Hey everyone, the purpose of this video is to present all the available information that I am seeing as it relates to what's happening geologically at the moment, especially in the Aegean Sea with the Santorini Earthquake Swarm. I thought carefully about the surface messaging (thumbnail, title) and while I hope I am wrong and nothing happens, I would rather err on the side of caution than calm. The situation right now is just too eerily similar to Feb 2023 and this seismic swarm itself is already SUPER UNUSUAL and a BIG signal of something happening in-and-of-itself. Add to that the pre-earthquake signals, the upcoming full Moon, and the Uranus square.... This is so interesting. I lived in Eureka, California in 1992, working in a physical therapy clinic. On April 24th, I was with a patient mid afternoon and told my patient, “we’re going to have an earthquake”. He asked how I knew that and responded that something was extremely odd in the atmosphere…a strange, gray stillness on a clear, sunny day. I called my family in Colorado that night and told them I was certain we were about to have an earthquake. At a little after 8 am on April 25th, we had a 7.2 earthquake that resulted in 3 feet of coastal uplift and massive g forces. We had 2 more earthquakes; 6.8 and 6.4 over the next 18 hours. They were not aftershocks and were 3 separate events on the triple junction. Everyone was shocked that I knew. I was glad I actually voiced my premonition. Animals know and I truly believe humans have the ability to sense electromagnetic changes if they are simply in tune. Thile event was not predicted and there were no warnings as there are here.

I now live in the south and lived in Cali for 22+ years. I can feel them here. Which makes me rather uncomfortable because in SC we are in a large earthquake fault. 😮😢.

I have never seen pre-earthquake signals that significant. That is extremely concerning, I totally agree with getting this message out. If a big one hits, it’s going to be BIG. Let’s hope that it doesn’t happen, but better to be prepared than caught off guard!!
Animals give very clear signals when an earthquake is about to hit. Humans should oay more attention tp the signals nature as a whole gives

I read this account form a researcher:
supervolcano eruption of Thera (Sanotorini's ancient name which means 'Island of fear'). I researched volcanology for several years for my book especially Thera's last eruption. I am as knowledgeable about it as anyone can be.
Bob Ballard actually dived at the site and was horrified to find that it had been a VEl 8. What made it so bad was the magma being flooded with seawater as it erupted.
Thera's eruption in 1600 BC was a VEI 8 (volcanic explosivity index) which is a scale used to measure the size of explosive volcanic eruptions, a VEl 8 is as bad as it gets, kids.
For reference, the Vesuvius eruption that destroyed Pompeii in 79 AD was a VEI 5 and it covered Pompei with ash and pumice 19 to 23 feet deep. The last Thera eruption covered what is now Santorini in ash and pumice 1,200 feet deep!
It generated probably 20ish megatsunamis 900 feet tall! This wiped out the Minoans on Crete ending their centuries long Empire.
Ancient records in Egypt and China contain references to smoky dusty skies for months and 3 years without a summer. This was a global event. The
island of Cyprus has a narrow point pointing to southeastern Turkey and Northwest Syria that is shaped like a funnel. That's where the tsunamis will be the worst, it funnels all that energy and water into that narrow shallow bay and that will force the water to rise possibly thousands of feet high. There's more to fear than just Santorini having some hotels and houses falling down the cliff!
If this eruption is like the last one then no place near the shore of the Mediterranean is safe. Leave now why you can. Good luck to you all.
The Minoans were the first thing I thought of when I heard about Santorini. When Thera erupted they were in the process of rebuilding from a major earthquake that had recently happened! Even if these quakes aren't volcanic themselves, I'd be very nervous they may shake something loose/make the ground thinner over the magma chamber.

Campi Fliegri is another place of serious concern. It is also "hot". Its last eruption of magnitude is suspected of ending Neandarthal man as a stand alone race. Roughly 40,000 years ago. It's due as well.

I truly enjoyed visiting Oia and Santorini. The caldera, hotels in the mountain caves, the stark white-painted structures with the blue-capped churches and dark blue sea-the colors were SO vivid. The food, the people, the lifestyle-all intriguing. I can't imagine this beautiful place not being in tact or destroyed. 😭😭😭

I visited Crete many years ago and there was an earthquake. Thankfully nothing major but it was still scary at the time..the whole villa shaking, things falling off the tables.. not knowing if it’s going to get worse. Probably only lasted about 15 seconds but it felt much longer! I hope everyone can get to safety and there’s no loss of life! ❤️
Pretty routine the further east of Iraklion you venture. When even tourist info mentions quakes, you know they're not something travel agents can pretend they don't know about.

I am really interested in seeing what has been communicated to the local communities over the past month. As a geotechnical engineer one key thing that I always look out for is when the ‘normal’ changes / things behave differently. For example, if these earthquake clusters were normal - even say once every 2 - 3 years etc, without anything changing, then the response to that should be standard. However, once the earthquakes number, frequency and magnitude changes, then so should the level of alert and in turn, the planned response.
According to French news, population has been fleeing the island for the past several days. More ferries have been used to help evacuating. Some Tourists remain. Those who don’t know what an earthquake is, no doubt
@@martine3884I’ve been watching a channel that has been covering this and she’s been challenging the initial government response for awhile. In the last couple of days she was saying that about 40% of the island’s population are still there. That’s one of the risks when the government doesn’t respond quickly enough, it can lull people into complacency so they don’t respond fast enough when they should. Ideally, this settles down and it becomes a non-event. However, just now if I lived on Santorini (which I do want to do), I’d be vacating.

There is another important aspect of the increase in volcanic activity across the globe that I feel must be addressed:

Almost every Christian believe group has at least had a dozen or so "predictions" of the apocalypse and none of them has been true. I live in Europe and people here have been Christians for over 2000 years - much time for predictions and much time to learn that we don't know anything.

Now in a relatively earthquake-free state, I still check the USGS map every morning. I am compelled by the information in this video, and will be looking for the result of your analysis. I also found the drawing in of the star pattern amazing, I hadn't considered that force before.

Im feeling sick. It was a strange night. Strange energies felt and rumours in the night. A noice that looks like a something was crashing in the air. We also had snow last night. Im living in the Netherlands. When there was the big tsunami in japan in the early 2000s i couldnt walk straight and could only lay on the ground and cry. Trying to hold myself in consciousness. I had no tv or radio, several days later i heard from the tsunami. If you are very connected this all can be felt. I have this all my life. Sometimes i do groceries i get the messages there are earthquakes. My body have a mechanism thats going in the stabilizing mode. But now its blurry. Stay safe for everyone in all those areas where its very moving. For the other ones try to stabilizer the movement. When we are doing this with a lot of people i think it will work. Lots of love ❤

It's interesting that the coming full moon (12 February) which will square Uranus in the fixed quadruplicity (Leo/Aquarius/Taurus) is similar to the strong earthquakes of August-September 1999 in Izmit (Turkey) and Athens (Greece). In August 1999 there was a solar eclipse in Leo, which was squared by Mars and Saturn once again in the fixed quadruplicity (Leo/Taurus/Scorpio). I believe however that the intensity of that planetary configuration is stronger than the one that will occur within 48-72 hours. All we can do is to monitor these critical days.
This is shaping up to possibly be an historical disaster unseen in modern times. I’m very concerned about that whole area including Italy, Greece, all the islands, and Turkey, maybe also Syria. Too much persistent activity there and too many other influences concurrently impacting the area. Seems like the plates may have a massive shove covering many miles and the volcano blowing too, maybe even both volcanoes, since the tectonics could affect them both.

Remember what happened a few years ago in La Palma when the ground did the exact same thing started rumbling 5-point earthquakes 5.0 4.9 and then boom it erupted for like 90 days straight I remember watching it every night on the the cams they had them from the island watching The Fountains of lava but this is a different deal it blows up from the ocean bottom up it's going to create a lot of havoc
La Palma is on top of a well known, concentrated and periodically active magma thing. It was clear that it was causing all the vibrations. Not at all the exact same thing.

there is an animal shelter there and lots of stray animals on Santorini, many people even left behind their animals, there is a couple who stayed there in their animal shelter and since they can not take all animals with the, they are not leaving the island.

@@AmyB369 when people started to evacuate the ship companies raised the prices to the tickets and from 50 euros it gone above 150. And if you have animals too it must be extra so they created a very hard situation for the people. My heart breaks for the animals there

I live in Athens and I felt most of the tremors, even the weaker ones.
Most of the city buildings are build in the late 60s and 70’s and a great earthquake will definitely affect Athens.
Also most of the mainstream media are reassuring the population that the earthquake sequence is fading.
There’s enough people and even some curious tourists left on the island of Santorini and on the rest of the close distance islands to the epicentre.

Living in north of Greece I’m wondering how big that aftermath tsunami will be. Hopefully everyone is safe and nothing happens. But this event has never happened in my lifetime. The earth is sending signals something is happening over there. Hopefully this will not affect the tourist season, which sadly I think it will.
There is no reason to expect an earthquake of magnitude 7.6 or bigger anytime soon there, and that's what it would take to make a notable tsunami. (Note that the Mediterranean 7.6 quake made some one-inch waves.) Magnitude 7.6 is more than a thousand times bigger than the biggest (5.6) one in the Santorini vicinity lately.

If either an oceanic earthquake of magnitude 7.0 or above, or a volcanic eruption occurs, it's very bad news for Santorini and surrounding islands in the Aegean. There will be many tourists there. Santorini, of course, is what remains of the larger island that was there around 1450 BC. That eruption blew the middle out of the island, created the caldera we see there today, and generated tsunamis that devastated the northern coast of Crete, among other places. Whether a volcanic eruption or an oceanic earthquake of magnitude 7.0 or over, devastating tsunamis would occur. I live in Cagayan de Oro Mindanao Philippines. Mindanao, and the Philippines in general, are very active geologically. The largest earthquake recorded in the Philippines was offshore from Cotabato on the west coast of Mindanao. It happened in 1976, in August I think. It was variously reported to have been magnitude 8.0 or 7.9. Regardless, because it was oceanic in origin, not only the devastation caused by the earthquake itself, but also by the tsunami that followed, caused the death of upwards of 10,000 people. Back then, there were no warnings. I hope your warning reaches the people in the Aegean, Stefan, especially those in Santorini, Crete, and nearby islands. They should consider either evacuation or at the very least moving to high ground. It's not worth taking the risk of ignoring such a warning. It's also true that in recent months the earth here in the Philippines has been very quiet. Quakes above magnitude 4.0 have been few and far between. That's unusual. We are pretty much on the opposite side of the planet to the Aegean.

I've been saying that people should leave from there simply because its better to be safe than sorry . I know many old people will never leave and the government doesn't make it easy for them to leave.. They should have paid everyones ride to get the hell away not to do nothing and let the private companies increase their tickets prices x2 the default price.

The 2023 event was involving different plate with a different tectonic setting. That was the Arabian plate slipping past the Anatolian plate. This is the African Plate subduction under the Aegean Plate with complexities of rollback causing thinning of the crust. Not sure one can be used to model the other.

All the tectonic plates are moving and have been increasing in the number and intensity over the past 15+ years, according to QuakeFeed. I live in Yellowstone, so do monitor Earth’s movements..
@@yellowstonekat It's geomagnetic shifting. Did my thesis on this 45 years ago. When there are multiple conditions then multiple events happen that are compounded into catastrophes. Such as with Extinction events and tectonic lava flows coupling with Impact events? The question arises as to which came first, the chicken or the egg and to what extent do these multiple events compounds into to greater impacts upon the Earth? There are so many variables that quantum computing is required to sort this all out properly into a realistic and coherent picture. Such as this new Religious Doctrine of "Man-made Climate Change" Hoax. We don't have the computing power to even come close to describing let alone predicting climate change, and ABSOLUTELY could NOT ascertain if it has anything to do with carbon emissions!!

thank you! I've been feeling like a bigger EQ was coming to Greece. The other night just after the 8.0 Quake in Cayman Islands, Greece had 4 or 5 quakes within 1 hour. Your post earlier today, about Santorini possibly having a new volcano, was an interesting theory. I do, however, being a survivor of the Northridge Earthquake, want to throw my 2 cents in, for what it's worth, about an experience that I had in 1994. I'm a lay geophysics buff and geology lover(and Rocker)...the week just before the Northridge quake in January of 1994, there was a swarm of 5 - 5.0 range earthquakes in Santa Monica CA... I had been extremely out of character that week before as well. I lived in Burbank at the time. When that Northridge Quake hit, it was insane. I really don't believe that it was only a 6.7. I had been through previous heavy quakes just a couple years previous, Landers / Big Bear 1992 (I think) at about 8am just about an hour apart from each other. Those were 6'+s. Those were pretty intense. Have you ever done a show on the series of events leading up to and about the 1994 Northridge Quake. I'd be very fascinated by it, especially with the detail and the many facets of information that you go into surrounding these events, with the Astronomy etc.

@@ChristopherJewels indeed I live by the sea (my house is just 100 metres of the shore) . I've packed some essentials in a bag and we have a place at my wifes village inland , but the my job is here and it's difficult to leave it... Let's just hope for the best ...
@@yanniskouretas8688 I've been to Iraklion and Knossos. A beautiful part of Greece with a fascinating history. Yes expect the worst and plan for it but hope for the best. Keep a close eye on the USGS recent earthquake sites and vlogs like this one. Anything over 7.6 is dangerous. Amorgos in 1956 was 7.7.
