- How Firm a Foundation (Harp)
Text: Attr. to Robert Keen, ca. 1787
Music: Attr. to J. Ellis, ca. 1889
Arr. for harp by Adia
…
I arranged this piece as part of a religion class project. This song uses passages in the Old Testament from the prophet Isaiah, where God tells His people to not be afraid. He will be with them and strengthen them. The two verses of the hymn I thought of while practicing this piece were 3 and 7:
“Fear not, I am with thee; oh, be not dismayed,
For I am thy God and will still give thee aid.
I’ll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand,
Upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand.”
“The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose
I will not, I cannot, desert to his foes;
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I’ll never, no never, no never forsake!”

Sounds so soothing! Nice work!
Great job!
Beautiful! Do you have sheet music for it by any chance?
I don't, but I arranged it based off of this sheet music www.churchofjesuschrist.org/media/music/songs/how-firm-a-foundation?crumbs=hymns&lang=eng and if I remember write I kept it in the same key and just changed a few chords
