This tune always brings tears of joy to my eyes, and this time was no exeption. Well done. I tried to hold the tears back, but failed at 1.40. My god this song really brings all the complex feeling of life; joy, melancholia, sadness and euphoria and sums them all up in one, really simple tune.
A big thank you to the person who wrote this marvelous piece of music. And another to this remarkable little orchestra that plays this like you do. Pure bliss! Obrigado
Better late than never, youtube algorithm. :) Great rendition of the piece! I always associate this piece with warm summers from my childhood in western Sweden for some reason, but one thing is certain - it lifts the soul whenever I hear it. Thanks for posting it.
Wonderful performance, and you all look super charming when playing. I love this song, but I will never understand how it's humanly possible to learn how to play the accordion!
Thank you very much. I presume you are related to Lars. I never met him but I have been a friend of Otto Lechner for 20 years and I had the privilege to play with Otto's orchestra in Austria and Switzerland in 2016 where I first heard Boeve's Psalm. I have seen Lars in the Accordion Tribe on video. He was a great musician. Thank you so much and best wishes to you, George Butrumlis.
Most excellent! However is should not be "Trad arr. Lars Hollmer " but rather "Lars Hollmer arr. Lars Hollmer" as it is an original piece wtitten by Lars Hollmer and not a traditional folk tune.
Hi Christian. Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you liked our performance. We are using the sheet music which I have from Otto Lechner's "Wiener Zieharmonika" which I had the good fortune to perform with in 2015 in Austria and Switzerland. As you probably know Otto was a member of the Accordion Tribe and a good friend of Lars Hollmer. At the top of the sheet music it says, "Traditional Swedish. Arr: Lars Hollmer/Accordion Tribe." So we have just followed that inscription. I believe the sheet music we use was actually formatted by Lars although I have no direct knowledge of this.
@@georgebutrumlis288 The mistake is understandable, as it contains so many things that makes it sound like an old traditional Swedish song that speak to something deep within the soul of the Swedish people. I have met a lot of people (myself included) that could have sworn they used to sing it in school before going on summer hollidays, and older people that claim they heard or even played it well before Hollmer even wrote it.
As another Swede, Benny Andersson in ABBA put it: "People from the north rejoice in minor." But it seems to work down under too! As the very example ABBA clearly has shown, and here we see it again.
Yes, from your country! I never met Lars Hollmer who made the arrangement of this beautiful piece of music but I have known Otto Lechner, Bratko Bibic and Guy Klucevsek from Accordion Tribe for many years. I'm currently the musical director of the Melbourne Accordion Orchestra. I hope you liked our performance.
@@georgebutrumlis288Sten Broman was a Swedish musician, composer, music critic, and host for a music quiz show on Swedish Television in the 1960s-70s. He was quite vocal about his strong dislike for accordions. I think if he would hear this he'd either become a convert - or he'd suffer while the rest of us are enjoying it. 😄 But I'm hoping he'd come to appreciate how magical accordions can be.

Denna fantastiska komposition ♥️
From Sweden all the way to "down under"
Greetings from Sweden
AAAAAAAAAH! Ljuva barndom! Åtminstone den här låten. Den påminner om de positiva delarna.

Yes, it is somehow a very powerful piece of music.
Du var uthållig Jonas, 1.08 brast det för mig 😅
När killen fram i mitten lägger in sin melodislinga ovanpå grundmelodin 😂 helt magiskt
So happy that this swedish melody has found it’s way as far as Australia. Very well played! Greetings from Sweden.
