    Thanks for the video David. Really appreciate you taking the time to cover this on the channel. I really love using this tap myself and sure they will be popular around the globe.

    I purchased a pair of these taps along with the flow control quick disconnects. I've been quite happy with them so far. I don't have a draft setup with external taps, so I just attach these to my corny kegs in the refrigerator. They are much simpler, and I might add, cleaner than trying to use picnic taps and hoses as I've done in the past. Also, the flow control feature is wonderful in my situation. Once the flow control was adjusted, I'd say that it's the first time that I've been able to pour a proper pint first time and each time afterward. I can also see that I should invest in the cleaning setup as well.

    Seeing this and a few annoyances with my most recent brew just gave me the idea to use this as a sample valve for my fermenter next time I brew. That might save me from some of the hassle I currently have with my current setup so thanks.

      CMB do make very premium faucets. Nukataps I feel offer a very good pour and experience for a more down to earth and realistic price for most people.

    Hi David, great review as always. Its worth noting that the collar that catches on the flow control disconnect can be rotated separately to the tap, so it can still be fixed even when the disconnect is vertical.
    I wouldn't recommend getting the self-closing springs. I suspect they are too small to work without losing their strength to close the tap.

    • @DavidHeathHomebrew
      @DavidHeathHomebrew  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Great to hear and thanks.
      The self closing spring should work, sounds like you should reach out to where you bought it for a solution , mine works very well.

      Ive had the Mini since April last year and that pre production sample with spring is working still. I did see others on my FB group have this issue alongside others without the issue. So it could be there are some springs that need replacement.

    • @BuckRogers2491
      @BuckRogers2491 7 месяцев назад +2

      I just received two Nukatap Mini and two of the self-closing springs. I noticed the collar that holds the tap handle in is on way too tight, at least on mine. The spring would have had a difficult time closing the tap. Loosen the collar, then tighten a bit at a time while operating the tap handle to find a snug but not too tight spot.

    I’ve got one, and it’s great. My only issue is that mine does tend to drip. I need to really “turn it off” and even then it’s still likely. Not a drama if I’m using it, but if a few different people are using it then drips galore.

    • @DavidHeathHomebrew

    Thanks David. On the strength of your review, I've just bought 3 Nukatap minis, with flow control disconnects. Quick question - each tap had a spring supplied with it. Do I need to include this in the assembly of the item, or is it a spare? I love Kegland stuff, but I sometimes wish they'd provide a bit more in the way of instructions.

    • @DavidHeathHomebrew

      Great to hear. The spring allows the tap to spring back in place after serving or to protect against knocks.

    Just got two of these, however no-one mentioned that these, on flow control disconnects, do not fit on corny kegs unless the black keg handle has cut outs as in your video. My kegs are all the “all round” handles without cut-outs so I am very disappointed.

    does anyone know if the mini accepts the stout faucet with the restrictor plate ?

    • @DavidHeathHomebrew
      @DavidHeathHomebrew  4 месяца назад +1

      The mini has a much smaller spout size than a standard Nukatap, so sadly the existing fittings are not options.

    I have one with the flow control disconnect plus I installed the spring (which is an extra)
    Question : I pull the lever forward and the beer pours (no problem) BUT if I let go of the leaver the beer still pours and I have to physically return the lever to the closed position to stop the flow - is this correct?
    I though by using the spring the lever would return to the closed position if released?

      Try adjusting the the tension on the collar under the tap handle. It’s a fine line but you can give the spring enough freedom to do what it needs to but still maintain a good seal.
