      @@TheFishCorner African arowana are actually a closer relative of the arapaima than arowana. They are still awesome though, I would love to have one. I have a 12" leichardti in my 180g community tank and he is pretty awesome. Super chill compared to the jardini's temperament.

  • @andyaquatics
    @andyaquatics Год назад +2

    Need to get yourself a Leichardti aro. Jardini is the northern version in Australia and the Leichardti is the southern. Jardini has gold speckling and the Leichardti has red speckling. Unfortunately not many come in the US each year and they typically run 400-600. Mine was 500 for a 3” fish, but they are definitely the nicest legal aro in the US

    Have you had any issues with that pool leaking?

    • @TheFishCorner

      I had two 800W heaters on my 800g pond. Then one burned out and it’s still is enough to keep the pond warm in the summer. It’s much easier to heat the room instead of the pond in most cases.

    Idk why they don’t let us buy the Asian arowana with the paperwork, it seems like they’re breeding a shit tone and as long as they come from a breeder that’s approved by CITES I don’t see a problem with it especially when they can track the fish all they way back to the breeder and buyer
