I've noticed a very strange pattern where a lot of young fugue composers like to end their subject with do-ti-do-re or do-la-ti-do, or variations of this movement like do-re-do-ti. They also like to do minor scale and harmonic minor in that little tali section. This happens so often now that I can pretty much tell the quality just by seeing this pattern there. I know it sounds like a good transitioning phrase, but... lol

Very astute, fugal composition is a very deep art which takes years to master, Bach himself spent years on it and is renowned as the greatest genius of music to have ever lived- at bare minimum in counterpoint theme and polyphonic variation if not ALL of music

I could never quite get the hang of fugues. I didn't have much better luck with Tetris, but it didn't hurt my brain *as* *much* either. It just gave me night-long dreams of falling blocks. I assume something similar would have happened if I had spent as much time studying fugues as I did playing Tetris. However, I never did them at the same time either. I was long done with fugues before Tetris came along.

@@nickcarroll8565 That's not true. A lot of bach's fugues are not written for organs, not to speak of other composers who also employed the fugal form.
