FDNY Engine 48 and Division 7 respond to Box 3712

We are at quarters of FDNY Engine 48, ladder 56, and Division 7 at 2417 Webster Avenue, where we see the Engine and the Chief respond to Box 3712 all the way up in Riverdale at 555 Kappock Street between Netherland Avenue and Johnson Avenue for a 10-75, which had just gone to a 10-77. For some reason, the Division 7 Messenger car also responds. About 46 seconds into the video, you can hear the tones go off again for Ladder 56, which was 10-8 and returning to quarters at the time. Their call was for Box 3379 at 2709 Briggs Avenue for an emergency-other, possibly a non-structural call such as a stuck elevator or something like that. The location would have been in the area of Engine 79 and Ladder 37, but since they were both probably operating at Box 3712, the call fell on Ladder 56 instead. Engine 48 is a 2015 KME Severe Service Predator. Division 7 is a 2009 GMC Odyssey 2500HD. Ladder 56 is a 2013 Ferrara Ultra with a 100 foot rear mount stick. Thanks very much for posting the video. You did an excellent job. I also appreciate the infornation that you gave on the details of the dispatch as I am avid fire fan and I am really into the New York City FIre Department as well as several others. I myself am from Chicago however I know more about the New York City FIre Department then your average Chicago FIre Fan.

It’s a far way from Fordham to Riverdale, it’s 5 kilometers from their quarters at 2417 Webster Avenue to 555 Kappock Street, I actually have a T shirt from Engine 48 and Ladder 56 and it’s an old one too. This fire is passed Mosholu Avenue and passed Mosholu Parkway as well, I’ve never been on Kappock Street but I’ve been in Riverdale a number of times since I’m from Southern Westchester County in Eastchester located at 28 Manchester Road Apt 2L, also if you see my cousin Brian or my cousin Johnny on your day out in the city tell them I said hi.

what type of communicaton system does FDNY use ? P25, analog? just curious .
