If Total Carnage was part of the Mortal Kombat world, this would also mean that General Akhboob (who's been voiced by Ed Boom) is sitting in The NetherRealm, waiting to be tormented.
One of the most underrated arcade games of all time. The campaign lasts over an hour, which is unheard of for an arcade game, and not a single second of it is boring. A lot of love went into this one.
Not underrated at all. It was popular enough to have a SNES port. Maybe for posers. Real gamers know that even Street Fighter II TWW in arcades could last nearly an hour in 1 continue.
Hurrgh, okay. Hats off to you Shadowserg, for completing this game. Honestly though, I'm kind of shocked in several ways. Just two bosses? And you literally have to slowly tear them into bloody gibblets, way beyond the point where they are technically dead. And a torture minigame at the end??? Fffuuuccckk, sick minds at Midway back then.
You forgot that bullet hells have a small hitbox for the characters. Also Touhou is more about getting a rhythm and a pace. You should check Cave's bullet hells, especially their TLBs.
Leondrius it's the spiritual successor, though it added scrolling levels as opposed to the locked down arenas of Smash TV. Total Carnage is fun, but it doesn't quite capture the magic of Smash TV to me.
Edit: 13:25 It looks like you step on that landmine a few times and don't die.. don't know if it's wonky hitbox or if you got super lucky or if you actually have God mode on.. Seems like there's a couple instances where those mini missiles on the final boss fight go through the character a few times. I always wondered as a kid if the bosses were beatable in this game without dying once. Now I know. I wish this game had more epic boss battles. Man, you got REALLY close to getting hit by Orcus a couple of times, nice fights! I still love how stupid bloody and gorey this game is. I miss the ridiculous blood and gore in games from the 90's, that spawned games like Mortal Kombat, etc. Games like Revolution X and Total Carnage and MK shaped me as a kid, lol. My one big gripe with this game is how short the weapon power ups last. You not getting hit by the final boss is impressive, this game was basically designed to suck up your quarters in the Arcade. I could never even make it to the final boss in Arcades because of how hard the game was. I've always wondered is the final boss actually speaking a language or is it just gibberish? Most arcade games back then you could never understand what was being said because of how loud those places were.
Gosh, Orcus would feel light-headed and would eventually die of mass blood-loss after getting shot that many times but nope, he still kept going at it until you finally blew him to bits.
Hello Shadowserg! Long time i am not seeing your videos. What a perfection to play this super mad show without dying/hit! Also i want to suggest you to play Smash TV/Super Smash TV on nes/snes - it's the same game but are its sequel. Harder or not i don't know - but trust me it gonna be fun to play it.
Even for its time, this game is ruthless. Every limb and piece of each boss has enough health to be its own mini-boss at the very least, and you have to tear them from the boss bit by bit. I can’t imagine how long it must have taken you to do this.
On The Final Boss Giant Robotic Heads Appearings: Phase 1.- General Akhboob's Head Phase 2.- Hitler's Head Last Phase.- Red Demon's Head Cons on Super Nintendo Version: -The Demon's Head is Changed to Green Color. -In Super Nintendo Version Does Not Appear The Hitler's Head.
Lain Hikaru Yep, I don’t think the flying vehicle boss was even taking damage until the level finally scrolls to the top. This game was designed to eat your quarters and it did, to the point where players gave up because it was so ridiculous. It was still pretty fun though...:))
Just under five minutes to kill the first boss. And even longer to kill the second. Yeesh. Plus, regarding Ahkboob, AVGN said it best: “How many forms does this asshole have?!”
Now that Saddam Hussein is long gone (December 2006) Midway could have reshaped the sprite and design of General Akhboob as the former dictator of Iraq. That would be cool, as an uncensored version of Saddam Hussein as the villain of this game!😁
It's weird this game didn't even get an Xbox Live port or modern port or anything. It was put on Midway Arcade discs but it's never had a Steam release.
Sorry to be blunt but in a game such as this you cannot understand if you are hit or not i cannot tell the difference if he escaped all those hits.Especially in bosses such those that are quick and also throw at you everything they got with a health bigger than a diablo 3 boss in torment IV! I can't even tell who overdid it here, the bossfights or the dude saying in the title of this video no damage.
T@wesomE Maybe a better description would be no deaths. As this is a 1 hit kill game, there is no damage to take. You can pick up a shield that will make you invincible for a few seconds. Otherwise you get hit... you die.
Boss list:
00:10 Boss 01 Orcus
04:59 Final Boss - General Akhboob
Shadowserg
Just 2 Bosses!??
believe me...these only 2....where the most hard of all bosses on the entire world..you need like 50 or 60 coins to finish this game x.x
If Total Carnage was part of the Mortal Kombat world, this would also mean that General Akhboob (who's been voiced by Ed Boom) is sitting in The NetherRealm, waiting to be tormented.
I guess if a game is this hard, two bosses is all you really need.
Hitler
One of the most underrated arcade games of all time. The campaign lasts over an hour, which is unheard of for an arcade game, and not a single second of it is boring. A lot of love went into this one.
There is a reason arcade games don't need to last an hour, and these 2 bosses are genuiney proof of that
Not underrated at all. It was popular enough to have a SNES port. Maybe for posers.
Real gamers know that even Street Fighter II TWW in arcades could last nearly an hour in 1 continue.
How many hitpoints should the boss get?
Midway: Yes
OVER NINE THOUSAND!!!
"Okay, how many final forms should the final boss get?"
"All of them."
And yet, your candy-ass of a supermuscloid is meatsauce in a single poke.
@@AnonPer And Throw in a giant Robo-Hitler head in because why the fcuk not?
"...You ever heard of this thing called 'integer underflow'?"

i think the bad guy was more shocked than you to be honest
Well, what did you expect from the creators of Mortal Kombat?
It was 90's as shit. That's for sure.
Two words describe these bosses: Bullet. Sponge.
Purely designed to get quarters from kids
DEVS BACK THEN: There's no way the player will survive. We have so many projectiles on screen
PLAYERS NOW: _Laughs in Touhou_
Touhou fans really do believe in their imaginary world of "my game is harder"
You forgot that bullet hells have a small hitbox for the characters.
Also Touhou is more about getting a rhythm and a pace.
You should check Cave's bullet hells, especially their TLBs.
touhou fans knowing nothing about neither their games or others.
*laughs in Progear*
And all this time, General Akhboob was actually a charred skeleton in disguise! Diabolical!
I can practically smell the 90s now.
Wow midway just like Mortal Kombat. Way too many limbs when things explode, millions of pain sounds, and even a fatality at the very end.
This was before Mortal kombat
I find it hillarious that the final boss just says "But this isn't even my final form!" 7 times in a row.
Lol, first boss takes like 5 minutes of continuous shooting and then Mega Stalin-Hitler Cyborg goes "hold my beer"
12:09 This game just got banned in Germany.
always loved this game. The mutants and awesome weapons really drew me in back in the day.
This game is awesome, brings back memories
13:11 Red Skull impersonator.
"Total carnage! I love it!" Is this Smash T.V. 2 or something?
Leondrius it's the spiritual successor, though it added scrolling levels as opposed to the locked down arenas of Smash TV. Total Carnage is fun, but it doesn't quite capture the magic of Smash TV to me.
The whole game could be just one giant boss with multiple forms
Talk about damage sponges, even the music got tired of the first boss and dipped outta there.
Edit: 13:25 It looks like you step on that landmine a few times and don't die.. don't know if it's wonky hitbox or if you got super lucky or if you actually have God mode on.. The Arab I don't know, but the German words are real... Most of them make no sense though.
@@pantheman2842 If The Great Dictator was made into a game.
Haven't heard of this game, but why does it look so similar to smash TV?
_(The player view, the bullet spam, the few gigantic wtf bosses)_
Koopa TroopaOne Same designer as Smash TV (and Robotron 2084) Eugene Jarvis. Smash TV is even name-dropped in the game.
Koopa TroopaOne or idk Contra!?
Same creators i am guessing!
T@wesomE just looked up smash TV I NEVER heard of that game
I know it from the consoles though originated from arcade cabinets,i have it on the midway collection for ps3!
That fucking green tongue boss was the stuff of nightmares for me as a kid
This whole game was nightmare fuel for me 😭 I ran out of my house crying once bc my brother and dad were playing it on a big TV
First played this game at like 5, and Orcus scarred me so bad I remember him to this day, even though I havent seen him again until now lol
Yeah, it's crazy how a jumping head is following you with 2 machineguns screaming cause you're shooting him 😂,same thing
Insane game play. A masterful feat
Gosh, Orcus would feel light-headed and would eventually die of mass blood-loss after getting shot that many times but nope, he still kept going at it until you finally blew him to bits.
Well since you did this one, you could always do Smash TV (Arcade) as that one has a lot more bosses. Regardless, stellar job as always!
One of the longest boss fight ever...
That's how the original arcade made its $ back then
Yep...most all arcade games quarter gobbler's...that's the point though!!!
When bullet hell games die, they get sent to Total Carnage.
This game was awesome back in the day
That curly sound effect lol
yeeeeees jajajajajajaja
You mean at 7:03? That deserves a NYUK-NYUK.
Great quotes by General Akhboob: You suck at this game and I'll buy you for dollar you will fry.😂😂😂
Awesome job on some absolutely brutal bosses!
Though the game is fun, I don't like how the two bosses require SO many hits in specific areas just to damage them.
Dang orcus probably gets the "I still have one HP!" Achievement
This and Binding of Isaac are my favorite games.
This game looks like one of those games from old 80s movies in the background
Hello Shadowserg! Long time i am not seeing your videos. What a perfection to play this super mad show without dying/hit!

This game pretty much amounts too: "What the fuck is happening on my screen?"
*pauses at 11:58 *
Eeyup! Already, u know dis game is banned in Germany!
The way the bosses would fall apart with all those damn explosions used to scare tf out of me 😂
Even for its time, this game is ruthless. Every limb and piece of each boss has enough health to be its own mini-boss at the very least, and you have to tear them from the boss bit by bit. I can’t imagine how long it must have taken you to do this.
I used to play this game all day at the Arcade
Let… there… be… *CARNAGE!*
So much stuff going on the screen i'm awed you were able to shield/dodge the hits.
On The Final Boss Giant Robotic Heads Appearings:
Phase 1.- General Akhboob's Head
Phase 2.- Hitler's Head
Last Phase.- Red Demon's Head
Cons on Super Nintendo Version:
-The Demon's Head is Changed to Green Color.
-In Super Nintendo Version Does Not Appear The Hitler's Head.
Great Work, this SMASH TV esque game looks so awesome. Would you be interested in doing a SMASH TV Challenge?
Yes, I'll do this game too.
Surprised Lloyd Kaufman never got a shoutout by Midway for inspiring the bosses in NARC, Smash TV, and Total Carnage.
Must be playing this on the Midway Arcade Collection Volume 2, because the goddamn music stops! 😤
General Akhoob's eyeballs should have popped out his head hitting the screen right before his head exploded instead of charring.
What console was this on? Me and my twin are trying to remember 😂
There was an SNES version made by Acclaim.
Did Midway also make Smash TV?
Why are you so into the *Carnage*
Awesome!!! Thanks 4 sharing!!!
What happened to the music in the first boss?
03:41 Slow motion missile, bro.
Me and my mate struggled on two player with this game.
Being a huge bullet hell fan I love this game, howhever I think some of those guys have way too much hp :p
Lain Hikaru Yep, I don’t think the flying vehicle boss was even taking damage until the level finally scrolls to the top. This game was designed to eat your quarters and it did, to the point where players gave up because it was so ridiculous. It was still pretty fun though...:))
This game looks brutal
TOTAL CARNAGE!!!
That Ending though
Best part.
SCHNELL!! ☠️
Did snes version and arcade version have different ending?
General Akhboob was using a scientist from Nukem High to make those Subhumanoids, wasn't he?
Wich one is Harder? Total Carnage or Smash TV?
Truly An Amazing Play
10/10 good video :) 👍
So this was basically Smash TV TurboChampion edition
16:08 Gen. Akhboob on an electric chair after being captured!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Score the world! Score the world! Score the world!
Wait wasn't the Gameshow host a boss too?
Thats a different game, that would be Smash TV you are thinking of, same announcer i believe though
Same gameplay though right? Is it a sequel to Total Carnage or like a home port?
Pretty much the same style of gameplay
More like a sequel (just not a true one) after Smash TV had its run
There's something unsettling about Orcus.
13:03 = Final Boss Says: iss-iss-iss-iss-Iss-ISs-ISS-ISSS. ILRR... [ *He Transforms on Demon* ] and Next *Yells: AaaaaarrrrrGggghhh!!!!*
I saw this years ago at the arcade!
Let's just say day turned into night and I was out 30$ in quarters 😆😆😆
Imagine if they made a movie of this game.😮
Why is it that orcus sounded like the shotgun guys from doom
Loved this game
The boss fights in Smash TV were fair compared to these. Damn you for raiding my quarter supply, Galaxy Arcade...
that electric chair ending...
What a surreal game.
Just under five minutes to kill the first boss. And even longer to kill the second.
Yeesh.
Plus, regarding Ahkboob, AVGN said it best: “How many forms does this asshole have?!”
I was never able to capture the scumbag after the final boss. Midway Arcade Treasures 2 anyone?
Lmaaooo General Akhboob looks like Red Skull from Captain America 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bring the violence
It's significant
To the life
If you've ever known anyone
-Disturbed
Holy shit the memories
the bosses are so hard , i never past the first level
TO WIN LIKE THIS..YOU NEED LIKE 50 OR 60 FACKING COINS!! THIS GAME WAS SO HARD THAT I WAS THINKING U WERE SCAMMED XD
I don't know what was midway smoking when te made this game

MY EYE! ALL FIVE HUNDRED OF MY EYE!
I thought orcus was the final boss 👀
....is it just me or does orcus sound like hes saying white power
Ahh the memories
My childhood ;)
Want it to come to the switch
Chance 0.1% ;')
It's weird this game didn't even get an Xbox Live port or modern port or anything. It was put on Midway Arcade discs but it's never had a Steam release.
That’s because Warner Bros ain’t doing shit with Midway Classic Games and just milking Mortal Kombat so much with popularity for franchise from Midway
I forgot how tanky these bosses were lol
If Rambo was a mercenary.
Reminds me of a game for the Genesis
I dont get how or why a hitler expoy has a giant demon/muntant green cyborg as a henchmen.
5:37 (no damage )
Uses the invencibility after dropping a bomb
Wish we could CPS3 remix the music of this game.
I AM A PEACE LOVING CITIZEN
