How to play the Kingdom of Swadia

- Step 1: Choose Impoverished Noble Grindset✔️

So you want to play Swadia? You came to right place. If my video didn't tell you what to do I will explain the whole process I took here:
Step 1: Here we pick a specific life path because of steps 2 and 3 which will later on catapult us very efficiently to step 4. The most important option is the first one. Choose impoverished noble and the other options you can be a bit more lenient towards but you must pick the impoverished noble origin or else you cannot do the special quest interaction for...
Step 2: Now that we are of a noble background seek out Count Rochabarth. If you find him while he is staying at a castle then that is perfect. If you find him traveling on the field then wait and follow him until he enters a castle. Once then you can go speak to him. You will have a special dialogue where he claims you are a fake noble and you can face him in a duel. Remember you must speak to him inside the castle. If you do this on the field he will fight you will his whole army and you will have no chance. Defeat Count Rochabarth for some easy renown and proceed to...
Step 3: Did you know you can become a vassal at level 1? The whole process we did allows us to do just that. Find King Harlaus and simply ask. It is not a 100% guarantee so don't be surprised if he says no. You can add persuasion points when you start the game as well as getting a quest to give you some free reputation with Harlaus. If he says yes then congratulations! You now how a fief and earn taxes. If he says no then you will just have to keep doing Harlaus quests until he says yes. Once finished we an begin...
Step 4: Time to build our army. Swadian Knights are incredible fighters but are very expensive to train and field on top of the time it takes to acquire them. To circumvent this we will begin doing quests for the village we now control and maybe another village or two. Doing so will increase your reputation with these villages. The higher your reputation the more troops you can recruit each time the village lets you enlist recruits. But not only that! Once you get to a high standing in these villages you can skip straight to recruiting Swadian Men-at-Arms and even Swadian Knights for the same price as a first tier recruit! Once you get into a position where you can easy obtain and replenish your army with the highest tier cavalry it is time to...
Step 5: Become the Butterlord. Now that you have your army it's time to equip yourself. Don a full suit of plate armor and a great winged helm with your weapons of choice (My preferences are a Sword of War or Morning-star with Lance on horseback and Siege Crossbow for well...sieges). You're ready. You can now enjoy the Swadian endgame right at the start of the game. Use your all Swadian Knight army and pick out your preferred companions and go conquer Calradia!

I just became a Swadian vassal following the steps here within a couple days (in-game time) , Dhirrim has already fallen to the Khergits and my village is looted. The joys of being a butterlord.
At least you can feast in Praven and drown all your sorrows in butter my friend

Joined Rhodoks and the only thing Swadia has left is Praven and Suno along with 2 castles.
Yeah… Dhirim gets taken in the first like month of the playthrough, usually to the Nords
How to Swadia
Step 1: cavalry F1 F3
Step 2: butter
Step 3: feast while in war with 4 other factions

@@user-ky2xq6rv7w sorry for late reply. Basicly in a mod for warband called "Floris" (great mod, adds more troop types and quality of life improvments) there was a bug that was patched later, where raiding a village would give only butter. Like a full inventory of butter.

I remember first time playing as swadia because of the cool looking knights, and i was like fighting so amazingly to get this one castle, thinking clearly i did the most to get this castle, i should probably got it right,
Happened once, twice then three times he keep giving himself the castle.
I end up joining nord and just go and fight every swadian unit i see

Never had this problem but then again I made the butterlord love me and multiple others so I had no problems
The less pleasant run I ever did playing MB: Warband, I just hate playing with them.
This also happened to me, so I waited to be strong enough then I turned into a Swadian Rebel by pledging myself to Isola and she gave me anything I wanted, so I started with Praven and went slowly from there, cornering Swadia to the center of the map, and they had other wars too so, they were f*cked
1.Get every kingdom to attack Swadia.
2.Take over a castle that was weakened by a seige.
3.Continuesly recruit Swadians.
4.Turn every Swadian recruit into a Swadian Knight.
5.Steam role armies of Hundreds with 40 knights.
6.PROFIT!

The AI doesn’t know how to min/max so Swadian knights while not quite great infantry are more then enough for the tier 2-3 trash in most towns; and in the field rekt everything with nigh impunity.

Am I the only one who chose Swadia during their first playthrough cause they're the first one on the list?
Also it's easiest faction to play. You gotta promote all your troops to Swadian Knight and once you have 60+ knights you're the strongest person in the Calradia.
@@BARONWODENRIC against the AI yeah. I'd say huscarls are the best overall...but if it's unmodded yeah the only real sucky place is the rhodok mountains or maps with a lot of forest. Big armored horsie bois really roll the game...hella expensive too.
I always played khergit.
my first pick was khergit, mostly because I first went to shariz and got murked by desert bandits twice and thought, "man, these cav archers are strong."
but then I realized sieging was hard if I go in without hired blades so I returned to sarranids. the mace is supreme.

Reason why King Harlaus keep butter feast in the middle of war is because he knows well his knights will take care everything. Damn

Harlaus did that to me three times.... that's when I became a Swadian Rebel, sweeped his lands and took them for myself, and I begun with Praven
I love it when like 3 cities are under siege by the Rhodoks, Khergits and Nords and every village from Praven to Castle Derchios is burning, peasants and caravans are being slaughtered and enslaved and Harlaus is still having a fucking feast.
I believe it's because the AI needs feasts to raise Vassal loyalty.
That's why he always throw feast all time in order to raise his vassal loyalty.
Watching you play this makes me realize I loved this game more than bannerlord

I remember that time where my troop of roughly 80 knights took out the entire combined forces of the Khergits on open field 😂 good fucking times man. That battle lasted like an hour real time, iirc, I was mentally exhausted at the end
I love the community surrounding this game, we really know how to have fun. I did start with Nords, but my 1st owned lands under my banner WERE originally swadian, needless to say my endgame army is mostly Swadian Knights 😂 (with some other specialized units from each faction)
Just started playing warband again,started as a swadian bc of their good units,i have 3castles,we have almost every single castle except Jelkala,and guess what,every castle has that great Harlaus's flag over it,every day is a feast,being swadian is great😄

Warband is still hella fun, it have things that bannerlord miss terribily...feast...and ladies court...that was a annoy but realistic grind to make her fall in love with you. Instead now you just win the charisma check and it is done. Oh and tournament keep giving money, you just have to keep change city and after a while the betting start again to be higher and you get a lot of money again. In bannerlord after you win 50 tournament you get 500 gold. Oh and the unique companions like Jeremus are good meme materials. Anyway you guys play the game wrong, if you get 20+ friendship with any king he wont stop giving you castle. Last time I played warband i was Sarranid and with 60 friendship with Hakim he gived me 3 cities 2 castels 4 villages. I literally could stop to play I was hella rich.

After all the feast, sieges everyday and lit defending swadia whith a tiny sword and a funny helmet i will still being a swadian for the rest of my life, long live the butter!

Conquered the whole map only using knights. Maybe owned 15 crossbow men. And I only had them because I selected the wrong upgrade..

For some reason every game I play Swadia gets rekt by the Kergs/Rodocks/Vagiers and the Desert people get Uxkhal/Suno
