I always have fond memories of the Kirkby Woolies, my dad bless him use to take me there on a Saturday morning when i was a nipper so I could spend my 2 bob pocket money, loved everything about Woolies and at Christmas time was like a wonderland, I speak as a pensioner now.
On the off chance you may see this. Do you have any images of Eccles Lane (was off Roscommon Street), although I believe it disappeared before 1960?. My late father was born and lived there in the early-late 1940's. Your help would be much appreciated.
