Just to add, a relay is a electronic switch (does not smooth voltage actually they can cause about a .7v drop and a possible spike at shut off sometimes you’ll see a diode across the coil of the relay to kill the shock)...what it’s meant to do in a circuit like this is make it so the switch on the dash doesn’t have the high current run thru it, the relay does the work takes high power from fuse and low power from switch and give high power to fan when switch tells it to :) and I agree as far as I know it’s a standard spdt 12v 30/40a relay. Spdt stands for single pull double throw
