the reason why I got really hooked on this drama is because it's not like typical k dramas where the guy is perfect and all. I got hooked because no one knows whether Yoo Jung is really good or bad, and because he's the male lead, u just don't know, u kinda expect every male lead to be good, whereas this one u just don't know. And of course hong seol is not the cute everyday girl, I like that.
yeah I'm also hooked with this drama I can't remember how many times I've watched this everytym I miss this couple I just found myself starting to watch this drama from the beginning.im just so sad because in the movie of this drama only park hae Jin stayed in the old cast.,...hope their movie will be great too and will have a satisfying ending...go oppa,...saranghae.,..

Hmmn it was pointed later on in manhwa that he is a sociopath. The odd one. And that he finally admit his obsession to the girl to the point that he will secretly manipulate everyone just to protect her.
I think we can all agree that this drama did not focus on the leads. Jeong and Seol do not have that much interaction as it should be, but that is also the reason why we love every bit of their scenes together. It became too precious that we want to watch them over and over again.
Yes and i would have loved to see more interaction between the leads instead of inho and inha being psychos.. and the other classmates (not all but most) who were also classified psychos.. same with the parents so welcoming of inho when they know inha tried to kill their daughter.. that is very impossible because if that was my daughter.. inho and inaha better hide their azz.. and inho acting more like stalker coz he is always around seol..
The two leaders of this drama did not interact in the film so much because there were some problems related to the sympathy and favoritism that existed between the director and the male supporting actor Seo Kang-joon who was favored by him. In the drama, this is very clearly observed from one episode onwards. From what I read, the script of the drama was changed on the spot, the main actor Park Hae-jin, not being notified about these changes. They simply ignored him. He was so upset that at the party that was held at the end of the drama with all the staff, he was not present.
First ever drama that i never, even once rooted for the second lead. Jung and Seol is perfect for each other. They heal and complete each other. I know most people hates Jung but I think this drama somewhat did not dig deeper about Jung they focused more on the second lead. The writer took Jung for granted but I really understand where he is coming from. He was being told how to act all his life, never allowed to make mistakes or get angry, and people just want to befriend him because they want something from him. It took a toll on his personality, he does not know how to get angry because his father never allowed him to be himself..then came seol who is the same with him in most aspect but expresses her anger in another manner. Both of them struggled to be someone the society/people wants them to.

Christine Jones true! Both leads gave justice to the role. Its my first Park Hae Jin drama and I must say he is a good actor. I actually just watched this drama because of Kim Go Eun but i actually loved it. I was just disappointed because I really think they did not gave much attention to Jung's character. But is it nice that never even once that Seol's feelings got swayed by the second lead. She was and always have her heart to Jung💙

In Ho is a good friend to Seol and I do enjoy their camaraderie but just like you pointed out Seol was very clear from the beginning about whom she would choose. It upsets me to see comments where people are very forgiving and understanding towards the Baek siblings but are not willing to extend the same courtesy to Jung. They do not see anything wrong in In Ha's and In ho's betrayal that destroyed Jung's ability to trust people and form any deep human connections. I'm so glad he met Seol who could heal his wounds and help him open up.

You should also watch Man to Man. You'll definitely love him more. He was such an awesome character in that drama. Just don't care about the female lead because she just annoys me. LMAO
University life and everything in this drama is so real... I really enjoy watching it ...also I like this fact that Sol is so pretty and ordinary girl, easily can find yourself in her character...
This drama was played when I was in university. I wanted to watch it so bad but people keep on saying that the ending is too bad and hence I did not watch it. I'll get stress, sad and disappointed as well as longing feelings if I'm not satisfied with the drama. But only last week I started to watch while waiting for Kim Go Eun new drama and this drama was literally among the best drama that I've watched. The storyline, the plot, the characters (Jung and Seol), I can relate too much with them. Only if I watch when I was a student, things will get better. I truly understand Jung and Seol actions. This is not a normal drama where the main lead is all sweet and nice person. It shows the colors of mere human and how the other counterpart help and criticize him to be a bigger person. I truly loves this drama and disappointed that only Park Hae Jin was casted in the movie. Btw, I grow to likes Park Hae Jin and he is too underrated. I wish him for more success in the future.
omg. i watched cheese in the trap because same reason as yours and also kim go eun is only the reason why im watching kdrama. ive read the webtoon afterwards because im so in love with the characters. i love both the webtoon and kdrama. i was not disappointed in the ending. for me, it's still a happy ending. and after watching it, i started following Park hae jin. but i havent watched the movie yet. im afraid i will feel jealous for Kim Go eun because she was not the lead in the movie
this drama is not a typical love based drama. it's different.and tbh i love this story line soo much it's reflects different kinds of people. idk why some people didn't like the ending but for me the ending was what it makes it special the sad ending was needed. in real life not everyone you love stays but you still love them. that's what it meant.i loved this drama.. it's beautiful in it's own way.

Yoo Jung is my favorite character. It's really a pity how some people don't like him because of how complex he is so they don't understand him. Actually for me his complexity is what makes him interesting. But I guess it's not for anyone. Park Hae Jin did a splendid job portraying him. He is such a great actor. Hope to see more of him in the future. Anyway Park Hae Jin and Yoo Sung were too good for this drama. I also liked Hong Seol and it's actress Kim Go Eun. The rest was meh. I can see it in any other drama.
I've watched all dramas of KGE, but i feel this drama has greater chemistry between KGE and PHJ than KGE with her other main leads in her other dramas. though the ending made me upset, this drama still my first best drama of KGE
I really enjoy the university life in this drama cause it's almost similar to mine. Go Eun is the best actress ever with a natural beauty, and there's only her who can completely express Hong Seol's characteristics. I love Hae Jin too since he's an ideal male type to any young girls. I have never thought they are acting cause their chemistry is so reallll 😘

I love this drama! Its one of the very first drama I've seen that Park Hae Jin was in. I know a lot of people aren't happy with how it ended and not everybody likes Yoo Jung.. but I felt like I could relate so much in how Yoo Jung thinks and his behind the scenes action that he'd do for towards the person he truly cares. Although he was very cold and scary at the beginning, he's one of the most protective and pure soul when it comes to caring and protecting that person he loves and care. I really liked Yoo Jung's character.. its just a matter of time and patience in order to communicate with someone like Yoo Jung. Also, I can't help but fall in love with Baek In Ho's character! He is the definition of the ultimate boyfriend to have! I love them both, Yoo Jung and In Ho. They have taught me a lot about different personas and how your actions can have an affect on others. CITT IS ONE OF THE BEST DRAMAS IVE EVER SEEN!
Aigoo..Still watching this kdrama and this song in 2024. Good love story and make your heart is beating fast because of the drama. Honestly, when I see Hong Seol character in first episode, she's not so beautiful, but her beauty slowly but sure glowing out with storyline & character progress and in fact with her original hair, Kim Go Eun is so very beautiful.
Although majority thinks Bek In Ho is the best for Seol, I root for Jung and Seol. Jung needs Seol because of his twisted personality she is the only one capable of changing his ways and as for Seol, Yoo Jung helps her a lot if you disregard his bad side, you will realize that they suit each other. If you have read the webtoon you would understand more. They constantly grow together maturely and thats why i like the story. Not focused on lovestruck highschool couples but on college students that faces realistic problems and solves them rationally.

In the first episode I think Yoo Jung is a bad guy, but in the next episode i change my mind, he just a human who have many scar in his heart and he have a strong reason why he do a bad things to his friends. And i just “oh my God, I have a bad memories like him” so I’m in love with Yoo Jung ❤️

I've never once felt like the writer is trying to make jung the bad guy she actually humanised the character very well! full of mistakes but full of love just like how seol viewed him the writer did which actually made him one of my fav characters in kdrama
If there was at least one more episode or even just 15 min more of screen time showing them getting back together then I would have been satisfied 😭 I know they'll end up together cause they did in the webtoon but my heart is not satisfied cause I didn't see it in the drama and I didn't read the webtoon so I don't have a big attachment towards it but ughhh it's so frustrating.... The best korean series for me ever. This is the first time I've never fallen for a second lead man, just Seonbae and seol was really my bet at the beginning. In the first episode you can see how this series was so very interesting and worth to watch. You would not think that lead man has such that kind side of him despite of how he face to others. Thrillingly, as in all your expectations for the relationship it gives justice in here. But still, I can't imagine that would be the end despite the thrilling moments in their relationship. Eventhough it's has been a lot of years later, i hope this would have had season 2😭. Pleasseeeeee, but this time a happy ending nowwwww❤️
@@kashinathadvent3247 I didn't felt anything for him at all. He was just a fist bump and grumpy guy who's ready to fight at any moment given. The only time me I felt pity for him was when Jung made those guys break his hand. Seol anyway didn't treat him more than just friends.

I've seen so many Kdramas in the past 5 years, I still love to come back to see all clips from CITT. It was one of my favourite stories, Yoo Jung and Hong Seol are the types of characters I would put in my drama if I made one. She is so simple and like many other hard working students who have dreams and ambitions whereas Yoo Jung is so different other than coming from the rich family he has it all but somehow both find the interests within each other. I would have liked the ending in the different way not too cheesy but at least to give Hong Seol the chance to meet up with with Yoo Jung.

I watched Cheese in the Trap over and over again (skipping some scenes) and still cant move on with Yoo Jung and Hong Seol. And I never ship Seol to InHo. Sorry but still cant see any reason why I have ship to him to Seol. I see where Yoo Jung is coming from. He felt neglected by his father just because of someone told him that his son is weird and he actually felt that his father favoring and believing what Inho and Inha said than his. He felt betrayed by his friend when he heard him badmouthing him when he's not around and never saw either Inho nor Inho felt guilty about it. Some so-called friends are just sticking to him because they need something to him then they badmouthing him when they dont get what they want from him. That is really frustrating and I know how it feels like. I can relate with Jung that is why I understand him. And Seol loves him and understands him. Maybe Seol see whats inside him. 💙
I couldn't agree more. Just finished the show a few days ago and this couple became instantly one of my favorites, because they are so different. I could really understand Jung too. Most of the people around him were hypocrites, fake friends who they just used him and how important is that they didn't treat like that only him, but Seol too, because they were weird according to them. Amd this is why imo thry fell for each other, they were very much alike. I don't justify his actions but i understand why he acts like that.
Yes indeed, seol sees everything about jeung but still love him no matter how imperfect jeung is, on the other hand, i find inho extremely annoying, just my humble opinion.

I cried a lot at the end of ep 5.... there are lots of people with similar personalityYou can't blame him entirely. He is not completely at fault. Yoo jung does what he thinks is right, the people he wronged aren't exactly angels themselves. And he has been changing for the best...

I loved the scene where he answered to her thoughts to invite him to her apartment "I would love to, but next time" or when he answered to her thoughts if he forgot about their first kiss "I remember everything, I did not forget it" :) Oh Yoo Jung you are melting my heart.... I totally loved his character and Kim Go Eun is just a great actress... The Coin Locker Girl brought me here....

I really love Park Haejin and Yoo Jung's character. Jung is not the perfect male lead like any other k-dramas, that's what makes me more curious and liking his character more than Baek In Ho. It really hurts to see Seol sometimes takes others' sides (Inho's) than her boyfriend's, but I really hope this couple can stay together until the end of the story ♡

I find Hong Soel is the most attractive character portrayal for Kim Go Eun. No offense to Ji Euntak and Jeong Taeul lovers 😀✌️ Hong soel, even in her awkwardness, her seemingly boring life without the appearance of Jung, but above all her faith and enduring love for Jung is so appealing, and KGE was able to portray all those emotions in this drama without cringing (except when she tried to kiss Jung in the car, but still find it so hilarious yet sweet). This drama of hers officially convinced me of her acting prowess not Goblin, though I really love it, then The King solidifies her standing in the acting business. She’s a powerhouse, PERIOD 💯
Just finished the series. And im surprised this series is not your usual kdrama. But a love story that is different from what whe used to see such as love triangle or rich guy poor girl. A complicated male lead and a strong woman female lead make this series more interesting. It's a good one. One among the most.
When I first saw this drama I was new in kdrama. I know about Park Hae-jin is the main lead character. On that time I did not know other actor's name or work. I didn't know it was Kim Go-eun as Hong Seol. When I watched Goblin I love her work in that and try to know about her. Then i know that she is the main female lead of Cheese In the Trap. She looks so different on both dramas. Love her acting on both drama. She looks perfect as Hong Soel and also perfect as Ji Eun-tak. Love both dramas, watched them more then 4 times and know will not board to watch them again.

Many people are saying that the character or at least the main female character isn't same as the one in comic book. Well since i haven't read the book, and even if I did, I would still love her. She plays that character so well and I just love how she acts. She is so talented! Omg she is now my second favorite Korean actress, following Go Hyo-Jin. These two ladies are so god damn talented and charming. I know they are not the prettiest but they are so real and down to earth to me. It's okay, It's love and Cheese in the trap - the two Korean dramas that's so realistic, has unbelievable chemistry and worth watching every second of it. CHANNGGG!!!!

It's true, the end was very disappointing but it's nice to find out about the manhwa. I look forward to read it. I can't understand why this drama didn't get more press attention, it's so nice, different and refreshing. Now I'm looking up for all Park Hae Jin ssi dramas and Kim Go Eun ssi is such a good actress, I'll keep an eye on both of them.

just finished watched Cheese in a trap after pending too long in my to watch list.. i watched Goblin before i watch this drama...at first i did not realize the same actress, they look so different.... cant believe i dont like kim Go Eun in goblin but i really love her in this drama.... and for the ending, although many people complain, but i think its goes well with the story plot and Yoo Jung character... in fact he is replying Seol the email in the end, make me feel happy..... and i can still hear in my head the way Yoo Jong call 'seol a~~'

I think we can all agree that this drama did not focus on the leads. Jeong and Seol do not have that much interaction as it should be, but that is also the reason why we love every bit of their scenes together. It became too precious that we want to watch them over and over again.
Yes and i would have loved to see more interaction between the leads instead of inho and inha being psychos.. and the other classmates (not all but most) who were also classified psychos.. same with the parents so welcoming of inho when they know inha tried to kill their daughter.. that is very impossible because if that was my daughter.. inho and inaha better hide their azz.. and inho acting more like stalker coz he is always around seol..

The two leaders of this drama did not interact in the film so much because there were some problems related to the sympathy and favoritism that existed between the director and the male supporting actor Seo Kang-joon who was favored by him. In the drama, this is very clearly observed from one episode onwards. From what I read, the script of the drama was changed on the spot, the main actor Park Hae-jin, not being notified about these changes. They simply ignored him. He was so upset that at the party that was held at the end of the drama with all the staff, he was not present.

First ever drama that i never, even once rooted for the second lead. Jung and Seol is perfect for each other. They heal and complete each other. I know most people hates Jung but I think this drama somewhat did not dig deeper about Jung they focused more on the second lead. The writer took Jung for granted but I really understand where he is coming from. He was being told how to act all his life, never allowed to make mistakes or get angry, and people just want to befriend him because they want something from him. It took a toll on his personality, he does not know how to get angry because his father never allowed him to be himself..then came seol who is the same with him in most aspect but expresses her anger in another manner. Both of them struggled to be someone the society/people wants them to.

I actually just watched this drama because of Kim Go Eun but i actually loved it. I was just disappointed because I really think they did not gave much attention to Jung's character. In Ho is a good friend to Seol and I do enjoy their camaraderie but just like you pointed out Seol was very clear from the beginning about whom she would choose. It upsets me to see comments where people are very forgiving and understanding towards the Baek siblings but are not willing to extend the same courtesy to Jung. They do not see anything wrong in In Ha's and In ho's betrayal that destroyed Jung's ability to trust people and form any deep human connections. I'm so glad he met Seol who could heal his wounds and help him open up.

This drama was played when I was in university. I wanted to watch it so bad but people keep on saying that the ending is too bad and hence I did not watch it. I'll get stress, sad and disappointed as well as longing feelings if I'm not satisfied with the drama. But only last week I started to watch while waiting for Kim Go Eun new drama and this drama was literally among the best drama that I've watched. The storyline, the plot, the characters (Jung and Seol), I can relate too much with them. Only if I watch when I was a student, things will get better. I truly understand Jung and Seol actions. This is not a normal drama where the main lead is all sweet and nice person. It shows the colors of mere human and how the other counterpart help and criticize him to be a bigger person. I truly loves this drama and disappointed that only Park Hae Jin was casted in the movie. Btw, I grow to likes Park Hae Jin and he is too underrated. I wish him for more success in the future.

Yoo Jung is my favorite character. It's really a pity how some people don't like him because of how complex he is so they don't understand him. Actually for me his complexity is what makes him interesting. But I guess it's not for anyone. Park Hae Jin did a splendid job portraying him. He is such a great actor. Hope to see more of him in the future. Anyway Park Hae Jin and Yoo Sung were too good for this drama. I also liked Hong Seol and it's actress Kim Go Eun. The rest was meh. I can see it in any other drama.

I love this drama! Its one of the very first drama I've seen that Park Hae Jin was in. I know a lot of people aren't happy with how it ended and not everybody likes Yoo Jung.. but I felt like I could relate so much in how Yoo Jung thinks and his behind the scenes action that he'd do for towards the person he truly cares. Although he was very cold and scary at the beginning, he's one of the most protective and pure soul when it comes to caring and protecting that person he loves and care. I really liked Yoo Jung's character.. its just a matter of time and patience in order to communicate with someone like Yoo Jung. Also, I can't help but fall in love with Baek In Ho's character! He is the definition of the ultimate boyfriend to have! I love them both, Yoo Jung and In Ho. They have taught me a lot about different personas and how your actions can have an affect on others. CITT IS ONE OF THE BEST DRAMAS IVE EVER SEEN!

Although majority thinks Bek In Ho is the best for Seol, I root for Jung and Seol. Jung needs Seol because of his twisted personality she is the only one capable of changing his ways and as for Seol, Yoo Jung helps her a lot if you disregard his bad side, you will realize that they suit each other. If you have read the webtoon you would understand more. They constantly grow together maturely and thats why i like the story. Not focused on lovestruck highschool couples but on college students that faces realistic problems and solves them rationally.

The best korean series for me ever. This is the first time I've never fallen for a second lead man, just Seonbae and seol was really my bet at the beginning. In the first episode you can see how this series was so very interesting and worth to watch. You would not think that lead man has such that kind side of him despite of how he face to others. Thrillingly, as in all your expectations for the relationship it gives justice in here. But still, I can't imagine that would be the end despite the thrilling moments in their relationship. Eventhough it's has been a lot of years later, i hope this would have had season 2😭. Pleasseeeeee, but this time a happy ending nowwwww❤️

I've seen so many Kdramas in the past 5 years, I still love to come back to see all clips from CITT. It was one of my favourite stories, Yoo Jung and Hong Seol are the types of characters I would put in my drama if I made one. She is so simple and like many other hard working students who have dreams and ambitions whereas Yoo Jung is so different other than coming from the rich family he has it all but somehow both find the interests within each other. I would have liked the ending in the different way not too cheesy but at least to give Hong Seol the chance to meet up with with Yoo Jung.

I watched Cheese in the Trap over and over again (skipping some scenes) and still cant move on with Yoo Jung and Hong Seol. And I never ship Seol to InHo. Sorry but still cant see any reason why I have ship to him to Seol. I see where Yoo Jung is coming from. He felt neglected by his father just because of someone told him that his son is weird and he actually felt that his father favoring and believing what Inho and Inha said than his. He felt betrayed by his friend when he heard him badmouthing him when he's not around and never saw either Inho nor Inho felt guilty about it. Some so-called friends are just sticking to him because they need something to him then they badmouthing him when they dont get what they want from him. That is really frustrating and I know how it feels like. I can relate with Jung that is why I understand him. And Seol loves him and understands him. Maybe Seol see whats inside him. 💙
I couldn't agree more. Just finished the show a few days ago and this couple became instantly one of my favorites, because they are so different. I could really understand Jung too. Most of the people around him were hypocrites, fake friends who they just used him and how important is that they didn't treat like that only him, but Seol too, because they were weird according to them. Amd this is why imo thry fell for each other, they were very much alike. I don't justify his actions but i understand why he acts like that.

I loved how he always understands her mood, her feelings and her thoughts... I loved the scene where he answered to her thoughts to invite him to her apartment "I would love to, but next time" or when he answered to her thoughts if he forgot about their first kiss "I remember everything, I did not forget it" :) Oh Yoo Jung you are melting my heart.... I totally loved his character and Kim Go Eun is just a great actress... The Coin Locker Girl brought me here....

I really love Park Haejin and Yoo Jung's character. Jung is not the perfect male lead like any other k-dramas, that's what makes me more curious and liking his character more than Baek In Ho. It really hurts to see Seol sometimes takes others' sides (Inho's) than her boyfriend's, but I really hope this couple can stay together until the end of the story ♡

I find Hong Soel is the most attractive character portrayal for Kim Go Eun. No offense to Ji Euntak and Jeong Taeul lovers 😀✌️ Hong soel, even in her awkwardness, her seemingly boring life without the appearance of Jung, but above all her faith and enduring love for Jung is so appealing, and KGE was able to portray all those emotions in this drama without cringing (except when she tried to kiss Jung in the car, but still find it so hilarious yet sweet). This drama of hers officially convinced me of her acting prowess not Goblin, though I really love it, then The King solidifies her standing in the acting business. She’s a powerhouse, PERIOD 💯
개인적으로 대학시절의 풋풋하고 행복하고 또 가슴 아팠던 제 사랑의 모습과 너무나 닮은 드라마여서... 아련하고 그리워져요.

Just finished the series. And im surprised this series is not your usual kdrama. But a love story that is different from what whe used to see such as love triangle or rich guy poor girl. A complicated male lead and a strong woman female lead make this series more interesting. It's a good one. One among the most.
When I first saw this drama I was new in kdrama. I know about Park Hae-jin is the main lead character. On that time I did not know other actor's name or work. I didn't know it was Kim Go-eun as Hong Seol. When I watched Goblin I love her work in that and try to know about her. Then i know that she is the main female lead of Cheese In the Trap. She looks so different on both dramas. Love her acting on both drama. She looks perfect as Hong Soel and also perfect as Ji Eun-tak. Love both dramas, watched them more then 4 times and know will not board to watch them again.
Why i still can't get over this drama😭💕💕 i love this couple so much

Many people are saying that the character or at least the main female character isn't same as the one in comic book. Well since i haven't read the book, and even if I did, I would still love her. She plays that character so well and I just love how she acts. She is so talented! Omg she is now my second favorite Korean actress, following Go Hyo-Jin. These two ladies are so god damn talented and charming. I know they are not the prettiest but they are so real and down to earth to me. It's okay, It's love and Cheese in the trap - the two Korean dramas that's so realistic, has unbelievable chemistry and worth watching every second of it. CHANNGGG!!!!

It's true, the end was very disappointing but it's nice to find out about the manhwa. I look forward to read it. I can't understand why this drama didn't get more press attention, it's so nice, different and refreshing. Now I'm looking up for all Park Hae Jin ssi dramas and Kim Go Eun ssi is such a good actress, I'll keep an eye on both of them.

i watched Goblin before i watch this drama...at first i did not realize the same actress, they look so different....
cant believe i dont like kim Go Eun in goblin but i really love her in this drama....
and for the ending, although many people complain, but i think its goes well with the story plot and Yoo Jung character...
in fact he is replying Seol the email in the end, make me feel happy..... and i can still hear in my head the way Yoo Jong call 'seol a~~'
