Ah well, the search for my HG foundation is on.
One which was close to perfection, but unfortunately has been discontinued, was the Prescriptives Virtual Skin. Prescriptives shut down years ago. However, this was an Estee Lauder brand, I wish EL would bring it back under their own brand.

I’m 53 with normal to dry skin and I prefer the Dior Matte way over the glow version

It's funny - I rarely return anything (bad habit) and I'm not sure if it would make me less likely to buy something or if it is more of a dare! lol - in this case, it gave me the guts to return it since apparently everyone else is too.... so while I think they're trying to deter purchases it might have the opposite effect and make people more comfortable returning things.

Oh! I have wanted to try this for months!! Lucky for me, we (you and I) have the same skin tone. Interesting about the warning. I'm so glad they've started including that. I have been thinking that this would be very translucent,sheer. I think I like my Kosas skin tint better it looks okay but I know I'd look ghostly 👻 Shellie do you make a rosemary balm or cream? ❤
My only rosemary stuff so far is in my shampoo bars but I'll look into doing a balm or cream with it!!

I know if I could afford them I would definitely buy the whole set. Their are some really unique brushes. Oh man, thank you so much for saving me from that mess! I have drier skin than you and I know that whole dries-to-a-powder BS ends up with me scrubbing down my face in a public restroom. Also, that is quite the soulful kitteh. Looks like a Russian Blue mix? They are notoriously needy!

Hi Shelley this is a European skincare brand (focused on grapes so similar to Caudalie). They used to only have one “universal” shade aka medium, so the expansion of shades is new. You used way too much I believe as I saw it demonstrated on UK QVC many times and they only used a small amount and really buffed it in. Cream to powder rarely works on very dry skin, but this is a popular product for people with normal or combination skin I believe. I hope that helps. I have seriously dry skin and know nothing matte or cream to powder ever works for my skin, they’re just not hydrating enough and end up looking ghastly by the end of the day. I do think you used about four times as much as recommended 😂, so maybe you were a bit generous in application. Best wishes x

YESSSSSSSS I just shivered lol.
I got the M Asam Magic Finish in the original shade, whatever that is. I didn’t see a porcelain. I liked it but it was a tad too dark. I personally like it as a primer more than coverage. But for me it was mostly because it was too dark and I had to use a VERY thin layer to make it work for my pale a$$ at all. So might try the porcelain shade!
Wooo! F! We don't get these very often. Fun to try these obscure ones, find a diamond in the ruff. Perhaps if you don't have skin and use it for wall spackle!

Thanks for the review! This brand appeared in Germany several months ago with a quite aggressive advertising, so I was very skeptical. You can also buy it here in the drug stores, but there are no testers, everything packaged in the same brown boxes, and the price is not drug store level. So I've never seen people even close to the shelf
Interesting!! I saw it in a couple places, a few makeup people on TikTok pushing it and it was listed in a couple of those "must have from Amazon" roundups. Figured I'd see what I was missing.... I find it odd that the page on Amazon didn't really have anything about the company or its European roots. I wonder if it's another case of counterfeits on Amazon.

Reviews on Amazon can be so crazy! But really, it’s the same everywhere. I can NOT stand people who review with “Love it,” “hate it,” “can’t wait to use it,” ones complaining about it not doing something that it never claimed to do (like complaining it’s sheer and not full coverage when it said that it was sheer coverage) or complaining about something it said it was (like that it’s full coverage and they complain about that), or the ones who complain saying they want a return (like open one then, why you writing a review?!). I honestly don’t get people wasting their time doing it for that crap! I always look for longer reviews because they usually give good details. I always review things I buy since I use reviews so often before buying and always try to mention things I would want to know before buying. So I look for reviews like that. But it’s crazy the ones mixed in there! 😂😂

I’ll pass on this one! Just ordered backups of my beloved ELDW in my summer/winter shades 1C0 Shell and 1C1 Cool Bone. I think I’m near the point where I should give up on new foundations, as nothing seems to wow me anymore. I’ll stick with my ELDW, Missha BB Cream, and Haus Labs… For now… 😂

I'm not surprised it was a patchy mess--primer, foundation, concealer, powder all in one?! Yeah right--"it's a dessert topping AND a floor wax!" (Chevy Chase-era SNL, dating myself big time) Plus side, your hair is awesome! In conclusion, I only have half as many cats as you do and there is ALWAYS a hair on my nose, usually those fine little wavy undercoat hairs!

Its ok that Americans are on the „no fragrance „ trip… but i know a looot of Europeans… i am an European…. they wouldn’t never buy something that smells not good… we are not afraid of fragrance 😂
It's funny here because of course there are scare tactics around various ingredients (which isn't totally unfounded, as the EU is much better at protecting people than the US, but we cancel things with no context a lot of the time) - so the fact that fragrance ingredients can sensitize skin made a lot of people cancel fragrance... but then people smell what a product smells like without added fragrance and they don't like it and you can't have it both ways! lol

I think this is a big no for me. No offense to you, Shelly, but it looks very heavy on your face. Perhaps one of the reasons for high customer returns is the fact that there are only 5 shades.
