@Scimonetti According to the Powell Flute newsletter "Colonel Coleman is the first musician to bring a wind instrument on to the Space Station - other astronauts have taken guitars and keyboards." Not sure about other space programs...
@marialanger Yes. It's a radical solution (pardon the pun, Latin students, (hint: radix)), but it certainly works. BTW the flute is a Powell Conservatory that Cady bought on the recommendation of Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull fame.
@Scimonetti There have been penny whistles and harmonicas in space before, and at least one Russian crewman has brought a guitar. It will be a while before anyone brings a piano up to orbit!
Good job! Powell Flutes rock! So it this officially the first musical instrument in space??? Nobody else thought to bring a harmonica or something with them up there with them?

One of the other vids says the use GMT as their time, maybe they have one for GMT and one for wherever their family might be?

@blueminies One for Russian mission control, one for US mission control. Those two time zones are useful to follow, and are also about 8 hours apart.

When are you coming back to earth? We should jam. Meet you in the stairwells at Florida State?
