Thank you for your contribution to the sport, PC’s amateur support sponsorship, the awesome memories, for always taking a moment to say hi to the average Joe. You are definitely an icon, due to an insatiable desire to win, and have set a standard of excellence for others to strive for. Congratulations sir!
I always admired Mitch and all ways bought his 2-stroke pipes and then bought his pipe for the YZ400 when it came out and loved it, his adverts from 76/77 loved looking at his porting and pipes as the mags where hard to get in N/Ireland because off the troubles and when I would get a mag I would read it until it fell apart. Thanks Mitch.
God Bless Mitch he raced got hurt and said let’s make the best bikes out there be my blood sweat and tears you are a great man thanks for what you do .... God gave you a talent and you ran with it .... congratulations you deserve this and so much more
When you start looking at the people who have won this award, you begin to realize how prestigious it really is. Mitch Payton epitomizes this. Congratulations Sir!
My best Mitch Payton story. I purchased David Pingree's 1996 Kawasaki KX125 Splitfire/Pro Circuit Factory bike at the end of 1996 from a dealer. Back then Pro Circuit got some of their bike from Dealer Network. The bike accidentally went back to a dealer with all the full secret Pro Circuit parts on it. I showed up at the 1997 Hangtown Amateur day and needed some suspension set up done. So I go up to the Pro Circuit Semi and Jim "Bones" Bacon comes out looks at the bike, goes back into the Semi and Mitch wheels out and whispers something into Bones ear. Bones comes over to the bike, looks at the cylinder and nods his head at Mitch. Mitch yells over "want to trade a brand new cylinder and head for the one on the bike?". Right then I knew I had the good Cylinder and Head on there and Mitch wanted it back. Bones set up the Suspension and I was leaving on my way to the gate, and Mitch yells out... "Bring the bike back after your Moto, leave it here and we will service it". I didn't take it back after the Moto. I sold that bike at the end of that season like an idiot. Cody Metzger if you are out there and if you still have the bike. I will buy it back buddy.
Amazing accomplishment! I know from experience that Mitch Payton builds super fast motors. I always wanted to put a pro circuit pipe on my KTM 250 SX! I wanted to use an 06’ pipe on my 07’ KTM 250 SX I read that it boosted 4 HP in top end. Congratulations Mitch Payton. 😎🥇🇺🇸🏁❤️
I love MC above everything!!!!! He is King! But Ricky's pro circuit #70 Kawasaki is the coolest bike ever!!! He sighed my shirt at my county fair Ricky Casey Johnson pingree Mike katin Jason rogers
They only care about their sponsored racers. The average Joe doesn’t even show up on pro circuits radar. I’ve been emailing pro circuit and trying to ring for ages to get a pipe for a 1990 rm250 and linkage and triple trees for a 2005 kx125, but they just ignore you.
Mitch is a legend but PC the company is run by arse holes that don't care, they have the jigs for all old school bikes but don't give a fuck about keeping the bikes going that put them on the map, even if it was premium prices in limited runs it would not hurt, they could have a limit number say 100 pipes and make people put a 25% deposit down to show intent on buying with a counter on the website so when they hit the number they send you an email saying full payment is required and the pipe will be ready in ???? weeks/days etc! If not at least sell the jigs to Doc Wob or somebody that will put them to good use and help preserve the history bike!
Best tuner, team owner and eye for horseflesh in the history of ANY sport

@@fullnoyz , Yes that year was the best looking of those Splitfire/Pro Circuit bikes in my eyes.
