i am so grateful good people like you do these films to help folk like me . you give me so much more information than i can get from surgeons etc . your a good man .
It's amazing how calm he is about the whole situation. If something like that ever happened me, I'd be freaking out and crying. What's scaring me even more is last night I had a dream where my right leg got amputated for some reason. When I woke up I looked the meaning of it and it means I will lose something in the future. My dad has had dreams that did predict the future, and the dream I had was extremely realistic. I just hope I never have to amputate any of my limbs for any reason. I hope your recovery process went well after the surgery. Having legs is something most people take for granted, but I know I won't take my feet and legs for granted anymore. I feel lucky to have limbs, especially considering how about 2 million Americans have amputated limbs. Again, I do hope your recovery process went well.
You sound just like me. When I was home, I wanted to get up & go to the bathroom & know I can’t do that move @ this time. Interesting procedure. I wish they had done this!
+Wally Ruland its been put off till march . dont want to bore you but its nerve damage from my spine that has wasted my leg . its very complicated so needs 8 full teams and 3 consultants to do the operation and after care so managing to get them all together is a logistical nightmare . starting to get very worried it will dislocate and break before the operation which would be a really problem for a prosthetic afterwards so very much on edge . thank you for asking that was very kind . i have never looked forward to something so much in my life .
David Harrison you're not boring me at all. there's different reasons people become amputees so I like to know why the amputation was needed. I still haven't a prosthetic but I'm actually happier without my foot and the part of my leg that's missing. they were absolutely useless.
Jaden Keener it’s one of those things you can’t handle at first. Then after some time you learn to except it and try to help other people through your pain. For example I have Ulcerative Colitis. Sometimes it hurts so bad I can’t think straight. But I still go to work and deal as best I can. I’ve been told by coworkers they see me and it motivates them to work harder.
That is exactly the problem im having . Dragging a useless lump around all the time is causing major problems with my spine and if it breaks before the operation i will be in a world of pain . not normally a worrier but this is scaring the hell out of me .
i thank god i live in England and the whole process is being done by the NHS . Thank god they exist . i would have been dead 24 years ago and i have had well over20 operations two thirds on my spine. i have no idea what this operation will cost but its telephone numbers just for the operation without the pre care and the tons of post care i will need and the prostheses is around 60k plus . i have worked my entire life and only retired a couple of years back so have paid towards my cover my entire life but i am sure the cost is massive compared to what i have paid . i am so very lucky .
I'm still having trouble with getting around when I only have crutches for mobility. they amputated halfway between my ankle and my knee. I still only have crutches and my stump. thank you for the tip about phantom pain because it hurts.
Wally Ruland it’s exactly where I have my leg amputated. Crutches suck! But stick with it. Once you start walking things will look up. But to be honest, it’s not over yet. Fit is everything with your prosthesis! So find a great prosthetist!
Andrew Montgomery thanks Andrew. I'm not sure if or when I'll get a prosthetic. right now I'm just trying to get by with only crutches and the empty space where my leg was.
Andrew Montgomery I understand but I was barely able to afford the amputation itself. I don't have any money for a prosthetic or anything else. I had my leg amputated in Mexico because I couldn't afford the cost of amputation here.

Positive thoughts, don't even imagine losing limbs. You won't. And don't believe everything you read on the Internet.
Imagine thinking dreams can predict the future 🤡

i am getting my keft leg off above the knee in january . thank you for your post . your a hero .
David Harrison how did your amputation go? even though it sucks welcome to the amputee family.

David Harrison if you want you can email me. you need to talk to current amputees and I somewhat recently became one so my experience is pretty fresh.
+Wally Ruland that would be very helpful . thank you . what is the process for a prosthetic limb ?
I don't know how people can have their leg token off that a whole responsibility God bless y'all

David Harrison make sure they amputate the correct amount. I almost had to have a second amputation.
+Wally Ruland ow dear you have had it rough . so sorry . your a brave man .

Wally Ruland the sooner you can close that gap, the better it will be. No use putting yourself through crutches for longer than you have to!

Wally Ruland Do you have medical insurance? What state are you located in?
why did they have to amputate? any tips for a soon to be an amputee? my foot is getting amputated next week.
why was it amputated?
Lean GroundBeef i wonder why
My boyfriend of 11 years is a double amputee. We just broke up. Dont get mean!! He was mean to me. That's crazy.... the phantom pains.
