There's such a massive amount of people missing. They can't confirm anything yet. And so many stories are so heartbreaking. An engaged couple swept out in a landslide. Search crews found the man, he's hospitalized and had to be pulled out via a massive crew to get him across the water safely. While he's trying to recover in the hospital, hundreds are still searching for his fiance.
So many stories with horrific tragedies that aren't confirmed yet. They want to hold out hope to find them, understandably.
