Im confused on the inbuilt corset. Is the inbuilt corset only attached to the lining and not the main fabric as well? If you lace it up wouldn’t the lining only be pulled and not both lining and main fabric simultaneously? Please could you help me clarify? Thankyou so much and amazing tutorials btw 😊
Once the dress is on the body you can pull the lace on the inner corset that is on the lining. The measurements on the lining will the correct measurements of the body so the top and waist of the lining will sit good on the body
Hello thank you so much for this video but I have a question Generally, the inbuilt corset is sewn for a strapless dress. Is it possible to sew an inbuilt corset for full-sleeved garment as well ?
Yes the same which is 1/2 inch the only one that is different is when u sew the lining seam allowance and the zipper seam allowance to join them which is 1/4 because when you bring the zipper up and down u don’t want it to get stuck going up and down ❤️
You will have to take some inches of the zipper part because if u pulling the lacing cords a lot it will make your waste small so if u have the main fabric in the back your regular measurement when u close the zipper u will probably have a little gap. So u will probably have to take off a little from the sides of the back.
One more question...I am assuming the point of this is to keep the zipper from straining...so that means there is not really any room for an inch or two of give if the gown is form fitted, so it is really just for keeping a nice snatched shape, yes? And it is not too bulky right? Thank you for your patience!

This is great! Is this preferable to doing a couple elastic back stays? ( do you have any tutorials on that?) Does it add a lot of bulk?

Did you use same allowance to join both the linen and the main fabric since they are joined separately.

Great job pls do I need to snatch my waist on d main fabric will it affect d zipper.
