@@user-lv0co35dy3 Most of us don't hate Singa, we just have issues with him as a composer. (There are exceptions of course, and that one dude with the Kefka pfp seems to be one them.)

The only part that i don't like is the one after the intro. After that, the intro, chorus and outro is amazing, can't understand why so much people is hating this version (i suppose some didn't hear the full version theme)

Indeed, i played tocs 1 to 4, and i think tocs 3 and 4 has modern theme in it. Which is why tocs 3 and 4 ost is way better than 1 and 2. I hate it when fandom become toxic and trashing someone who involved in that game, people just can't relax and enjoying the game lmao.
@@Rumiatingel I loved each of the OSTs between the 4 games, but 2 and 4 really hit the high for me. And yeah for real LOL, people gotta learn to just enjoy the game and not hate. :)
@@Rumiatingel But that's the thing, when they *can't* enjoy the music because Falcom outsourced it to a subpar composer they are allowed to voice their dislike. In fact I'll go further, they *should* voice their disapproval because the alternative is to say nothing and just slowly lose enthusiasm for Falcom's products, something I'm sure the company wouldn't want. At least this way if they notice that their fans are disappearing they will see the reasons why. You all need to stop being white knights for professionals, it's not "toxic" or "hate" to openly and bluntly state when something did not meet your expectations from the company you've been a fan of for years.

@@Rumiatingel Some of his tracks are good, some of his tracks are hot garbage. Just because you can't handle honest opinions which aren't praising him that doesn't mean they're "toxic". I don't just place the blame on him for the horrible tracks though, Falcom also accepts and uses them in their games which can sometimes ruin an otherwise epic moment.
So far for me the story of these games makes me keep buying them, but one of Falcom's biggest selling points is their music so they really should know what their fans think. People rarely used to complain before Singa started being widely used, it's not just a "hate train" or a "hate bandwagon" as the white knights wish it was, you have fans genuinely disliking Falcom tracks now when it didn't used to be the case.
Uhm...I like this one. No idea why people seem to be so divided on the soundtrack.
On a side note, I think that people should just wait until theyve played the game. I wasnt a huge fan of CS3s soundtrack at first but fell in love with it while playing it.
I get what you mean about context, I've personally experienced that as well. But I've seen this track in context and it honestly doesn't really help it.

That's an effect those game have on us, yes. I'm also not a fan of CS4 Soundtrack and I'm so sure I'll be humming the musics after I play it xD
The only Cold Steel track I never really jived with was CS2's main battle theme. CS3 had some solid battle themes, but the Beyond The Journey instrumental hit hard whenever they used it. I got so psyched up for New Class VII vs the Stahlritter.

It doesn't have the punch that the instrumental versions of CS3's and 4's openings had; those songs in general were more intense on the instrumentation, while No End No World is kinda soft and relies more on the vocals.
No way this is worse than CS4's instrumental opening. The synths in that track made it unbearable to listen to.

Still pissed off on how CSIII and Hajimari managed to get good instrumental versions of their openings, while CSIV has to suffer through the horrible synths even though the OP itself is hyped as hell.

Its so strange, My fave trails games are the sky trilogy, My fave music by far is also in the sky trilogy but I always hated the battle music in sky. It was the one area of music I felt the cold steel games trumped it was the battle music especially cold steel 1. Im listening to this and thinking....meh...still better than sky battle music and honestly I thought cold steel 3s soundtrack was just decent. this to me looks like it will be similar in quality, I dno maybe I have weird taste. Tell ya what though ao no kiseki battle theme was sweet too :) and silver will is king above all anyway :P
Sometimes it happens, I honestly think they ran out of money this time since the opening is just the Game CG's mashed together like it was made by a fan who played the game instead of a good animation like CS1-4 so meh. Even the Sky series have a better opening design than Hajimari. So maybe it's a money issue with the Corona Virus situation making almost all projects over Japan to be messed up at the end.

i like this ost but it doesn't really come close to being as good as Majestic Roar.
I mean it was built up hype from one game in comparison to finally defeating Osborne who was shown to be a villain incoming from all the way in Trails in the sky 3rd
@@zearow5458 Agreed. Also, CS1 Ennormous Inner Strenght and Majestic Roar on CS4 those were amazing. But I think it's quite hard to achieve such masterpieces. Both of them are good because they follow the theme of those games, you can hear the chords for their openings there and they are good.
Also, the fact that Falcom seems to have more than one person doing the musics for the trails may be the issue of the quality floating between tracks. All of them are good to me though.

This track just relies on the vocals too much to really work without them. There are parts I like, 1:28 is surprisingly good in my opinion, but the rest is kinda meh

I feel like there's something missing while listening to this. It's not a bad song exactly, but it doesn't really resonate with me. I would like to hear this song in like a more orchestra like style, I have a feeling that would sound absolutely awesome.
It resonates with me. Not for the ost itself but for the fights that go with it. The fights carry this ost and make them memorable for me. That's bad.
Zearow Yeah, I haven’t played the game myself (I live in Europe and will have to wait for a localization) but I watched a live streamer play it and in that moment, that boss fight, it was really good. That is why I ended up here to listen to it again but ended up somewhat disappointed.

Then came the sax, strange, but Singa has habit of using the thing for no good reason and typically it doesn't really hurt the track.
Then came the guitar. And oh my word. I think this is the same guitar tone as in Boss Theme 3, yet it sounds so much worse here for some reason.
Goodness this is one of the few Singa tracks I actually dislike, even though I really want to like it.

Why is the instrumental's instrumental worse than the instrumental of the vocal..?
I can hear multiple instruments overlapping each other trying to play the exact same main melody of the song.
I don't mind if the instruments swap position back and forth but to play 2-3 of them on the same note and overlapping can cause some disorientation in the theme.
The Sax also doesn't help much... I'd rely on violin for the lead instrument, otherwise a electric guitar, then supporting instruments can be bigger Brass instruments for the low to mid notes in the harmony.
In a very loud composition, the Piano is very hard to stand out in the midst of a rock jam, with the very loud drums, it stands out the best with fewer instruments or with softer instruments as harmony or support like the flute and violin/strings.
