These are such excellent tips, Jeannie! One thing I might add--similar to your suggestion about getting consent for sharing friends' photos due to image preference is also safety preference and that's something that extends towards sharing on socials in general not just the pictures but in stories, comments, etc. My aunt for example, never lets anyone online know when she'll be leaving for vacation or extended work trips in advance because there are people who unfortunately will take advantage and break-ins do occur while people are away. So for everyone's safety, everyone in the traveling group should have a discussion about whether or not they are going to share about their trip before and during it because if some do and then they show photos/text of other group members on their profiles who haven't been sharing about their travels, it only takes a little bit of connecting the dots for those people to be compromised. I know people who've had that happen to them and it's very sad to say the least to come home and not know who did this but also having a good idea as to how.

Hi Jeannie, Italy is my favourite holiday destination! Tuscany is beautiful: I hope it’s not too crowded while you’re there. 2 tips - look to see if there are any festivals (they’re usually related to a Saint or local history). This was such a fun topic! You've clearly been around the block many a time with this, so it's great to learn from. I've only traveled once with my three best friends (to Disney World, so not exactly international, but still a trip) and - even as the mom friend who planned every detail months in advance - there were still things I learned in the midst of it. The biggest takeaway? Have a backup plan if y'all get sick. Not emergency-level sick, but even colds, food poisoning, etc. can throw a wrench in your plans. All four of us caught something while we were there and we were NOT prepared to be cooped up together in a room while we felt like death incarnate 😂 even just having medicine or knowing where to easily get some can be a lifesaver.
Oh no! Sick on your one and only trip? That’s just wrong! You need a do-over! You must make a plan to do something so you can create a new (positive) travel memory! 😊🤣

Your trips sound wonderful. I haven’t been to Germany or Switzerland in 50 years. I was only 19. I loved Zermatt! I’ve been to Italy three times as my grandparents were from near Lucca and Genoa (Liguria). Liguria is in Northern Italy, but Tuscany is in Central, not Southern, Italy. Hi Jeannie, It´s so crazy that you have friends in Ulm. I live in a little village near Ulm and I love the old town called Fischerviertel. I love the look of this section of the City.
I highly recommend travel insurance. Especially buying tickets so far in advance. We have pretty all inclusive health insurance, and even our credit cards have extra insurance, so we do not need to buy more health insurance , but I would of it weren’t sufficient. Great question!
I am from Lucca's area, I have to admit I'm quite weirded out that somebody that lives outside of Italy knows about my city's existence. Anyway, enjoy your staying, it's a very nice place for a vacation

I've never been to Ulm, Germany, but I'd very much like to. I have a recording of the cathedral's magnificent grand orgel (I'm a Classical music lover; choral, organ, symphonic, etc.) which I purchased way back in 2006 after being mesmerized by the building's long acoustic. Anyway, Ulm looks like a great place (as does a lot of Germany...) and I hope I get the chance to visit (along with other parts of my beautiful continent...) at some stage in the near future. Anyhow, great video! Thank you Jeannie!

Oh, Katy. I’m so very sorry for all that you are going through. I wish I words that could help heal you, luv. Please know I care and am sending such love your way. ❤
You seem like a person with a strong character, but calm and very wise. Would you please consider creating a video with some life lessons, sort of wisdom from an older generation? I wish I had a person with similar vibes in my family to guide me a bit when I'm lost, but sadly there is none lol
I wish I had all the answers, dear friend. Most of the things I’ve learned were due to making mistakes! I’d say my biggest piece of advice is to believe in yourself, be authentic and live your truth, and don’t worry about what others think of you. Keep toxic people away from you as much as possible and don’t take on their issues. You do YOU and follow your heart! ♥️💜♥️
I believe I would be a HORRIBLE travel companion. When I don't have to get up early for work, I like to sleep in, and don't like being told I have to get up by a certain time. I prefer playing it by ear over making plans and I snore like a freight train! lol

I love Rick Steves books as well! If you're not going to use an international data plan on your phone, I found it really helpful to buy the Kindle version of his books. You don't need a Kindle, just the Kindle app and you're able to search keywords in the books without any data or wifi. I've used this method every time I've gone to Europe and it's so helpful! Not to mention, it lightens the load for what you have to carry with you. Enjoy your trip! My husband and I absolutely loved Florence.

Lovely video Nana, I hope you enjoy your trip to Europe, hopefully you will pay us a visit in the UK when you have time😁
That is on my list! I have many people and places to see in the UK!❤❤
Hi Jeannie, It´s so crazy that you have friends in Ulm. I live in a little village near Ulm and I love the old town called Fischerviertel. I love the look of this section of the City.
We actually have an air bnb in the Fischerviertel, right around the corner from our friends! 😀
Ciao bella! Amo i tuoi video. Buona fortuna imparando l'italiano!
Grazie!!! 🇮🇹 ❤😊
@@JeannieBASMR Prego!! ❤️🤗
What do you think about things like travel insurance or even health insurance for when you're traveling?
I highly recommend travel insurance. Especially buying tickets so far in advance. We have pretty all inclusive health insurance, and even our credit cards have extra insurance, so we do not need to buy more health insurance , but I would of it weren’t sufficient. Great question!
I love this channel, thank you 😘
Thank you so much! ♥️
Love your videos ❤️😴 Have you ever been to Spain ? Any city you recommend for a week trip ?
I have not, but my husband has. Definitely need to visit there! 🇪🇸
I am from Lucca's area, I have to admit I'm quite weirded out that somebody that lives outside of Italy knows about my city's existence.
Anyway, enjoy your staying, it's a very nice place for a vacation
Lucca is the best!!!
We can’t wait! (Don’t be too weirded out! Lol!) 🤣
@@JeannieBASMR Again, enjoy your vacation here, I'm sure you're gonna love it 😄
I'll try not be too surprised next time I hear my city's name somewhere on the internet. I was properly chuffed though 😂
Hey Jeannie ( same name as my mum) Your tips are excellent and as usual your voice is so soothing 💕 Really looking forward to your kids reaction video let's hurry up and get to 100k!!
Thanks for sharing this with me, David. If you plan it, you can do it! 🥰
You‘re coming to Bodensee? Germany??
I am so happy🥳🥳🥳❤️❤️❤️🤧🤧🫶🫶🫶
As a german, always watching your videos and feeling comforted by them:
I dearly wish you and every other family member that might come along just a wonderful wonderful time😭😭🫶🫶❤️❤️❤️ you very much deserve it!!!
Also today my tummy suddenly started to feel weird and to hurt. I couldn’t sleep last night… but now I drinking a hot milk with honey in it and a hot-water bottle on my belly… just watching this, it already made me calmer, feel safer and accept the pain more.
Lots of love Jeannie🫶🫶🫶🫶💖💖
Yes! This spring! Thank you so much for your kindness!
I love this lady's videos
Thank you so much! ♥️
This is so random but i was doing my vocabulary words for my english class while watching this video and you actually ended up using one of the words on my list. (the word was garnered). i don’t know it was a random thought i should post
How interesting!! 🥰♥️
Maria gentle whispering does a beautiful video with a tour of Florence included in it if you haven’t watched it yet that would be good to watch! Xx
It’s called amour Italy I think
It sounds so amazing! I wish you so much fun and a lot of beautiful memories 😊 you‘re not planning on going to northern germany?!
Not this trip. We typically stay in the south and central. :)
Jeanie, I live in the north if Italy (near Milan) and would love you give you some tips on things to see/places to go/local foods you HAVE to try etc. if you'll be in that area! I've never heard of the place you mentioned (Luga), maybe you meant Lugano Switzerland? If so, that's close to me so I've got LOTS of tips from a local!
The town we are staying in is Lucca, west and a little north of Florence. The. We will head to Switzerland. 🥰
Hello, my name is Katy from Saltburn by the sea,the North East of England, very close to Whitby. I have had a really bad few years, losing my dad suddenly, and then the love of my life who committed suicide. I have felt so anxious but listening to you makes me feel better. Thank you 💟
Oh, Katy. I’m so very sorry for all that you are going through. I wish I words that could help heal you, luv. Please know I care and am sending such love your way. ❤
So Gladdened Katy You Have Found Some Solace In Jeannie B♥️❤️
Italy! So close to Croatia... :) I hope that Croatia will be your next destination. :)
We miss Croatia so much! I’m wanting to get back there…but have to space out or travel for right now. Maybe next year. 🇭🇷 ♥️
Hi Jeannie could we get your meatloaf recipe please?? 😊
You’re lovely Jeannie. Like a cross between Jane Fonda and Princess Di. I love your videos. 😊
Luv your videos ❤️
💖💖 Buonanotte!! Goodnight 🥹🤗💖
I'm Italian 🙂, from Taranto (Puglia). Don't hesitate to ask 😘😘😘
Good night, my friend!! ♥️
❤️
If you happen to come to Modena let me know ❤ it’s a beautiful city not far from Firenze, the city of the Vinegard, Ferrari and Pavarotti 😍
Oh! Great to know!! ❤ Thank you!
Jeannie have you ever been to Ireland
Not yet!! But I need to - visit my kin! ☘️
My name is Ireland
@@irelando3814 I bet you’re a ginger
Maybe you’ve made a video about it already…. What about your previous work history or get to know you video? Definitely see you as a professor 😊
I think the 20 Questions video had lots of info about me. 🥰
Spero che ti diverti in Italia! ❤️
Grazie! 😊❤
I love your videos ❤❤❤
Thank you, Gianna! ♥️
@@JeannieBASMR thank you so much for this beautiful piece of advice, Jeannie ❤️Happy coming New Year ❤️
@@Anna_Vorobushek 🥰♥️♥️♥️🎆
Goodnight 😊
Night night! 🛌
I know this may be superficial, but you are so beautiful! 🥰
I believe I would be a HORRIBLE travel companion. When I don't have to get up early for work, I like to sleep in, and don't like being told I have to get up by a certain time. I prefer playing it by ear over making plans and I snore like a freight train! lol
Haha! I love this! And you know what? Knowing this about yourself is important!!
Pietrasanta is gorgeous.
Thank you so much! 🥰💕
How’s your cold going how’s your son going guess what I am still in pain
My cold is gone! Yay! Our son is still suffering and he’s recovering from Covid, so very weak.
Hoping you heal soon, luv!

Italian is tricky if you already know Spanish, lots of "faux ami" and particles non existent in Spanish nowadays. I speak both.
Hi darling! Saturday night, listening whilst ironing my work uniform (gotta work tomorrow boo hoo) sending love mom xxxxx also if you get a chance come see me in the uk!!!! You’re so welcome to come stay here and see burton on Trent culture! We make beer! Haha :)
Trying to entice me with beer? Sounds delightful! Lol!
P.S. Can I send some ironing your way???
Lucca and Florence aren't Southern Italy 😀
Definitely not! Just further south than I’ve been. 🥰
I hope you can learn some Arabic so you can spend the winter in Egypt.. it's a little hard language but you just need the basics..
I studied English language in college and worked as a English instructor so I can tell English is way more easier than Arabic 😁😁
I’d LOVE to visit Egypt! 🇪🇬 Talk about a rich history! Definitely someday!
I'm sure will have so much fun .. I live about 400 kilometers away from all the history cities Loxr and Aswan I visited 3 times with my church group it was amazing time 😍
😍
What are your favourite places to go in England? 💕
I’ve only been to London, I have lots to see still! 🇬🇧
❤️
I love Rick Steves books as well! If you're not going to use an international data plan on your phone, I found it really helpful to buy the Kindle version of his books. You don't need a Kindle, just the Kindle app and you're able to search keywords in the books without any data or wifi. I've used this method every time I've gone to Europe and it's so helpful! Not to mention, it lightens the load for what you have to carry with you. Enjoy your trip! My husband and I absolutely loved Florence.
Florence is one of my hubby’s favorite places as well! Thanks for the kindle tip!
Super random but could we get a momma read to you tuck you in ASMR video?
❤️
