My baby steps... I batch cook and at the end of the week, not only am I sick if eating the same food, but I have food leftover. in the past, I would just throw out whats left. BUT..... last week, I had 6 meatballs left from a batch of 24 I made. I decided to freeze them even though I was sick of eating meatballs. LOL. welllllll, today, I decided to have spaghetti alfredo...and I took 3 meatballs out of the freezer and it was delicious!!! I didnt have to cook chicken or shrimp to go along with it and so I saved money!!! YAY FOR ME!!!

I purchased the e-course on Wednesday. I wanted to have mine printed and bound for $5 like Heidi but Kinkos was charging $35 so I passed. Today I printed off the cookbook at home and used what I had (sheet protectors from school last year & a notebook). Can't wait to go thru it and make plans. I've watched 3 videos too. This is hard for me because cooking isn't my bent but I'm trying.

Love these tips! One way I keep my produce/deli drawers clean is by folding up tea towels and putting them on the bottom. Then I can just throw them in the wash instead of having to scrub drawers.

Okay, you've peeked my interest enough I broke down and bought the e-course. Not sure what extra I'll really learn but I honestly love all your videos (im pretty sure my husband is sick of me ALWAYS listening to them lol). I've already cut my groceries down from easily $200 a week to $50 by intently listening so I figure even if I dont get too much more new info (although is seems like I will) I would gladly pay you another 12.50 for all the help you've already given out!

Love the clean the frig idea. If you have more left in the frig to use up than you can you. You can freeze some of it. For example. I have peppers I didn’t use up. I am going to make stuffed peppers and freeze the extra for later . Since I live alone, it will work for me.

I have stopped putting opened jars of salsa for tacos in the fridge, I put them in the freezer, for the next time I need them. I was constantly throwing away salsa in opened jars from the fridge, but not anymore. Maybe not the most $ spent, but I like to use it instead of throwing it away. Also, I shred cheese that needs to be eaten, and freeze them into zipper plastic bags, perfect for pizzas and tacos.

When I moved into my home I needed a fridge and I bought one by LG that is 2 ft by 2 ft by 76 inches tall. I know that I have a habit of losing things in a fridge so when buying this new fridge I bought one that was small because there is no way I can lose things in a fridge that is space limited. The funny thing is that the bottom freezer is as large as a standard fridge. I am no longer tossing out food because I can see everything at once.

I love these tips i love them. Along with this, i have been learning with time to only buy what you need and buy the quantities of what you can really eat. Cook smaller and stockpile smaller because then you waste food and get overwhelmed with huge amounts of food still in your storing closet going to waste because they eventually expire.

I popped my DH leftovers from the Mexican restaurant into the freezer last week before we left for vacation, For lunch today I pulled out the frozen leftovers (one beef tamale, refried beans and rice) heated it up and split onto two plates along with some tortilla chips with cheese melted on top for the two of us.

We don't throw out any leftovers. I live mainly on oatmeal. I make a batch one day and eat half that day and half the next day, no waste at all. My partner eats meat so for him we batch cook rice and beans and meat in the instant pot. Makes 6 - 8 meals for him. I also batch cook things like spaghetti or mac and cheese with tuna for him, so that he doesn't have to eat the same thing for each meal. It works. Nothing at all gets wasted.

We have been eating creative meals more often, and my husband loves it because it saves us hard earned money! I will try to make it a point to do this once a week.

Not true! I use Safeway's web site to order my groceries online, and then use their curbside pickup. (We live in a rural area and home delivery isn't available to us yet.) Prices are exactly the same as "in store". Safeway does add a $3.95 service fee to the total order. Considering they do all the work of getting my order together, and then bagging my items, and then bringing the order to my car, and then loading everything into my trunk === I think the service fee is a bargain!

I see no reason why men should not work around the house if he is retired, household shores and/or repairs etc. My husband works more than me, so I do most of the housework, but sometimes it’s a bit too much so then I ask him to do something. If I’ve had a long day I sometimes tell him nicely and casually about my day, all the things I did at home and at work, it often makes him realize all that I do and he volunteers to do something.
