It'd usually one of two outcomes.
A) Kazuya doing the same lightning combo touch of death. Or 100% damage. Followed by same lame confirm.
B) Someone running away from Kazuya the full match.
Both aren't entertaining to me.
@@lostxnxyou I just can't agree with you on that. It was action-packed brawl from beginning to end, with plenty of crazy kills on both sides. Idk how we both watched the same games but got such a different impression of what happened in them.
Upon further reflection, I suspect you didn't actually watch the matches, because Skyjay was not running from Kazuya lol. I really recommend you actually watch the set because it was amazing to watch those two take turns obliterating each other. Really entertaining.

I feel Tea could’ve caught on and punished the spotdodges by delaying his EWGF OoS. Riddles got a kill pretty much every time that specific interaction happened.
Tea won neutral more times, but messed up his combos more.

I think there is no way that Riddles dares to go Terry against Pacman. He'd go Kazuya. Tea knows this, and he preferred trying his best in this volatile ditto than playing a long and scary game against Kazuya with pacman.

It’s crazy to think about how Tea didn’t use Kazuya up until now and still destroyed riddles the first 2 games. His Kazuya was barely warm and still put up a strong fight. If he played Kaz a little more the tourney he would’ve won this set for sure

Tea is more consistent with his combos, but Riddles is fundamentally a better player. If he was as consistent as Tea, he'd easily contest for the best player in the world

Ah, Tekken but with platforms, great time.
There is almost no neutral in the entire set. Only once at the beginning of each stock, then the entire set is 0 to death and sometimes counter attacks after like a spot dodge. Neutral happened but it's very rare.
Kazuya isn't supposed to have a neutral, he's compensated with his punishment. He's like this in Tekken as well: very little neutral but straight up disgusting punishment.

You also have to be extremely sharp on openings and have high execution
@@dripfoe_3307true to some of that but a difference I have noticed is he can't be pressured as easy as in tekken since he can phase through attacks. In tekken, he doesn't have many attacks to get out of pressure
@@muby102 So I think the phasing through attacks in smash is supposed to represent Tekken 7 crushing system. It's not coincidental that all of Kazuya's intangible moves are crushing moves in Tekken 7. Crouch dash crushes highs, tombstone crusher crushes lows, I think Ewgf has some high crushing properties, hell sweep crushes highs, roundhouse to spin kicks crushes low then high. You get the point. So yeah, all of his phasing through attacks in smash are meant to emulate Tekken 7 crush system. I don't think alot of ppl know that. Kazuya can be pressured in Tekken 7, but it has to be calculated if not you get hard punished into a 50/50 vortex off the ground.

The character is degenerate at lower level but not at high lvl. You can't drop combos/approach recklessly with Kaz at high level, you get blown up for it. Ppl hyper focus on Kazuya's W's but never his losses, watch when Riddles loses and you can see it's due to him dropping combos, holding foward and getting decimated in disadvantage.

I’m a riddles fan but I think tea let him win
I'm a Tea fan and I disagree. Riddles has worked on his combo game a lot, while Tea hasn't improved much and drops them more often. He used to beat him in the ditto and beat players who beat Riddles because he's a more experienced player in general, but I think Riddles has compensated for that advantage with all the time he spent on improving Kazuya.
