It boils my blood everytime I see rubbish in the bush. I try to do my bit by picking up bits of rubbish up after every ride but this is a on going problem. Both 4wd and trail bike community need to put their act together.
Yes especially in the US. Tons of shit laying around. Its everywhere. Even in the woods behind my house. I've picked up so much junk and shit just strewn around the place. Parks are overrun with junk.
In the most recent grassroots hard enduro race i saw this during the race, people throwing energy gel wrappers or water bottles onto the ground because they were too lazy to put them into their backpack. That kind of stuff will ruin future chances to use that property again. If i was the landowner id be angry seeing my land littered on and disrespected
How hard is it to bring back what you brought in? Our goal should be to get non-riders to not even notice we are there. No loud pipes, no unnecessary roost, rider one gear up I'd getting on the "pipe"... If I've come across a non-rider (hiker, MTB, horseback) on the trail I would ask them if the trails they were just at needed any maintenance. Maybe there is a downed tree or something similar. I almost always have a pocket saw on me for those very situations. Maybe we get some of them on our side. You can catch more bees with honey then you can vinegar.
Couldn't be anymore true. Amount of trash left in nature is shocking. Thanks for this video, hopefully these guys sees this and change their behaviour.
Its compulsory to throw food containers and red bull bottles over every square inch of thailand. Ive found it a great safety feature now. If im riding a tech trail and the rubbish stops i know the way ahead is too dangerous or blocked.
I don't know if they're common in Australia but here in much of the US Side by sides and 4x4 sport utility ATVs tear the hell out of our trails. They love to keep the hammer down at every slight trail disruption especially while still wet out. Even if the economy can sustain those expensive machines I'm not sure if the great outdoors can
The side by sides especially bring an entirely different rider group. There's no learning curve and you have to screw up REAL bad to get hurt. Anyone with a little credit can get in one of those and seems like so many don't know where they can and can't ride. We had a local place that's got nearly all 2 track (ATV width) trails torn all to hell by a group of side by side guys recently. It's obvious as soon as you leave the staging area any of the big ones are too wide for the trail, but their solution was to just force their way through.
Here in the states, the side by side riders are notorious. Too fat drunk and stupid for dirt bike? Great get a $30k side by side and load up the cooler.
I agree whole heartily with this subject. Although when my wife saw just the title she asked if this was a video just about me! She questions if I should be riding at all!
The situation of loosing riding space via government closure reminds me of the scene from Full Metal Jacket when Gunnery Sergeant Hartman finds a jelly doughnut in private Pyle's foot locker. 'You people, have not given private Pyle the proper motivation, so from now on, every time private Pyle fucks up, I will not punish him, I will punish all of you'. Not saying we should hold these flogs down and konk them with soap wrapped up in a towel until they cry like new-borns, but not saying we shouldn't either. Plenty of 'special interest' groups hate dirtbikes and would love to see it gone from these areas. This kind of carry on is handing it to them on a platter. If thats you, you're a cnut. Straight up.
I don’t get it either, the only things that come to mind is either - people are entitled and think their tax dollars of park fees mean someone will clean up after them and/or the live in filth in general and their house looks like those campsites. It’s also not just dirt riders, but people who go in the woods in general. I’ve seen trash left by hikers, mountain bikers, backpackers…etc. The thing that gets me the most is when people leave bags of garbage behind after camping out of a vehicle. The garbage is *IN* the bag, you’re *IN* a truck. Toss it in the bed and dump it at the first dumpster you see. These folks need to be studied.
I don't mind a guy doing a controlled wheely on the street, but the ones that needlessly hit the rev limiter around people and vehicles to impress, and intimidate, need someone to adjust their attitudes for them. Even when riding my Harley, I never accelerate past a vehicle aggressively, without warning, I'll make sure they hear me coming or know I'm coming up, ahead of time, or wait till I get past them before getting on the throttle hard.
@@supermotardedforever Good on you man, I didn't mention it, but I certainly do like a good show, I pause and watch anyone with good skills like that. ...and much respect that you don't get off on intimidating others, we all can, but the 'real' ones in our bunch don't.
My riding area, McLean creek AB CAN is a massive tree farm and that’s enough reason for many people to treat it like crap. Fortunately some of us are better than that
I live in Israel, where you can currently go off-road almost everywhere, by foot, bike, dirt bike or 4wd. Since too many people are leaving their garbage behind, and too many a-holes that riding wherever they want, including off designated trails on nature reserves, on agricultural fields etc. destroying landscapes and crops. "Thanks" to them, there is a bill suggested to ban any off roading, at all!
Stock pipes don't come with spark arrestors on many bikes so ya gotta buy an after market exhaust in our neck of the woods. Not a lot of quiet options q4 being one of the quieter choices.

There's a good 20% of humanity that have selective sight/memory, and just throw shit out of their vehicles and or person all the time. They don't need to be hidden away in the bush to do that. In the city, in the countryside, down a one way rural road, in a National Park. Crap thrown away and littering the side of our roads has always been there, but appears to be getting worse. I can't help myself. If I'm 20 km away from civilisation and see the ripped off end of an energy bar wrapper I just have to pick it up...
I agree completely, so depressing... I dump trash off my bike at a county boat ramp can, and I know eventually some cop is gonna harass me for dumping trash in a trash bin! 🤪😘
On some rides I take a garbage bag with me to take up some trash. By us there is mostly waste from mtb Riders, but I don't care. I get very positiv reactions of people seeing me doing so when I dump the trash into the public trash buckets. Plus-points for Enduro Riders ;-)
My dilemma. Keep riding by myself on self made tracks or start take people in there and hope they keep it to them selves. You use to be able to just ride around the cycles for abit so people couldn't remember how to get there but now they have gps trackers.
Like everyone else, it absolutely makes me wild seeing rubbish. And the attitude of unregistered an unlicensed frustrates me too. This is the best comment in video, "adult dickheads say cops should be out chasing real criminals". It's so true. We need to educate kids and realise public bush isn't a right. We need to be registered, and not make a mess. So simple. Great vid 👍
Some people just don’t grow up. They will always be angry at the world and feel entitled to do what they please. Unfortunately it’s why we need cops at all. I like how you shoot straight in your videos but sadly I doubt it will change anything because it’s all to do with people that refuse to learn or be told anything. As they say, you can lead a horse to water..
I'm thinking about buying a bike ( after 30 years of not having them) and going bush lightly, but hearing about the rubbish has reinforced my fear of humanity. I think I'm turned off going off road in any fashion now. It would really get to me.
We have the problem here in PA in the States. Some are locals, some are from out of town, all of them deserve to have their possessions throw into the Sun. I hate it so much.
It's even more harsh in places that are already really limited in places ti ride. Where I live, there is no public land you can ride on, and most people that own large swaths of private land actually live in other states, and this is their quiet get away property. Because of that you have so many dickheads that will go and tear up a place when they know the owners are gone, or someone will go have a rip through a public park after dark, and it really just completely puts our odds of having more riding space to zero. As it is I'm fortunate to have a few chunks of private land to ride, and my bike is road legal, so I can enjoy all of our gnarly class four unmaintained roads (calling them roads is being generous)
We have been having that garbage problem in the States. I believe its a generational problem. Parents in the previous decades haven't been holding there kids accountable and teaching them to respect other people. The parents clean up after them. Give them what ever they want when they want it. Now there "adults" and to damn selfish and lazy to act like a decent person. They just expect other people to do the hard work for them.
Even most ones who don't leave trash don't carry chainsaws or digging tools are trashing trails by going around downed trees and cutting switch backs they lack the skills to ride
I think you should do a vid about the people who really shouldn’t ride. Obviously there are litter bugs in all elements of society. Its not peculiar to dirt bikers. I think what really qualifies someone to have their bike confiscated is digging holes with the back wheel. People spend heaps of time building trails only to have them wrecked by assholes who have the clutch dexterity of Shrek( probably unkind to Shrek). These people should be named and shamed by their friends. They should be required at a minimum to watch and practice all the skills advocated for on this channel. I would even go as far as to say that they should attend a training session with someone like Tim Coleman.
in sa we get money back if we take our empty cans and bottles into the depots. on almost every single ride I get home with a few bucks worth of bottles and cans. almost enough to pay for the half tank of fuel I use on my ride. the part I cant understand is... if they can get it in there, why cant they get it out? its lost weight and can be crushed down to take up even less space than it took up to bring it in.

My philosiphy:
Riding where your not supposed to - yes
Ignoring road safety laws - yes
Annoying people - no
Leaving trash - no
No matter how far in the woods we go there’s gonna be some old tires, a busted TV, a washing machine and a moldy couch along the way.
Respect for making this! More offroad riders should care about the environment they all love so much to ride in
