Nice review, I picked up the A2681TB1 Travel Angel, the aluminum magnesium model for $260. From what I've read this is the same factory the produces the Induro Tripods. I'm using this with my Gripped 7D with a 70-200mm L IS lens and I'm very impressed with the Benro . This model was rated for 26lbs with the B1 ball head ( more than enough ), granted it only folds down to 19 inches, but it works for me.
Great! Glad that it helped you. I, personally, couldn't find much info on it when I was looking. Have you had a chance to use yours yet? I still love mine.
@Avarummage When you say walking stick, do you mean the monopod with the foam grip? If yes, then yes it does come with that. Looks like the difference between this model & the C2682TB1 is that the one I purchased comes with 5 leg extensions. Other than that, they both appear to have similar specifications. All I know is that the TB1 ballhead is very strong & moves smoothly. I'd be happy with either one. When in it's carrying case, people wouldn't guess that you were carrying around a tripod.
@ducati900sscr Thanks man! I appreciate that. Glad to hear you're enjoying your Benro. Yeah...when I spoke to some representative at Benro, he did mention that they make Induros as well. I just love my tripod & the fact that I paid so little for it. Best regards.
If you ask me, it looks exactly the same. It has the 2 legs positions, twist locks, the ball head looks the same, carbon fiber, even folds up the same. I read about it on DPreview & Benro makes it. It even sells for less than what Amazon is selling the Travel Angel for. B&H is selling the MeFoto for about what I paid for my Travel Angel & it comes with a carrying case. I say go for it! All the specs appear to be the same. They have an excellent return policy.
i orderd the C2682TB1 after seeing it first hand with a 100 400mm mounted on the b1 ballhead , no problems , pukka build quality for the price , both best in range i think , but the 4 section swayed me abit , ye it comes with a compus walking stick handle made of oak , for converting the monopod into a walking stick , like a multitool tripod
No, I haven't. I actually JUST purchased it yesterday after doing a serious amount of research on what catered to me for about a month or so. I was leaning toward the Manfrotto 055XPROB Tripod / 496RC2 Ball head mainly because of the swivel neck feature which really impressed me but the weight of it totally turned me off (15lbs!). I should be getting my Benro in a little over a week in the mail and I'm literally counting the days lol.
nice review, but how about landscape photography when its windy? is it still stable? i know, there is hook that you can hang you backpack or other wight.. im still considering, is it good for that.. so advice is?
Hello. I wold say that if you're using a short/wide lens & the tripod is weighed down, it should be pretty stable. It also depends on how heavy your camera U& lens combo is. The head it what is the most sturdy. The legs are carbon fiber & it you have them extended all the way, they are pretty thin at the long end & a little flimsy. You could avoid this by possibly not extending the legs all the way. To gain more height, you could also extend the center column, which is pretty thick & is very stable. This is a great tripod if you're going to be hiking off to remote locations or traveling, otherwise, if landscape it your forte, you may want to get a really nice Gitzo or something a little larger. The great thing about it is that it is very light-weight & extremely portable. I hope this helps.
Now I know what you're saying. It's made in China but shipped from DigitalRev in Hong Kong. My bad. I guess that I thought it just just part of mainland China so I looked it up & according to Wikipedia, it has been since 1997. China resumed sovereignty over China from the British, although it does have it's own political system. I hope to visit it one day. : )
That's awesome! Congratulations! There's nothing like a light-weight tripod that folds up small & easily taken everywhere you go.
Your video helped me solidify my choice as far as the perfect travel tripod for my every day ventures on my bike around nyc. Thanks for the rundown!

Paul, one year later, are you still happy with this tripod? Are there any drawbacks or something you didn't like? Thank you!

did you not get a walking stick handle too ?
Is this the same as a Benro Mefoto Globetrotter (MeFOTO C2350Q2)?

cool, thanks a lot :)
thanx for good review!
Glad I could help. : )
how much does it cost?
It appears to be discontinued. You'd have to look for it used. I would try Ebay.
Thanks.. I hope other invest in these tripods instead of the big names :-)

Why thank you. : )
There is a newer version C2682TV2 Tripod Kit. $459.
Its Hong Kong, not China. Kai doesn't like chinese products. LOL
This was the slowest, most boring unpack I've watched yet.
