    Regarding the use of the term aboriginal to describe Silver Fox, I was using it interchangeably with the word indigenous. The term has been applied to natives in Canada in the past, but I admit it was a poor choice of words, as people more often associate the word aboriginal with Native Australians. In this case, because she is an Indigenous Canadian, the term First Nations would have been more appropriate. I apologize for any confusion or offense this may have caused.

    My childhood superhero. I love the Wolverine story until the mid 90s. To be exact until X-Men: "Fatal Attractions". The mystery of Logan's past was so cool back then, not so mixed up. He met and fought alongside Captain America in WW2 when he was in his 20s. He worked for the CiA in the 1960s with Victor Creed and Maverick to stop the completion of Omega Red. There they found out that they were mutants too when the much bigger, Victor, grabbed both Logan and Maverick and jumped off a ten story building to escape the life force sucking mutant Russian super soldier. After the failed mission, Logan attacked Victor for killing their double agent, Janice, whom Logan love. Victor felt so betrayed by Logan after he had saved Logan in the mission. Best buddies turned bitter enemies. Logan left the CIA after that. Then the Silver Fox murder. Then Logan was kidnapped for the Weapon X project.

      I agree that Fatal Attractions was the end for Wolverine in the 90's. I wish Magneto magnetically used Logan as a puppet and forced him to kill a major character. They could have used that as a way to evolve his character rather than change him into an uninteresting caveman with no nose

    • @danny2554
      @danny2554 Год назад +3

      @@Fosterchild56 Exactly. That was the time I lost interest in the X-Men comics and in Marvel. All of a sudden so many Marvel characters have fast healing powers, regeneration they call it. Back in the day, only Wolverine and Sabretooth can do that, what made them so interesting and forces to be reckoned with. Nowadays, strong guys like the Hulk and many more have fast regeneration powers to heal themselves if they get wounded, whatever happened to their invulnerability. And then the multiverse fame made everything even more like a fairly tale, stories that don't connect. Wolverine died after the 90s for sure.

      Main reason why no one’s tried is because you could theoretically start and end almost anywhere in Logan’s life and it’s never really the beginning or end because he’s just old as dirt. It’s really hard to write a story about a guy who doesn’t really age and has a story that spans decades and decades. At least trying to do ALL of this in one movie is pretty inconceivable.

      I agree with both replies. But one approach is to prioritize his timeline and insert in the several movies they develop. Like I had no idea he had dealings with Romanoff. Imagine him appearing in her movie ina flash back. His long life would play in out in pieces and develop his significance in the MCU. There’s real opportunity there.

    • @sergiomendoza4850
      @sergiomendoza4850 Год назад

      @@darelljohnson5696 they might just do this anyways with mutants in general not just Logan. I mean consider that Wanda Maximoff in the mcu was (technically) a mutant and went completely unnoticed by other mutants and pretty much everyone until hydra took her and she broke her own captivity.
      I’d imagine when we finally get the X-men it’s going to go very similarly for a lot of them because whoever Charles Xavier is in the MCU, he’s actively not looking for mutants and trying to protect them at his school at least as of right now he’s not so they gotta find a reason to write around where the hell he’s been, which tbh I don’t think they can not in a way that makes any sense.

    What i LOVE about Wolverine is that he is so tragic, he is short and feels pain., he doesn´t have super strength., and he really fights with all his guts., he not always win, and he is very stubborn... he is not perfect but he is still a hero, he is not an antihero, although he is a very hurt man, with lots of psychological pain, he is still a good person

      Actually he has super strength, if you are going to read his earlier solo issues. With his super strength, he can manage to move faster with his adamantium bones within him. During a bar fight, he managed to lift a guy larger than him. That is one of his overlooked abilities in the comics and in the movies

He didn't have superhuman strength before the time I stopped collecting comics on a regular basis. I think the heaviest thing I've seen in comics he could lift was a motorcycle. They did make his healing factor crazy ever since magneto pulled adamantium out his skeleton and its gotten more ridiculous as the years since then . Healing factor on a molecular level.

Yes, the brain was removed, thus Technically killing our favorite badass; but as things always go in the comics, he survived 💪 👍, yet to fight on another day. I love when he fell asleep in his pickup truck 🛻 only to wake up in a compactor as it starts to crush it. He cut out of there in a hurry. Very well done thank you so much! I was always a little flabbergasted, as were my friends growing up, at Wolverine and his mutant ability to heal. We were always wondering where he got the adamantium skeleton and claws. It wasn't until Origin came out and showed the bone claws. In a way, this ruined many stories about Wolverine that had come before hand. I remember a series of comics that showcased Marvel's heroes and villains and their gadgets. Spider-Man's web shooters and buggy, all of the Fantastic Four's flying machines and building. And of course Wolverine's skeleton and his claws that retracted in an almost spring-loaded fashion?
    I really am looking forward to his appearance in the MCU movies. I really do hope they condensed his origin story into something a little less complicated and more fluid.

      Wolverine has changed a lot from where he originally started, after all, his claws were meant to be part of his gloves but then it was revealed that they were a part of him. The original canon is my Wolverine. Here's the truth for those who wish to know it. Wolverine had no claws until Weapon X. Before Magneto ripped the heated adamantium off Wolverine's bones, his claws were SOLID adamantium. Only after what Magneto had done did Wolverine's healing factor go crazy trying to repair the damage of the adamantium being ripped off his bones. Since he had his adamantium claws for so long, his body and healing factor actually grew bone claws to replace what it was used to. He also started developing into a more animalistic looking mutant kind of like sabertooth as his adamantium coated bones were the only thing keeping his mutancy from progressing.
