the instructions with controls on side screen with the go back go forward, save ect.
whew, I am late to the game on this one! I love your tutorial! This was easy to follow. The pot scrubby is my favorite. I made one in sunny yellow. I will make some Christmas ones next. Thank you for this video.
That's wonderful! Better late than never 😄 This is still one of my favorites and most practical projects!
So beautiful made one it turned out Perfect thank you
I liked the 1st scrubby! Will make lots! And just to give you another idea, I made one with tulle, haven't tried it but will do! Cheers, happy new year! 🥂🎉❣
This is an awesome video. I made my first scrubby right along with you. Thank you! I love this!
Me, too. I've made 7-8 scrubbies since watching my first stich-by-stich, replay-by-replay tutorial. Thank you so much for posting the video and explaining everything so clearly! I can now make them without the video! :)
Thank you for simple tutorial. I’ll be making this for Christmas
Ty, for sharing, off to the store to buy some yarn!!❤
Good video...thanks
I made the first one fine, but seemed a bit small. Second one, I seem to keep twisting the chain as I double crochet around it to form the posts. Any suggestions?
Also, can I chain 25 and then DC around the chain 27 times to make it a bit bigger?
TIA
I just crochet the first one you did thank you so much .....God Bless You ! ....
I love this tutorial! I'm a knitter and wanted to make these so here i am. First issue- it seems I'm twisting somehow. When i complete the 25 double crochets around the foundation i can see it's twisted when i go to do the fpdc sts. Not sure how I'm doing this. Or even if I'm doing it and it just looks that way? Lol.
This is on my to try list. I need to quit trying new things and start working on some Christmas stocking stuffers:) I get side tracked with projects lol.
I know the feeling!
I have GOT to mae this. Soooo simple!!!
Thanks for the tutorial. They both turned out great and I am a beginner at crochet.
Donna Gonzales-Vera you should try rag rugs they are do easy.
Aloha.. thanks for this very precise and easy to follow tutorial. You're a good teacher. This was the fav of all the stocking stuffers this xmas! the only "complaint' I had was that it was too pretty to use! lol I use the Red Heart Scrubby Sparkle, I like the bling effect . thanks again...
How wonderful! I toss mine in the washer whenever they get a little icky. They come out pretty and new again :)
Thought these would make a great 'thank you' gift for my coworkers when I leave the job in May! I really enjoyed making these. Thanks!
I love this pattern! I have made the first one a few times now and have found that the drawstring at the end and tying off ALWAYS comes undone and I end up with a weird circular scrubbie thing. Trying it again and will be going around twice I think with the yarn at the end and then tying off really well. We will see how it goes.
Hi what is the size of the crochet hook you are using thankyou very much for the information have a nice day god bless 😊 🙏
You need to add captioning to your video deaf people life crocheting too!!
I SECOND THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!
You have such a nice voice
You can select “close caption” on your app. It is the CC icon.
I find this scrubby yarn is much easier to work with if you add a strand of cotton yarn. Makes amazing scrubbies for the kitchen.
Great tip!
Thank u for this easy tutorial crochet scrubbys

Far easier way to deal with this yarn than any other! Great idea!
I can’t do it… my work keeps getting twisted up. I’ve torn it out three times. Help!!!
THANKYOU! hARD TIME SEEING i WOULD GET LOST IN ALL THOSE SCABLIES. I WILL NEED TO RELEARN HOW TO CROCHET
Great explanation and nice close ups! Can’t wait to try these!
Thanks so much!!
Great teacher...Thank You!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that 💙
I understand your instructions Thank you
At the top of the screen is a box with cc in it press that and you will will get written instructions on your screen.
Thanks
Loved her crocheted scrubbies
which do you prefer? I really see no need to make both they do the same thing?
I love these! Thanks for the tutorial!
I love this pattern, however, I find the scrubby yarn difficult to use, no matter the size hook!!! I got very frustrated and just put it away. I tried again and still having the same issues. I'm going to just make these in cotton yarn or something else. Thank you for this great tutorial though!!!!
I will not but it again
Thank you, I did not know how I was going to work the pink yarn I purchased.
+Cheryl Midthun perfect! My scrubby lasted for over 4 months before I finally replaced it with a new one.
Cheryl Midthun
How many yards does it take to make each of these scrubbies? Trying to figure out how many I can make per skein.
I find that crocheting into the ring, my yarn keeps twisting. Can't seem to keep it straight as l work around the ring. Suggestions??
Me too! Any suggestions? I am left handed. Do you think that has anything to do with the twisting?
Love this pattern and tutorial!!! Thank you 😀
You get used to this yarn after a bit , I like to add a ring to mine for hang drying.
I agree with you on both points, make a ring, and you do get used to working with the yarn
I can't quite figure out why, but my ring ends up looking much smaller than yours when I do it, so 25 DCs barely fit around it. Any suggestions?
Scrubby yarn can be difficult to use. My suggestion is not to make your stitches so tight that you can't see them. The tutorial is correct if you make a mistake it doesn't matter because the fuzziness hides it. I'll be using this material to make Christmas gifts sets of washcloths, facial scrubs, bath puffs, and soap scrubbies.
I enjoyed the tutorial, I ordered the pdf and never received it? How do I contact you?
Thanks!
I want to try this pattern it looks so easy!
Can you use these to clean your tub/bathroom?
What size hook are you using?
Thanks for sharing
