nah..the trouble with this video and the Marty Schwartz videos is this: They refuse to post the chord shapes or tabs ON SCREEN for free. Beginners will really benefit from visual lessons. Other than that, this video is good.
Agreed, this sucked ass. For those who already know and use wes montgomery octave stuff (useful and a bit cliche) this video is completely useless if one just wants to know the specific chord inversions used on the original version of this song. So eat dirt for wasting pretty much everybody's time with this incredibly stupid video.
First mistake is teaching it with a capo, instead of learning it in standard I recommend going to Dave Price's channel if you're interested in learning it the right way, he's the only one I've seen so far that nails it.
@@diego2246 If they're not affected by the capo then why do you ask? Since it's a beginner lesson preview she's obviously gonna play the chords in a simpler fashion later on and she didn't bother to take the capo of just for teaching the intro.
@Annoyingtoto Really? If its a beginner lesson its quite obvious why she has the capo on? The song is in Ab? So she'll probably play a G-chord because it looks like the capo is on the first fret..? The song is way easier to play with basic chords if you have the capo on.
If you listen to the original there are actually droning octaves throughout the whole song. But yeah i don't think anyone needs a tutorial for that. At least i hope not
WTF are Fender doing here? I appreciate they have a product to sell but this snippet gives you nothing. Just nothing. It doesn’t give anything for free and doesn’t even lure you in for more.
Why should they give you something for free? Fender is a company in business to make money not just hand you free stuff because you are too lazy to get a job to pay for it.
Learn by tabs. I tried learning from youtubers and such but if you just look at tabs and listen to the song you wanna learn you’ll get it way better and easier than this crap
Swetty Spaghtti simply adjust truss rod if neck starts to bow that’s what it’s there for. But most necks should handle half a step up or down with no issues.
@@TeleCathster yeah my squier bullet strat can handle half step up/down tunings and its only 140€,i can't imagine how bad of a guitar you have to own that you would have problems tuning your guitar to something else and not always standard
z g m agreed. It would be down to setup if a guitar couldn’t handle it. The reason E standard is used mostly is because that’s what most guitars are setup to. Small variations in string gauge or tunings shouldn’t affect it much. Music would be rather boring if no one tuned up or down! Neck is solid piece of wood with a stick of metal through it, it’ll handle it!
Rubbish tutorial guys bet it too your marketing team ages to come up with that dumb idea!! Let’s put a terrible tutorial online and then try upsell our product 😂
JEN FROM MAHALO HAHAHA I LEARNED SOME OF MY FIRST SONGS FROM MAHALO BACK IN THE DAY!

This guitar is in tune and sounds good unlike the other videos.
Brilliant idea to show the neck from the POV!!!

Thanks for teaching all the para more and more :)

Ahhh there's nothing like a perfect tuned guitar and I must say, veeery clever way to use the capo on this one!
I love that guitar

I ve no word. All the package looks so pro and.. For this?? Are you serious?.. or the new Monty Python may be? I don't get it.. 🤣
Isn’t that the girl from Mahalo? She was my Go to for quick and simple guitar lessons!
Isn’t she playing fretted notes? Why the capo?
Because the song is in Ab and it's obviously a beginner lesson. Do you know how capos work?
Kristoffer sjöström I know how they work, but certainly you don’t. Fretted notes are not affected by the capo.
You are welcome.
