A shipping company and Airlines as a measure for inflation is.. their entire business model is based on the price of gas if gas goes up 20%, that's the one industry you can't pass on to the consumers at the same rate you could in another industry
My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.
I totally agree; I am 66 years old, recently retired, with approximately $1.2 million in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, I didn't do all this alone, but with the help of a financial advisor. Having one is currently the best way to trade in the stock market, especially for people nearing retirement.
Is there any chance you could recommend who you work with? I've wanted to make this switch for a very long time now, but I've been very hesitant about. I'll appreciate any recommendation.
Finding financial advisors like Melissa Terri Swayne who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.

Don’t be confuse buying the dip in a bear market, with guaranteed future returns. Just because that company is down 60%+ from ATH does NOT make it a sound long-term investment. Make sure you’re investing in great companies. kudos to Alexandra marie

Thanks Jeremy! Can't wait for your live NVIDIA earnings report! What most people either don't know or forget is NVIDIA's "AI Enterprise Software Subscription" program. On top of the chip price, they are charging $4,500 per chip per year for all the CUDA software support. Estimates for 2025 are that NVIDIA will have manufactured 4 million chips. 4M x $4,500 = $18 Billion in software support for a single year AND IT"S CUMULATIVE. So add in 2024 and 2025 and 2026 and that is another $45-$50 BILLION dollars (on top of all the chips, automotive, etc) EVERY YEAR!! This is how NVIDIA is going to grow their revenue stream! Everyone keeps asking if the chip sales are sustainable, well SOFTWARE SUBSCRIPTION is how they bridge that gap. No one is going to stop buying their chips and in buying those chips you have to buy the software subscription.....I'm buying NVIDIA stock hand over fist.....
Yes but isn’t that if chip buyers choose to have the Software subscription? Unless I’m missing something is it mandatory with each chip that’s sold that Cuda support is added on?

I think when it comes to pricing.... McDonalds might not be able to increase prices or P&G etc. ... but PLTR doesnt care about this.... we could see a pullback in the Dow (overdue), while Nasdaq heads higher. (less consumer driven)

IMO, I think it comes down to cons. stap.- spending nearly 50% more on groceries (over the last 1-2 years) while actually getting less! The necessities will be the make or break for the consumer!
