This literally made me want to change my major to agriculture so I can move to Texas and start a regenerative ranch of my own, or at least help and work on one.
If you did take agriculture like I am, you would realize that a lot of what is said in this video is misinformed especially when he states that grains aren't good for these animals which is a blatant lie. The fact that we need to be conscientious of our land sustainability is true tho but ignoring soil health is really a thing of the past as just about all farmers are aware of this and acting accordingly.

It is just annoying since I always see their episodes early because I love this channel, but I am not buying an Apple TV device when I already have a new iPhone, iPad, laptop and ps4 with Netflix and crave tv. Like that is expensive enough as it is.
I love this so much. It’s very important to note that there was NO ISSUE with soil, bison, or regenerative land management before the colonization of North America. The indigenous people of the area were and are incredibly diligent about regenerative land management.
FACTS lmao I'm glad someone else pointed that out! can't separate the rise of industrial farming and the destruction of the land with the colonization of the Americas and the attitudes that come with that
wow so you're telling me that hunter gatherers without written language had an understanding of these concepts? doesn't that imply that they could have been industrial farmers but chose not to? 🙄
jonah the bear the whole point is that industrial farming ruined the land and they’re trying to fix it. Native Americans had (and still have) well documented regenerative land management practices that have been understood by historians, anthropologists, and ecologists for decades. If you care to educate yourself, I suggest reading the book 1491 by Charles Mann, or simply googling Native American or indigenous land management for a wealth of documented resources.
jonah the bear people with “written language” were too ignorant to know that killing nearly all the beaver for silly hats (ruining the natural, essential streams, dams, and woodland ecosystems) and killing off nearly all the buffalo and leaving most of the carcass to rot out unused was selfish and detrimental to their environment. Maybe take a class on the sophistication of indigenous society’s systems. There are many.
I can never get enough of Brad and Vinny!! 👏🏻👏🏻 I appreciate them taking the time to look into things like this because it’s important. I also appreciate that Brad really works with the people he does the show with!
Brad, you should do an episode where you make your own vinegar/vinegars, and then another episode making your own salt and vinegar chips!! Really inspiring stuff in this video 👍🏽
The one thing I love about Brad is. No matter what situation you put him in! No matter what country/state/province. E.g you get the point hahah! He always tries to get on the same level as the person he's talking with. Not matter what kind of person hes talking to. Hes always the same! Love it 😊👏
Honestly, I learned a lot from this episode! Its sad to know how much we really have messed up, but its also encouraging to know that there are people and companies out there that are willing to help fix it and slowly change things so that us and the planet are better taken care of for years to come :) It does matter where our food comes from and how its made :)
Thank god we have ranchers like this. I sincerely hope the rest of the agricultural/livestock industry can follow suit. It's not an exaggeration to say that if we don't then we have no future on this planet. Or at least a very destitute one.

As Vinny doesn’t cook but is strictly a camera man/ editor. Idk how well Bon appétit was treating him. this was probably more of a company issue.
Taylor speaks so well, such an important issue too. It's good to see someone acutely aware of the importance, that each of their decisions have on their animals and the land.
i love this episode because not enough people know or care about soil health
You're right, I had no idea. Now it's all I think about
Thank you, BA. For covering this immensely important topic.
Home, home on the range
Where Leone, and the buffalo play
Where seldom is heard, the regenerative word,
And Brad annoys Vinny allllll daaayyy
EVERYBODY!
Ames E C okay, quality comment right here. Wanna know why?...
The cadence matches the actual song!!! It bothers the heckity heck out of me when the lyrical cadence doesn’t add up.
So thank you. Truly from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you!

I was thinking "Hm haven't been seeing new episode of It's Alive for a while..." and boom, 1 min later you guys are here.
They've got an exclusivity period with AppleTV/Roku/Amazon Fire, which has apparently just ended for this episode.
Same fam
Tyler Berry it is for all episodes that they have early access but they are still thankfully posting on RUclips.
It is just annoying since I always see their episodes early because I love this channel, but I am not buying an Apple TV device when I already have a new iPhone, iPad, laptop and ps4 with Netflix and crave tv. Like that is expensive enough as it is.
You witch! you warlock! You made this happen with your mind!!!
all of us have been dying for weeks for a new its alive episode
Poppy is a good girl, 13/10 would feed again! I love the way this rancher does things, letting the bison heal the land.
I'm Brad from It's Alive, and today we're at RAM RANCH.

More cooking stuff! Nice
He will be Arthur's brother.
Arbiter if only :(
Arbiter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love this so much. It’s very important to note that there was NO ISSUE with soil, bison, or regenerative land management before the colonization of North America. The indigenous people of the area were and are incredibly diligent about regenerative land management.
♥
Thank you, Brad, for using an episode to shed light on such an important issue. Soil health is human health
I can never get enough of Brad and Vinny!! 👏🏻👏🏻 I appreciate them taking the time to look into things like this because it’s important. I also appreciate that Brad really works with the people he does the show with!
I'm pretty sure Vinny is gone/leaving soon according to his instagram. :/
This video just proves that I will watch anything with Brad in it
After he told Brad that his daughter eats that & Brad chomps down, I was waiting for “just kidding.”
A minute and twenty seven seconds of Brad getting the intro down. Not only do I stan, but I yee damn haw.

So happy that Brad is back considering that most people watch this channel for Claire and Brad .
Great Series Bon Appetit!!!!!!!!!
Today we'll be talking about how to pronounce the word "regenerative"
regenetive!
Brad is a national treasure. You have gotten me through the quarantine so far, thanks for your videos.
Brad liking the alfalfa is everything
His progressively higher pitched “Oh yea” as he’s pouring the mineral into the mineral trailer has me dying 😂😂😂
Bisons are BEAUTIFUL animals😍😍😍Amazing
Brad, you should do an episode where you make your own vinegar/vinegars, and then another episode making your own salt and vinegar chips!! Really inspiring stuff in this video 👍🏽
As someone who has worked cows in Texas, moving cows from one pasture to another is essentially most of what I did.
Have you tried cotton fed beef
@Defqon Better if we have less people like you.

I legit waited to watch this bc of all the comments saying this was "so educational" (albeit in a positive tone...but still). When FINALLY watching it, I found it was just as - actually more - entertaining as the usual shows! Taylor Farms, you're awesome for sharing so much with us!

“It should be decomposing organic matter”
Brad: “It should smell like dirt”
Lmaoo
His point was that it doesn't smell like dirt in the way that it should.
watching brad plays with dogs is the right way to start your morning
when brad dug up the soil accompanied with the squeak noises it just killed me. worth the wait
Brad being disappointed in humanity is a big mood
Wow... why am I learning so much?? Its like a cooking show? Thank you Brad, for your endless curiosity, and bringing it to us
I appreciate brad's positive attitude.

Brad and dogs is just the best! And his fascination with ASMR makes me giggle too. LOVE THIS EPISODE.
K stands for kalium which is the neo-Latin word for potassium. Scientists used to really like naming everything in Latin and Greek.
