J1 LEAGUE 2023: VLOG #58 HOKKAIDO CONSADOLE SAPPORO VS KYOTO SANGA FC @ SAPPORO DOME

Up north we go for stop #14! My 1st time heading up to the northern island of Hokkaido and making land right in the capital of Sapporo! The match I was going to be attending over at the insane looking Sapporo Dome was between hosts, Consadole Sapporo and visitors, Kyoto Sanga. Sore throat and all, I had an amazing time exploring the vast city of Sapporo and all the amazing things the 5th largest city in Japan has to offer!
On this particular day, I started my day by paying a visit to the Sapporo Beer Museum, which is actually my favorite beer in the world and after a quick, brief self-guided tour, and delicious beer tasting, I headed back down to the central part of town to walk around Odori Park. There was a Lilac Festival going on, as well as a ramen show so you already know I had to try some delicious Hakodate style ramen! Before making my way to the stadium, I decided to stop by for some delicious ice cream that Hokkaido is known for and OMG! It did not disappoint, and to accompany it with liqueur was something extraordinary! After that rewarding ice cream, I finally make my way to the unique and sensational Sapporo Dome. It is definitely a quite different stadium than those I have been on this series. It gave me Mercedes Benz vibes, but overall an incredible venue, which is why it hosted the 2002 WC as well. The match was one of my favorites on this tour. The intensity and competitiveness was very much high throughout with opportunities spawning both left and right from both teams, it immediately made for a great match! That's how I spent match day up in Sapporo and I cannot wait to come back in the future! Absolutely underrated!
