It was a typo on my part. I meant he is for private tyrannies having power. He wants private power to run the country directly without government in the way. That's a huge tyranny.
Wikileeks is our only hope of providing truth to our public. The documents sent to Wikileeks were gifts from people who didn't want to loose their job by going against those above them who have taken their power over the lines written in our constitution that provide vigilance against anyone or group over powering anyone else....and of course the lines that hope we can ever become a more perfect union.
If the US is able to get Assange, and the US media doesn't stand up against this, and if one day the US media published any secretive from another country I just hope that country will prosecute them.
Western governments are far too fond of secrecy. In order for democracy to work we need information to base our voting choices on. Without that information we may as well go into the voting booth and pick a candidate at random.
Wasn't so long ago that Perle - you know, the neocon sufflee guy - called Sy Hersh "the closest thing we have to a terrorist." That's what happens when you blow the story on the My Lai massacre.
@3101010 and those soldiers in the video and their superiors should be charged with murder, and the us army should be charged internationally for using torture, and not respecting human life and human rights, and for the intervention in a country´s affairs when they have not been called.
@bbbbmer; Fixing an economy is more important than getting Cheney, Bush, and Rice to sit in the dock. Also, you or anybody else can't expect Obama to solve all of what George Bush caused in just one year or four.
@djtrixen You suggest Assange clearly had bad intentions. What do you think Assange's motives were and what evidence do you have to support your accusation? He does not appear to be an enemy of the American public to me. If anyone put Americans in harms way, it was our government, not Assange. Are you at all angry with the government officials who lied to us, or is just Assange who is at fault in your opinion?
Lying to get to war? What are you talking about? I assume not Ron Paul since he advocates no international policy. Lot of people talk like he just doesn't know what policy is good. Fact is, he says DON'T HAVE A FOREIGN POLICY. Get out of those countries and leave them alone. We don't even do ok on the homefront, so why the hell spread the shit? No point invading other places.
Unions are a symptom of a structure already fucked up. That's why he doesn't support unions as a BASE structure that should be needed. They shouldn't be needed. Employers should treat workers right instead. In a free market, movement from job to job is much more fluid as well. I see so many comments like yours and you should know that socialism is insane. Over and over people try to make pigs fly. It is a bad idea. Keep or trade what YOU produce. You don't get to force anyone to share. Sorry.
I like you and your movies even though we often disagree. You're a funny guy and a respect your art, but this is dangerous territory you're dabbling in here. Totally uncool of you to put up bail money for this guy, Mr. Moore. He's an enemy of our country and his motives are clear. Regardless of your position on our government's involvement in any war, you shouldn't be helping our enemies get the upper hand. I hope that's not your motive. If it is, you've lost a fan.
1:15 "Has caused no known harm to any individual but it has caused embarrassment to our government."
3:08 "Before me no one had ever been indicted for sharing information with the public."
6:20 "An American Hero".
Ron Paul never ceases to amaze me! God bless him.
The most dangerous person is the honest person. They cannot be bought and have humble intention.
"UnConstitutional?" Like that'll stop the government!
3:50 the espionage act may become an “official secrets act” like the British have
love Ron Paul
1:09 Ron Paul
Good on Ron Paul.
good to see that not all media organizations are lapdogs.
olbermann :thumbsup:
Yep. Good work. :)
I would like to see the order of battle that the fusion centers have on the domestic freedom fighters.

@agitcam: If the 'Fed' were ended, how would the nation's money be kept stable?

@thesparitan so true old son...if you let these sods get away with crapping on the CONSTUTION,your screwed in a big way!

I heard they even released Santa's naughty list! Don't piss off the man in red.
Why is all the news in US a "War on _something_"?
@Prunesqualer well...thats actually what most people do.

Zeroth!

why would u not want to control private tyrannies?

@tarektabbara
The leaks wont stop and neither will we, the supporters. "I love crushing bastards" Julian Assange. :]]]]
@nathanjamesbaker Take Ron Paul with a grain of salt. Lest you start talking about the gold standard and federal reserve.
isnt the unapologetically large number of iraqis who died worth a mention?
@bbbbmer .'Right on' leebm29
