(Edit: great to see regular uploads again) Too soft at the start means you need less tokens and higher pressure. Tokens make the sus start soft but ramp faster. No tokens makes it linear. That’s how I understand it
When I upgraded to the charger 3 and new spring I ended up taking out tokens and running the pressure slightly higher. Seemed to make the tuning more effective and definitely improved the mid stroke.
@@leetori1 In his case, a bit of both, he says its not supportive enough at the top but doesnt specify if on the bumpy stuff or in corners. High speed compression would be if he blows through it too much on the chunky stuff and low speed if he blows through it in slow compressions like corners or big hits. Probably rather that I guess. Id add a little bit of both and if it doesnt get better, one less token and a bit higher pressure. I understood it like that as well so you cant be too wrong with it I guess hahaha
So glad my province and its incredible wilderness is utilized, preserved and shown & enjoyed for what it has to offer. Enjoy the rides and a truly magical place to live Lewis!
You can’t go wrong with Santa Cruz and Maxxis. Bike looks great and trails look sick. Reminds me on Inners but I’m sure it’s even steeper and longer. The very best of luck mate. You raised the bar at the local races and motivated me and my mates. Keep up the great work. Setup and fitness will come. ❤
I'm really warming up to the choice of red they went with. My 2018 is dual 27.5 so I'm getting the 29'er lowers for my fork... but I am so jealous of your flip chips and reach adjustment, You're gonna fly on that rig for sure
That is a very, very beautiful looking setup you have got there, lovely!! But please please give us a review of that Canyon you rode. Love your videos ❤️
4 tokens! man thats gonna be super progressive and hard towards the end of the travel. To be fair Rockshox is all I've known for 3 years and I like it.
What a Bike...I have the same Feeling with the new RockShox Boxxer!I Drive many Years Fox 40 and now I tested the Boxxer...I don't know what I think about but How we See ..
What a track What a bike What a rider I think a ghost vid would be cool like what cathro used to do Do a run change your setting so another run then show us the time difference Might be hard though as sections of that trail look like once your on a line you just have to commit and see it through lol Or as I do at the golfie hit it and hope to survive 🤣
That new damper is totally different than the old debonair. Generally speaking, I would set you sag and then increase your damping, more high speed and rebound and then mess with volume reducers after you have dialed the damper. The volume reducers really garaged the ride in the new boxxer so just do them at the end.
I watched a video on the boxxer recently and one of the head techs said that they had to try get the top boys off running 4-5 tokens and down to 1-2. I reckon 1 token would be a nice spot
From factory you have zero tokens in the 200mm ultimate, you can go up to 6. I'm not jealous, it's not like if I read the service manual a thousand time and have this fork in all my carts of my favorite shops 😂
I would like an advice from you, if you don't mind. You do not need to elaborerte but what would you recommend between Trans Madeira or a week in Squamish.
IMHO, definitely an error to slap extra tokens in before you've even ridden it. I'd say go back to the stock token config, reset the sag, put both comp adj to the centre position and then start fine tuning.
The bike looks like it just eats up the ground like your riding a flat surface looks effortless I normally put more p.s.i. in than your supposed to seems to make it a little stiffer works for me
That is just too much loam for one video 😯 So what sponsor changes have you got this year versus what kit are you selecting to buy with your own dollars? Just would be interesting to hear what you are running as a Privateer effectively being paid by OF - versus what actual dollar contracts you have from brands (versus just getting free kit, affiliate deals etc).
You keep teasing like you are going to get some New, Mind Blowing, Technologicaly Advanced mountain bikes i.e. Structure Cycleworks SCW-1 or how about an UnnovEver or Antidote Dark Matter for Downhill but you just Keep on getting it the same ol' bikes that any schmo at the bike park gets. ☹️
Moving to Squamish was the best move you could have made for yourself and the channel well done 👏🏻
Thanks
@@LewisBuchananps it’s proper cold and miserable here right now 😂

Sick video man. Footage looks sweet, sounds amazing and the tracks look unreal. The sound alone makes it seem that bike just eats everything up

what happened to the raaw? it had such a nice paintjob 🤤
Gave it to OF as they wanted it
oh ok! btw i love the canadian content, keep living the dream and send it hard!@@LewisBuchanan

I'd say leave the fork alone until you get more familiar with the trails. Then increase fork pressure when you start railing harder.

Very similar. Both great
