Goes to show these things are like tanks. Even when the board has few broken components it just ain't giving up life at all. My Grandma's Panasonic same type as this National is almost 30 years old and it still like brand new, even without a single service to it at all!
i agree! they are really built to last, and seemed won't giving up although you're really use them to make them die. ah, that Panasonic. yep, i've seen the video of your grandma's Panasonic before, and that unit is indeed super pristine!
It probably has a weak capacitor on the control board. When you leave it plugged in for awhile the capacitor will reform itself and work again. I have seen this same similar thing with old tvs and vcrs.
@@achillesalejandro8694 hmm, that actually happens every the transformer on the PCB board already heat up. i still have no idea why that would always happen
It does not respond when remoted well it does only showing a green indicator blinking has a blue green indicator but there is another one maybe red indicator i seen the same unit in ur video in a office its not my office but somebody office might be my mom's office
if you've seen my previous video regarding this unit ruclips.net/video/pmeYKgKe8U0/видео.html, you'll find your answer in the description box. the thing is, i'm not buying this unit in a new condition
I think it's bad capacitors, not resistors. Bad capacitors take a ridiculously long time to charge up, and kinda off topic, I've seen a basically rotten old Macintosh computer in a video, when plugged in for the first time appears completely fried but during midnight it starts like a ghost outta nowhere😂
i'm not sure for the capacitors since i haven't measured the components one by one using a multimeter tester. but some of the resistors on this unit have corroded, and i can always take the detailed photos regarding it, and i can sent the photos anytime to you as a proof.
@@TheeXtremeFanEnthusiast ahh...i remember my ModernAire (Toyo OEM) TA-12CS KoolSplit 1997 model turning on at random times and sometimes just blinking the timer light...and the HVAC madman replaced it with a dodgy universal control board that barely had any controlls...recently that aircon made really loud noises and doubled our electricity bill...it was a unfixable gas leak. RIP Toyo KoolSplit, you served us well better than 2007 chinese garbage aircons.

30 years? Have you got it cleaned at least? that would make it last longer.

i see. i thought components that looks worn up is definitely broke or weak, but that's not always the case. thank you for the sharing!

For some reason why national ac startup sounded like Samsung WindFree Startup sound aswell
I have samsung windfree mock-up
maybe changing the module sensor and pcb works?
definitely that’ll solve all the problems. but finding the spare module for this unit is not easy, even the unit itself is hard to find by now
@@TheeXtremeFanEnthusiast maybe universal pcb board?
@@rerez01-01i don’t prefer using universal pcb board, as i don’t want to broke the originality of this unit
