- The Spurs run a terrific play called the loop to absolute perfection and it is very effective. The loop is a triple staggered screen which Tony Parker excels at.

Such a great offense. I feel like Steve Kerr bases a lot of his offensive schemes off of what he learned with the Spurs. There seems to be a lot of similarities, especially with this play.
Underrated play. Teams will learn how to defend but it's a very valuable play still.
Yup you’ll see Curry making cuts like Parker often times
I have no idea why the kings don't run this more now with fox and heild they have the perfect backcourt to do it and this play was what made Tony Parker so effective
Great video. Just getting into basketball again after a while away. Nice having these primers.
Brilliant analysis. I will use this this season.
Really, really good stuff, Daniel. I'm just switching over from being super into baseball into basketball (statistical revolution/SportVU what made me change over)..that and I think we can all agree it's much easier to track all the NBA players than their MLB counterparts (not to mention when prospects come into play). A question for you:
Is there a way I should be watching this to discern the full play? I am getting better at not ball watching but it's still hard to sniff out the "fluff" and the true action of the play. Do you have to watch most plays multiple times or eventually can you train your brain to watch the whole floor?
Thanks, and you do an amazing job!
Derek Fuselier Hey Derek, watch the whole floor but of course the ball. Really with more time watching you'll be able to see the whole floor no need to watch a play twice.
Great video as usual. Keep up the good work on the channel!
Coming back to this now just to say GS took this play and used it to perfection against the Celtics.
Thanks
They should use this with Paul
