How to fix Smart Audio Popup Error A Conexant audio device could not be found. The application will now exit on Windows 10.

BIG thank you! But a word of caution also, that may only apply to some people: While doing everything suggested here did get rid of the error popups for me, I later found that no one could hear me through my Lenovo E595's microphone, and none of the usual troubleshooting worked. Turned out it was because I had disabled the CxAudioSvc Service per this video. So I had to set the CxAudioSvc Service back to Automatic and restart it. HOWEVER, I have left CxUtilSvc disabled, and that has been enough to keep the Popup from returning. So this was still a big help.

So just so I'm clear, leave the _"CxAudioSvc"_ checked, but uncheck/disable _"CxUtilSvc",_ correct?

type services.msc on your start menu laptop, run as administrator find name CxAudioSvc and CxUtlSvc (stop and disable this services on startup type.
