Oh that’s Primary 2 math for us (Grade 2 for you not from Singapore) Edit: in case anyone was interested www.moe.gov.sg/docs/default-source/document/education/syllabuses/sciences/files/mathematics_syllabus_primary_1_to_6.pdf
I mean honestly the questions are quite hard, they are very elementary in the sense that the questions are about basic artimatic, but they do require some thought like for the first question, the trick is that y/x < y+n/x+n for any positive n the questions are elementary but not easy, you only need to know very few to be able to answer them but it doesn't mean you can.
The first question is exactly a question in primary school. Most of students in China can do some questions requiring some thought. I think we have a high penetration in education of math.
@@夜猫凋灵 I do think math in hk should be harder, most people can't really think formally and rigorously, I think everyone in mainland can do mathematical proof properly.
夜猫凋灵 the type of of questions yes , not on this level of complications . Everything is the same up to second decimal and there no obvious common factor like wtf a first grade supposed to do .
@@FortunePathVenerable I simply tried to multiply all of them to close to 100 and get approximate but god dang it.... the guy who made this question knew it would be so easy so he had a few of them close to 60..... such evil mind. Who even came up with this is a psychopath. Of coz, I did that without a calculator. Idk if a first grader can do it in his/her mind without the help of a calculator. Is there a trick? I thought it was D but the answer is B. D and B are only 0.7 different after multiplied both of them to be close to 100.
@@VoyagerEugen Loooooong story. But basically Cover Corp made an enemy of their Chinese audience after they harassed Coco and Akai Haato for "showing" something that CN people don't like, making a huge hate machine that basically ruined their relationship with billibilli.
@@VoyagerEugen To better explain, back in September, Haachama looked at her RUclips analytics and noticed that she had a sizable fanbase in Taiwan (this was simulcasted to billibilli, the Chinese RUclips equivalent). In China, the populace has been thoroughly indoctrinated to believe that Taiwan isn’t an independent people and take any indication to the contrary with... extreme vitriol to put it lightly. Shortly after, Kiryu Coco did something similar on her AsaCoco morning show. This painted a target on both of their backs from the jingoistic nationalists among the Chinese hololive fanbase, so Cover elected to put both girls on a three-week suspension to let the heat die down (a standard response to really stupid outrage mobbing). As the three weeks went on, Chinese nationalists in the hololive fandumb began hitting at other hololive talent unrelated to the incident demanding that Cover get rid of Haachama and especially, ESPECIALLY Coco. It quickly became apparent that shitstorm in China wouldn’t die down, incentivizing hololive to just cut their losses and pull out of China’s market entirely (they were in there in the first place because Vtubing outside of Japan wasn’t a worldwide hit yet and they were running off fumes on a shoestring budget). The decision was made easier when further analysis showed that China contributed literal pennies compared to the rest of the world. As for how Hololive CN factors in, Cover Corp pulling out of China (they already bailed from billibilli on all fronts) meant that the talent they had there had to leave. To do right by the CN girls, they were allowed to keep the full income they got from their final streams and were offered the chance to either graduate (aka, idol talk for retiring) or go independent with their character, assets and all. This was quickly rescinded however and the CN girls were all made to graduate, though they each got the courtesy of a goodbye stream. No reason was given on the change of heart but there’s two strong possibilities. The first is that the CN girls were never supposed to keep their hololive persona and assets for said character in the first place and the opportunity to let them have those was just the Chinese management trying to pull a fast one on the whole company. The other is that most of the CN girls (especially Artia and I think Doris... or was it Rosalyn?) were conspiring against Coco and were happily egging on the harassment against her during the aforementioned suspension while putting up a nice front outside of China and to the rest of the agency, which was brought to the attention of Cover Corp. So yeah good riddance to bad chicoms I always say. Silver linings to this whole ordeal however include numerous CCP and other Chinese nationalist zealots exposing themselves and being kicked out of the wider fandom (notably the translation channel Hololive Moments and this one Aqua artist who tried to sneak anti-Coco sentiments in her artwork via gravestone text) and hololive managing to completely dodge China’s new and highly restrictive policies that seem to solely exist to dick over Vtubers in particular. Oh, and if it’s any consolation, there was little to no indication that either Spade Echo or Yogiri (if you just got into her) were part of CN’s little ‘Wolf Warrior’ clique. So they’re probably clear of any harassment antics or other CCP bootlicking.
I remember doing multiplication and division in 1st grade in China. Then I moved to the states and everyone counted with their fingers and I was bewildered. At least it was way less stressful.
Btw for anyone who doesn't know, a faster way of doing the first question is by arranging fractions according to the difference between denominator and numerator, instead of dividing them into decimals
Echo trying her best is cute. If she was my student, I wouldn't have tossed my student out the window. I mean, what? Disclaimer: not actually a teacher and no kids were actually tossed out of the window. I just face tabled myself really hard when I was trying to teach my brother math, but he would say he understands then proceeds to failing the questions I give him.
It's sad to know that, even after Cover is doing its efforts to slowly pull out from China and billibilli, the hate China has against Cover and Coco has not ceased.
When i saw the thumbnail I thought to myself wait those lessons were first graders? Since I saw vectors with tension and heat(enthalphy) thing and thought to myself thats pretty extreme, started watching the video good grief its just fractions.
Is Chinese first grade math with _fractions?!_
That’s like...3rd, even 4th grade in the States...
They aren’t even simple fractions, and it’s also comparison between them...
And now you know why all the Chinese kids in the US that came from China are so good with math.
that's grade 5 in the Philippines with teachers that just eat spaghetti in the back and had the class president do all the chalkboard work.
Yeah fractions is also third grade here.

Asian schools are very very rough even on kids but this is the reason why they're the most advanced countries in the world. Education is everything
