Hey Hagen, Been missing your videos. 44.6 - net, pretty awesome skunk buster man. Can't always catch a boat full. Still a good trip. Great job. keep up the good work. Good luck...
The humor author, Patrick F. McManus, suggested replacing the dinky drain plug with something closer in size to a manhole cover. Doing this eliminates the mystery of the small drain allowing the boat to flood slowly over time. The larger plug actually activates your memory cells especially after the second or third time you forget to install it.
Awesome video ty for that. Also lol that push boat u filmed in the background is a boat that I have been employed by for 33 years. I am a captain on 1 of the Houston area boats. Again great video and gratz on that monster cat....
I was a texas bass angler I live in ky. Now and I have catfish fever!!! Been binge watching your vids for a few days.. really enjoy it and have learned a lot!!! Also love the family feel from your videos bud... classy af
Hands down, over the years I've found the BEST time to reel in steady catfish is after a hard rain following a dry spell. Say you get no rain for 7 days in the hot summer, then a huge down pour? Get out and fish. The rain washing nutrients from the shore into the lake totally gets them feeding. It generally has to be a pretty good rain. Enough to get the creeks flowing into the lake flowing heavy. The secret is, WHILE its hot and dry and not raining, you have to be vigilant, poles ready, watching the weather so when the big rain comes, you are on it.
Hey brother. Been with you since the beginning. Would you be willing to do a video on how you dial in your sonar and how to make it a truly useful tool? I know there are a bunch of videos from other folks available on the topic...but your way of explaining things is tops! I apologize if you already made a video about it and I missed it somehow.... Thanks! -Bird
Absolutely, I’ve been planing on doing that for a while, I’ve been thinking on it and taking mental notes on how to make it as informative as I can. Hopefully soon. Thanks so much for the support👍
If the lake has navionics it can be a huge help on reading the bottom contours from the bank. There is a free app you can get on your smartphone. If the lake has a thermocline in the summer then I would suggest fishing shallow areas or fishing under a float above the thermocline. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. Thank you for watching 👍
Nice to see you out and making another video. When you put multiple baits out try using painters tape on top of rod rack and use sharpie to make a mark of what bait is on the line. B= blue gill S= skipjack SU = sucker
What line you run? I'd love to come fish with ya. I'm not no green horn. I got some hogs under my belt. Just to poor for boat lol. Good job guys love you alls videos exspically in my back yard. Tight lines boys.
awesome video ,but wonder why you throw the gut pouch away it looked fresh still? i always thought that was some good bait lol just wondering thanks...
Hey Hagen you and Landon should come and fish Bink Fox's cancer Bennett tournament on April 16. It's for cancer research and the money will go to families that have a hard time getting to appointments, needing gas money and motels so they can get their family back and forth to treatment. Also help with groceries or whatever they may need. There's already 51 boats registered and alot of big names are gonna be there.
@@hagengrubbsfishing man it was an awesome turn out. There was 85 spots for boats and every spot was filled. 85 boats. Tough fishing tho. Alot of boats got skunked or only caught one small fish. Winner had 83 pounds second had 52 and third only had 33. We ended up with 15 pounds.
You using spot lock for these areas? I enjoy fishing for blue cats and just added a Terrova to my bow, was curious if you were able to keep the lines tight with spot lock?
Hey hagen I'm looking for a fish finder for my pontoon for catfish and winter small mouth in Laurel lake .like to have something affordable and user friendly can you recommend so many features on different ones.ps we got some nice cats in woods creek lake in London ky come on down.
I personally like the garmin products, they are very user friendly. The default setting are great imo. Very reasonably priced for what you get. Thanks for watching 👍
I use the takling Kats 8/0 but they actually quit selling them. When I run out I will probably start using the ripping lips 8/0 tournament grade circle hooks. Thank you for watching, if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
Thanks guys great job again 👍 someday I hope I can make it happen for my daughter... question if you don't mind?? I see your hooks DO NOT have a bend at the eyelet.. all I can find in my area has a bend right at the eye .. Is that bad or have you found that to be less of a hook up percentage than the straight ones ??? Stay safe GOD bless 🙏👍
Thanks for the kind words, as far as the hooks I prefer the straight shank/non octopus circle hooks simply because I believe the snell knot is more effective with a straight eye. But I think it’s mostly just a preference/confidence thing. I have friends that fish with octopus circle’s and they don’t have any problems. Thank you very much for watching and good luck out on the water👍
I normally cut it off on the frozen skips and leave it on the fresh ones. I just don’t have much confidence in the guts once they have been frozen. Just a preference thing I guess. Thank you for watching👍
Great show Hagen
Landon is TWICE the size he use to be! He's growing up. Y'all have great family content. Thanks again.

This was a few miles upstream of Madison Indiana. Thank you for watching 👍
Where do you go on the ohio
I fish several different pools on the Ohio but this day we were just upstream from Madison Indiana. Thank you for watching👍
