My First Steps Into Castlevania | Rondo Of Blood & Symphony Of The Night
Super Castlevania IV is one of those games I go back to once a year or so. The tight controls, badass graphics and soundtrack are all 🤌
Just found your channel after binging megaman and castlevania games. This is perfect
Ah man, it's exciting when someone new gets into Castlevania. If you liked SotN, there are plenty more where that came from, most of which feature a lot of the same development team too. 3 GBA games and three DS games. Castlevania Advance Collection is a good place to start, which includes the 3 GBA games. Aria of Sorrow is legitimately as good as (possibly better than) SotN, and the same goes for the three DS games. The other two GBA games are good, but lack some of the depth of the others. I've played SotN so many times since it came out, easily 25+ times. Glad to see you liked it.
As far as Rondo goes, there aren't really any that are similar. The anime style was really unique for that very specific era and console. The closest would probably be Super Castlevania IV on SNES or Castlevania: Bloodlines on Genesis, although the atmospheres are totally different compared to Rondo. There's also the PSP remake of Rondo, which is pretty decent as well.
Yeah I ended up loving SOTN, so I'm definitely gonna look into the other Metroidvanias. It's funny too, cause a friend actually suggested I play Aria of Sorrow.
Also Super Castlevania 4 is probably the game I'm looking forward to the most rn.

About time!
Muito legal ver você entrar na minha segunda franquia favorita!
Pois é, eu queria entrar na série há muito tempo e achei que já era hora!
honestly id recommend playing aria of sorrow, the 3 ds games, bloodlines, the adventure rebirth and super castlevania IV if you're hooked on this series. Aria and dawn are just symphony only you get subweapon and stat drops from EVERY enemy which increase the replay value tenfold, and super castlevania IV has that grim moody atmosphere you were expecting from rondo in SPADES, the ost and visuals are some of the most serene and rich of the entire 16 bit generation and the game is an incredibly accessible and forgiving experience start to finish as well.
oh also rebirth has the best song in the entire franchise imo ruclips.net/video/7AQl49GUclU/видео.html&pp=ygUXbmV3IG1lc3NpYWggY2FzdGxldmFuaWE%3D
This comment makes me more excited to play Super Castlevania 4 more than anything! Thank you so much for the in-depth description of these games!
Even IGA (Koji Igarashi) said The Tragic Prince is one of his favourite ost in this game.. BTW nice vid
Isn't that the director for SOTN? That means he also got good taste! And thank you!
@@PrimeShiem Yes he is.. Btw id you/re wondering what happened after SOTN, there is a radio drama officially from konami called Nocturne Of Recollection. You should check it out.
Recommendations(in order):
- super castlevania
- rondo (NOT DRACULA X)
- Bloodlines
- Symphony
- Aria
- Dawn
- and portrait or ruin
I would add order of ecclesia at the end there but yeah that list is pretty good
whats wrong with dracula x chronicles? it literally comes with the symphony of the night as an unlockable
@@uop1074 never finished order of ecclisea. Will try again some day
@ZeroOmega-vg8nq Dracula x is the SNES port of rondo. It is pure garbage!
Dracula X Chronicles is the 2.5D playstation remake. I don't play castlevania in any sort of 3d
@@mazimadu 99% on snes rondo being bad except the snes version of richters theme goes hard way better
The best Castlevania games are the Igavania games starting with Symphony of the Night up to Order of Ecclesia.
The best nonKonami Castlevania game is the hinging on copyright infringement Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest. LOL
Bro you COOKED with this video
Thanks bro
❤
Ethier I'm misremembering or you missed something because I recall at the end Maria running after Alcuard after he leaves
I just looked it up, and apparently, I didn't explore enough of the Castles to get the true ending. Even though I explored almost every part of em.
Castlevania 4 is also really good .
That's the game I'm looking forward to the most after playing these two.
Nah fr tho, you sound a lot more animated now👍🏾
Yeah, i wanted to get better with my voice. Tryna get better with each video I make
@@PrimeShiem I can see it. Keep it up ma boy
Iframes are really helpful in a pinch☝️🤓
You right🌚
