I get what magazines do…finding pretty girls to model whatever they want to sell - but man do the young girls (and guys) buy into thinking they must duplicate it. So tough. I see models today who are curvier and in lots of skin colors - and this makes me happy! Finally!

I've had a tough week due to some health issues. After a week of severe eye pain/light sensitivity I finally today was given proper meds and diagnosis- I have Uveitis. It's NO Fun. Pretend you're speaking to whatever group or person, role play your conversation, and just be YOU and KNOW that it's good enough! Don't try to be something or someone you aren't. Be authentic. I am so sorry to hear about the awful person who messed with your perception of your lips. The same thing happened to me with my nose and overall face and I am now a young adult still trying to get over it. I was surprised to see you be so vulnerable and honest about something that happens to so many of us.
