Oh my God the fact that Leon holds his back in pain from catching armored Ashley fills my heart will joy it's so funny and makes me want to buy the Switch version coming next year just to see it

Re4 is one of those games where you have so much stuff to unlock and enjoy that it becomes infinitely replayable

I'm currently replaying it on the switch after not touching it since gamecube.
I didn't have a memory card,
so I used to come home from school and play it back up to wherever it got shut off at.
I've beaten it so many times, I can still play it almost professionally while being invested into a TV show 🤡
Its alot of fun replaying a game I literally grew up with, and still discovering new things.
I didn't know egg farming was a thing for easy money.
Edit: eventually I'll be able to play the new remake,
but gaming isn't something I'm investing money into atm sadly

@@taissrensen2904 he just meant how modern games are now. However you can actually buy the bonus weapons in games like re2 remake and re3 remake with real money. This just makes it so the weapons are automatically unlocked on your first play through. They can be unlocked for free though if you just play the game.
I beat the game once then buy it
The professional mode in re 5 is so brutal that you only take 1 hit and you die and go in dying state for 0.5 seconds. Basically it’s a mode for no damage run. Also, the rotten egg in 5 deals like a big damage that there’s an achievement for killing enemy with it

The broken butterfly is a .45 magnum. The handcannon is a .50 cal.

You should do an on sight procurement run. Basically you can only use what you can find, no buying weapons. Handgun, shotgun, broken butterfly, grenades, eggs, the castle rocket launcher, and the saddler rocket launcher. The punisher is in a gray area because you can get it without technically buying it. Upgrading is allowed, but you also can't buy the tactical vest, extra first aid, etc. Basically all money must be used for upgrading.
I finally beat this game at 100%, got every weapon, costume, beat every extra game, max mercenaries 5 stars every stage, bottle caps, im pumped af
I have also done all those things except for the bottle caps cause I hate doing that. By far none of those things is an easy task maybe my run through isn't hard for me. And of course Ashley's suit of armor costume is the absolute best because you don't have to worry about her.
@Maria Flores I had no Idea you could do that, I always just one tapped whatever came up in the head with the TMP or the Handgun because I usually never miss those shots and try to do it as fast as possible, got all the bottle caps that way but I'll try it out to see how the multi shots work
How dl you unlock the rest of the game in the re4 remake 2023 version
Another small detail with the Hand cannon. If I remember correctly, it has a different reload if you don't have infinite bullets. Similar to the broken butterfly where you load individual rounds.
With the Chicago Typewriter & the fully upgraded hand cannon, you can basically clear the entire game in just anywhere between 2-5 hours.
I think you can do that with the PRL 412 too because it's a one shot on anything Maybe not so much with the PS2 version however I haven't played that version in years. I agree with you though those are also the best weapons to have

Those are placeholders since there weren't enough cutscenes in that slot.

You can still get it but you need to do a lot of glitches. I think.

It was a cutscene they didn’t use, but you can actually get it if you glitch with the striker. The cutscene is about the first time you see the mutant fly thingy.

The Wii version used to be my favourite version of RE4. Now it is the RE4 VR version on Meta Quest 2

The Red-9 is great early and even mid game, but late game in professional mode it falls really short, because enemies are real bullet sponges, it becomes necessary to rely on critical hits, which ultimately means that for Handguns at least, the beginning handgun is actually the best for late game with its critical hit modifier, especially when plagas spawn from enemies.
This took me 3 or 4 tries to unlock the P.R.L 412 in professional mode because I restarted the whole game because I don't have any health or Ammo's it's tough
I think Chicago Typewriter is the best weapon.
Hand cannon does hundred damage but Chicago does hundred damage a second

The P.R.L 4.1.2 in VR is kinda like the one in PS2, and the one in the newer versions.
It takes long to charge but it does shoot multiple lasers.
Also combined with the fact you can now blind yourself, we should be glad we can't charge it fast in VR.

Just a few fun facts, in my opinion the OG shotgun is still better than the riotgun because although the Riotgun can shoot far targets from the get go, the riotgun almost has zero spread, which means it can't take down a crowd of enemies in a single shot like the OG shotgun can. Meanwhile, even with its exlusive, the shotgun retains its ablilty to crowd control while gaining the upside of the riotgun.
Another one is the TMP, in the ps2 version, the TMP has a final attack of 2.5, which is just insane which its firing speed and ammo output.

@@medievalshadows2836 well, it requires a cheat code but the trade off is unlimited ammo for all weapons you pick up. Goes well with the Magnum and gunstocked Matilda/VP70 for leon, as for Claire, her Grenade launcher and SAA.

The Wii edition IMO is hands down the best version of RE4
It certainly was for a long time, the HD remaster on PC is the best now simply down to the massively upgraded graphics and the movement sensitivity controls. The Wii version I still love though just because of the controller inherent to the wii, can’t beat being able to actually aim with the controller.

@@chrislarson9504 It is the same system but they made it so that you can change sensitivity and you can rotate if you push the cursor to the edge of the screen.

Oh mercenaries was so fun and to me, the hand cannon is worth it. I remember when I had re4 for ps2 and using my gameshark when playing mercenaries. It was well after I beat everything in it and I just wanted to cycle each level with just infinite ammo just for fun lol

I played this game from 2005-2014. Until my wii broke. Actually it's just not reading the disk anymore. Tried every tutorial on cleaning. It didn't work. May i ask the folks here how to get the welcome to hell version of this game? Is it unlockable? I finished professional mode a ton of times. I want the challenge of completing a much harder difficulty.
There is only normal and professional mode. I suppose you can make your own difficulty (barely use any weapons, etc) and call it “welcome to hell”
Well i think this game is modified version of the game.
I know this is a kinda old video, but my favorite guns in re4 are the TMP, P.R.L. 412, Chicago typewriter, striker, auto sniper, broken butterfly, and infinite rocket launcher.
Edit: I’m talking about when the guns are fully upgraded.

I feel confident replaying the game with a fully upgraded Blacktail and semi auto rifle. I add the fully upgraded 100 shot shotgun as a get the fuck off me option.
Nice set up. The only difference for me is running the Red 9 instead of the Blacktail.

the era when so many goodies and game modes were unlocked after u beat the game once or more than once ...now u have to pay real money for even skin and outfits
I'm a bit confused, maybe someone could explain why it took the same number of rounds (4) to kill the chainsaw dude with the fully upgraded Broken Butterfly (50 firepower) as it did with the fully upgraded bolt-action rifle (30 firepower). Maybe it has something to do with the fact that he shot at him from a farther distance with the broken butterfly? I'm not sure.
No he shot him at the exact time when he was getting up off the ground so it glitched out the damage for one of the shots.
Yeah typically it’d take 1/2 shots from the broken butterfly, best gun in the game in my opinion
Fun fact : if you hit a ganados with a rotten egg it instakills them, they just put so much love into that game
There is no rotten egg in RE4. That started in RE5

my ultimate goal in life is to be rich enough to build an exact replica of the entire salazar castle in exact scale and size and map in real life with all the details and halls even the ones visible in the distance that leon did not explore in the game and then open it to tourists and gamers from all over the world and throw RE4 theme party and halloween nights in it. Maybe I will end up living in the room next to the maze garden lol. but it probably get scary at nights. maybe I'll have a couple of german sheperds in the garden to freak out people
